WWII-Era RP discussion thread (CLOSED/OOC)

Unfortunately the opening isn't as good as I hoped it to be due to a severe case of writer's block, but it should start things off.

I've always wanted to start a WWII RP, that era in History has always fascinated me, but due to time constraints I never had any long periods of free time where I could devote myself to one. Thankfully I now have that free time, so here we are.

Basically, you would RP as your NS Nation and choose a side, Axis, Allies, or go all Switzerland on it and stay Neutral, and we would just go from there. Keep in mind that this is the NS world. There is no Third Reich, United Kingdom, Soviet Union, etc. It's just our nations as either one side, the other, or neutral, during the 30's and 40's. No advanced technology that would give your nation an unfair advantage. I'd like to get a few people before we start however as I'd like to not only make it more interesting but also be able to find a good way to start off, whether it be in a conference room in your nation signing War Pacts or out on the Battlefields guns blazing.

Im interested but before you go axis and allies I need to know what sides fight for what.

Basically the same as in WWII. The Axis would fight in favour of a single ruler, so the Axis would be mostly made up of Monarchies, Empires, Fascist States, etc etc. The Allies would be for rule of the people, so Democracies, Parliamentary Monarchies, Communists States, etc. And of course Neutral is any state that's just trying to survive the war.

I'm interested in this too. Considering I'm an Empire, I'll probably be with the Axis. Just wondering though, are we going to use the real world map?

Yes it is still open, and no, we'll probably be okay with just a description of where all our nations are in conjunction with each other.

Haha no it will not be. We'll all be using our Nationstates countries, so no Real world map.

Of course! You can even create your own technology! The only rule is that it must stay within the boundaries of the late 30's to 1944. Nothing more advanced than that. This includes Atom bombs and Missiles, we'll have none of that.

Tag- for interest.

Will we be using deducted populations to keep it realistic for the era?
If so, mark my nation down as neutral.
I will probably use the Panzer IV and Panzer VI (Tiger), the "Panther" Panzer V will probably be a rare occurance in our appearances. For weaponry I will be taking that of the American-style weaponry. For warfare tactics I will be using a British/USSR mix of defensive hit-and-run warfare.

My nation is land-heavy and only has 1/4 coast-line. (Let alone that the nation is rather large in cubic area, so a 1/4 coast-line is still a costly position to defend.

This looks really interesting, but I've never done RP before, so I'm not sure if you guys will want me...
If you're okay with my lack of experience, I think I'd be a neutral to start with. I'm an empire, but a democratic socialist one.
