How would you Know a Puppet Nation?

Postby Royale Philippines » Wed Dec 12, 2012 1:43 am

When I was reading the topic here in this forum about the Basics of Military Gameplay I came across about Puppet Nations that alarms me a little, and if that happens why the game doesn't ban players to have multiple nations?

and also HOW CAN I IDENTIFY A PUPPET NATION?? :?:

It has strings attached to its head, hands and feet.

On a serious note, you're allowed to have as many nations as you want - but only one can be in the World Assembly at any one time.

 Ha! but really why would someone want multiple nations when its very hard to keep in touch with it?!

There's multiple reasons; it helps to have multiple nations in Raiding & Defending, people may want to participate in multiple regions at once, or they may want to get more than 2 issues per day. I'm pretty sure there are additional reasons to those, as well.

I would go by the number of post on the forum vs. the age of the nation. If old nations that have no or very few posts suddenly show up on forums, that should raise a red flag, same with newly created nations that post the same option as an old one above it. For example, I exposed someone who was using the same puppet nations they created to populate their region casting written votes on a forum. They never posted for those nations until this particular vote came up, then they all came out of the woodwork, and you could tell by the very unique stile of writing the person was using they where all played by the same person. You don't have to be a detective to figure it out, just be observant and put the facts together.

Your welcome. there where some other "tells' that gave away that particular Puppet Flooder now that I think about it. The mod stepped in and the vote was shut down. I'm not sure if anyone got into trouble, but they did piss the mod off and broke rules, that I do know.

You can't. I have a plethora of puppets, BTW.
"Send forth all legions! Do not stop the attack until the city is taken! Slay them all!"
>Can I invade other people's regions?

Yes. The practice of "region crashing," where a group of nations all move to a region with the aim of seizing the WA Delegate position, is part of the game. Certain groups within NationStates are particularly adroit at this, and can attack very quickly.
>Once I've taken over a region, can I eject everyone else?

You can try. Invader Delegates tend to have very little Regional Influence, which makes ejecting long-time residents difficult. But Delegates can be as kind, generous, evil, or despotic as they wish. It's up to regional residents to elect good Delegates.

The only other way to tell a puppet nation is if they actually tell you they're a puppet.

"I labeled my puppet nations what they really are.."

Postby Royale Philippines » Fri Dec 14, 2012 2:08 am

I after I read more about puppet nations I made two puppet nations in two different regions to serve as "satellites".

I specified them as colonies, and added info in their fact books and labeled them as puppet nations to avoid confusion and understand better.
