Corrupt Dictatorship

Postby The Blazing Aura » Fri Nov 02, 2012 5:33 am

Drake landed his ship in the Daybreaker, after no reply from the UCB he left them after doing a little 'looting' of the frankly devastated colony. Moving back to the base he checked up with Clone, so far they hadn't heard from Sonar, but from what they had found out she was on a high risk, high priority mission. Meanwhile Nova had arrived quickly to gain some data from the databases, moving back out to give them to the contractor, so that they could find a worthy planet to colonize.

A flash, and suddenly the small Confederate Research Ship Numirron entered the Holm system, Clawson drive powering down as it activated its' sublight engines. At about eight tenths of the speed of light, it darted through the system, slowly approaching the sole, inhabited planet.

Planet Holm had been extremely loud in the past few decades, and with immediate action, the Numirron sent a blast of meaningless communications waves down onto the planet, hoping to silence the locals as it drifted in orbit. The automated ship, occupied only by the hyperintelligent sapient computer BABEL-1, sat and scanned the planet, processing every tidbit of information it got.

King Altroose the Second was still looking at the thing that fell... no life on board...

Suddenly, the radios all started blaring static. As the radios hissed, Altroose II looked up and asked, almost to himself... "Could it be aliens?"

His tail was twitching, and so was the nose on the tip of his muzzle. This could be what Holm needed...

(OOC: The planet is radioactive due to a nuclear mishap, to those who missed me earlier...)

ALTROOSE: "OK, NOBLEMEN! PREPARE THE ROYAL CRUISER, I'M GOING UP!"

"I said there were no bios on the ship- there's about-"

The Sapient machine once again interrupted.

"Scans indicate that you still use base-level steel alloys. You are in no situation to negotiate. The Captain will be here shortly. Any attempts to enter the pod will be met with force. COMPLY."

With that, the metal man seemed to withdraw, pushing the Engineer, Yishra, back towards the original aperture.

Some of the soldiers tried to follow at first, but Cadi barked them down. Eventually, Yishra was pushed back into the pod.
Cadi sighed and left towards one of the planes. One of the higher rank soldiers came up to her and asked her for orders. She waved her away, replying simply with "The others will take care of this now".
Her plane eventually left to the province capital, far in the north.

The area was eventually sealed off. Planes where constantly searching the ground from above, and below, soldiers swarmed like ants. But despite the activity, not much was being done. They simply waited, and watched.

yo dude, dont go around saying what my base levels are. We use advanced zero-grav alloying methods and nanocarbon materials.
also, are you by any chance on the East Coast? What's with the week long intervals?

OOC: My apologies for the long delays. Other things have taken up my attention, although I am located in Europe.
Regardless of the advancement of your alloys, one would think that a space-faring civilisation would be more advanced, no? I'm sure that by our standards it beggars belief, but the Curators are somewhat harder to impress.

Across the many pods, each landed in the desert, the same occurence began; apertures were cut out of the pods with pure heat, and metal soldiers and working machines appearec, beginning to shuffle the rest of the pods towards the one occupied by Yishra by either rolling, or for some of the smaller ones with the larger, four-legged construction robots, carrying them on their backs like legions of metal four-legged spiders.

But Yishra's pod remained almost suspiciously silent, the machines keeping a silent vigil outside of the pod, watching and seemingly waiting for a challenge from the local soldiers.

The soldiers, although itching for action, had been ordered to take no action, though the area had now intense aerial activity. Scientists had also begun to collect samples from the wreckage of the actual ship.

In the capital of Sector 4, Cadi spoke nervously to the other disciples, who had contacted her through video. "Proceed with the zero intervention we had planned when faced with possible hostilities. But we cannot let the leave, you understand me" Cadi nodded. The other disciples were acting as if it was her fault that the aliens had reacted so hostly, and a wrong step could mean disaster for her career, maybe even cost her her life.
"Anyway, if they show any major problems that may threaten the continuity of the Unity, we can always shell the place. I'm sure they will like our fusion bombs" he chuckled, though his half humorous comment was followed by a sad sigh. "Disciple of Sector 1 signing off" the screen went black. Cadi sighed and activated the hologram which showed the happenings of the area, switching casually through the cameras. "What a shame" she said to herself.

OOC
What part of Europe are you from? I myself am from Spain :)
And about technology, yes, you have a point, but I just saying that the Unity are a few hundred years ahead of modern Earth tech.

They froze in fear

The creature was alarmed by the explosion and now looked at those humans.
Suddenly it moved forwards to get them, another snack.

A younger Zork counted with his fingers and walked over to the General as he finished counting. "Sir, the results."
The General nodded a bit disgusted. "Good Lords, may the waves bless us all. A new King has been appointed."
The General didn't have to announce who the new king was. Everybody looked at the new king. King Ror, a very human friendly Zork. During the debate he proposed to forgive them and work together. Ror directly raised from his seat. "Retreat our man and propose peace! This great Empire of Merblod will raise again." The General shook his head. "Everybody who agrees with that, stand up." Another 47 of 145 attending Zorks raised. "Guards, arrest them. I hereby declare to make use of the right of interference given by King Martos." The 48 Zorks, including the King, panicked. The ones trying to defend themselfs were killed. The others were arrested and brought into a cave-prison. "As long as I live we will fight those humans out of our territory! For Merblod, my friends!", he shouted.

Approaching the probe in space, King Altroose II and his nobles approached the probe in the still experimental royal cruizer.

Ter'shik

As the creature came in closer,it became apparent that it was using the soldiers as playthings, and now, they are about to become midnight munchies for this voracious monster

Out of nowhere, one soldier, out of absolute fear, shot his gun

All others, startled, fired too,at the huge creature

All it once it seemed to happen,a barrage,a hailstorm,a rain of bullets flying at the creatures above

A helmet-message was sent once more

"Forget your orders, fire, fire, fire,do whatever it takes to kill these things!"

As this happened, the ODRT's began to land on the ground

Some decended slowly, others dropped like rockets into the floor

A few ODRT soldiers stayed inside their dropships, others came out upon landing

The president, after a long while of walking with the princess, looked at her,and said

"Why so silent?"

She turns her head to him, as she calls for an elevator, saying, "No reason, just in thought, you know how it is." She gives a slight grin, before the elevator finally opens and she and the president, along with some Security of course, enter it, before it's doors close and it begins to accelerate at incredibly fast speeds to the top floor, where a large suite awaits. The Princess then goes on to say, "This is where you'll be staying during your visit, you'll have 24 hour security in the Lounge." She points to a large Mech, and several soldiers who sit in the corner of the Lounge, their eyes scanning everyone as they exit the elevator.

The Blazing Aura wrote:And how do we know that the elevator will have less resistance than the stairs?" Clone asked, "Still I'll send an advanced party down first to check and secure the surrounding area. Corse" she called out behind her, to one of the humans leading his group, "Your group will go in advance, sweep the immediate area and set up radio contact, we'll move down through the elevator one group at a time, Srok'a" she called to one of the Kroot shapers leading his group "Your rearguard, we'll set up a small area outside the elevators to wait in, you go into the elevator last."
Clone turned to the human beside her. "If the elevator is too heavily guarded we'll go down the stairs, I doubt they've faced Kroot before."

"Erm.. I doubt the things in here have faced anything before, all the creatures in here are parts of experiments, they're brand new.. Some of the things in here have the ability to rip the arm off a mech then beat what's left of the mech down with it." The Helghast soldiers move up, checking out the hall-way leading to the Elevator. Within several seconds the troops begin sweeping the hall, checking the side rooms incase anything is waiting to jump out, after a few more minutes the area is cleared and the soldiers yell back for Sonar and the others to approach.

"You're not the only ones who could of done that" Sonar grumbled before moving forward, "Corse, take your group down first, if some of the Helghast wanna go with you let them, Meanwhile we'll move around, set up a barricade with all the stuff up here, and surround the elevator to guard it, just in case." Sonar gave out the orders, watching Corse and his twenty men enter the elevator the two saluted each other, it was a dangerous part of the operation, but it was one that had to be done.
