Password reset email not appearing.

Postby InternetToryland » Sat Nov 03, 2012 10:57 am

So I have a couple of nations on NS. One of them I've apparently forgotten the login for.

I've tried to login to it, only to be told that it no longer exists (despite only being set up in the last couple of days) and when I try to reset the password using the email I provided on registration, no email appears in my inbox.

The nation in question is the nation of Gravitas.http://www.nationstates.net/nation=grativas

How can I recover this other account?

Grativas seems to have been logged into recently? Are you sure you have the nation's name correct?

Are you sure the e-mail is correct on that nation? If you are certain and it is the same as your current nation, you may want to file a GHR.

Im sure the email is correct but its not the same as this nation.

This is all very embarassing as I logged out of Gravitas to create this nation barely an hour ago. :/

Have you checked the spam folder in your email for the password recovery email? Some e-mail websites filter NS e-mails into the spam folder. If it's still not there, I'm afraid there is nothing else you can do.

Deleted nation Gravitas
Founded: Antiquity
Last activity: Wed Sep 1 2004
Population: 1.794 billion

Active nation The United Socialist States of Grativas
Founded: Fri Nov 2 2012
Last activity: Sat Nov 3 2012
Population: 6 million

are you sure you are looking for Grativas and not for Gravitas? "vit" cant be the one you're looking for, but it explains the "doesn't exist anymore", while "tiv" is still alive and kicking, and apparently only a few days old.

Given this excerpt from the GHR:

I think Riem is correct.

You're right, it was Grativas I was looking for. Oh hell thats embarrassing. :o

All I can say in my defence is that its an unconscious spelling mistake.
