Can you update the map again when you can? I've conquered 4 provinces on the south and west side of my territories.

Thanks anyway.

Actually I already did that. I think so at least.
If not, sorry I may not have been 100% up-to-date with the map, but there's been alot going on and I'm quite busy IRL.

Ah yes, about reviving the thread, I was going to create a new one, the 1500 one for those who have heard about it, but Mon has done a great job in his, though it's not quite to my taste at all. So, we'll have to find another time period. What do you think guys, say beginning of the dark ages? Personally I'm partial towards ones where we can have small nations that grow from the start, mostly to just have a bit of a different atmosphere from the "sprawling empire" ones.

Perfect. I'm not sure that it'll be up so soon though, I have stuff to do. After sometime between November 15-20 I anticipate I'll be very much free.

I'd say either the just after the fall of Rome, or the Wars of Religion around 1600

1600s sounds interesting, though I enjoy more diverse religion. "He's a heretic!" doesn't quite have the same catch as "he's a heathen!" but I might.

I'd like a dark ages RP, and I'm happy to help. 500-900 is kind of my favourite section of history and I know enough to get us through. Another option though would be to completely scrap the AR side. Britain in 600 is really interesting, though a specific date for then would have to be after Hatfield and that war. Then again, AR in Britain wouldn't be too bad as long as people kept to the fact they were either settlers who had arrived in the last few hundred years or Britons, Picts or Gaels. No Egyptians, though I guess you could get away with a Roman colony.

Okay guys, I'm making a decision. Possibly tonight, possibly tomorrow, I'll make a "closing post" on the IC, with the final state of the map and such. Then we'll be able to move on relatively soon afterwards to either a dark ages RP of a 1600 one. I may make a poll.

Remember, I can help out with a dark ages RP. Assuming you stick to AR I think having a settlers vs Celtic peoples RP would work out for the best. Imagine ending up as a Germanic pagan, desperately trying to choose whether to ally with Briton pagans or Germanic christians. Race or religion?

Even if you don't do Britain, I still think the small nations should have as many borders with each other as possible. That's the best way to encourage good RPing in favour of most people just conquering NPCs.
