"Going For The Gold"
Welcome to the Everything Thread for Season 2 of the G.A.F.A
This season is being co-hosted by Vettrera and TaQud. Vettrera will scorinate the Alpha Conference, while TaQud scorinates the Omega Conference.
Teams are split into two pots for conference selection. Returning teams will be put into one pot, while new teams will be placed in another.
Format: Each conference will have 12 teams, teams will play single round robin style. Afterwards, the top 3 teams from each conference will automatically qualify for the playoffs. The next 4 teams, regardless of conference will compete in a Wild-Card Game to determine the final two slots. Teams will then play in an 8-Team Single Elimination Tournament to determine the Championship.
Locales & Bids: All regular season games will be played at the respective home team's stadium. The First Round of the Playoffs will be played in Vettrera (stadium TBA), while the Semi-Finals will be played in TaQud (stadium TBA). You are allowed to put in a hosting bid for the Prime Bowl (Finals). TaQud and I will open bidding after the 5th match, and decide on which location to accept after the 8th week or so. You are also able to produce a bid for the "Wild Card Game" that takes place immediately after the regular season.
RP: RP's will be scaled from 0-2 and will be cumulative. Teams that miss RP'ing will have their total degrade .5 points for each missed RP.
Ranking: Teams that participated last season have rank points ranging from .103-1.00
Rankings reset after every season, but returning teams will be given a slightly different multiplier to enhance their score.
