The Sniper Rifle, Type 2000, is a .338 Lapua Magnum bolt action long range marksman rifle. Designed by Castle Arms, and currently in service with both branches of the New Cordian Military, the SRT-2000 is capable of sub-MOA performance at over 1000 meters, and is fitted with a top quality Schimtt & Bender scope and Barret BORS targeting computer and rangefinder. The MBR-13 (Modular Bullpup Rifle, 2013) is an adaptable, multi-calibersystem built off the MBR-13 Base Unit

The key to the fantastic adaptability of our system is the use of our patented tri-receiver base unit technology. What this means is that the base unit pictured above is composed of three parts: upper, inner, and lower receivers. The upper receiver functions similarly to the upper receiver of an AR-15, by pulling the pin located at the rear of the weapon it can be tilted forward, exposing the internals for maintenance and disassembly. the upper receiver is made of aircraft grade aluminum, reinforced with carbon steel in the area surrounding the fireing chamber, to provide maximum user safety. attached to the upper receiver via internal locking lugs and the forward disassembly pin is the inner receiver. The inner receiver is block which houses the barrel, gas system, locking lugs for the non-reciprocating charging handle, and to which the bolt carrier is attached. The inner receiver is also made of aircraft grade aluminum, with the bolt carrier and the sections surrounding the firing chamber reinforced with carbon steel. the lower receiver houses the fire control group, ejection port, charging handle and other weapon controls. It also is designed to accommodate the mill spec AR-15 buttstock pads designed by Magpul Industries. The lower receiver is made of high-grade polymers, such as those seen in other popular weapons like the Glock or the AUG. it is also reinforced with carbon steel plates surrounding the firing chamber. Here at UMWS, we want you to rest assured that our weapons are 100% safe. For the operator, that is.

The base unit also makes use of another highly useful patented technology: Interchangeable magazine wells. Thanks to this innovation, your MBR can be adapted in the field to accept almost any known type of magazine, and for extra charge we will be willing to replicate a magazine well insert that will accept any proprietary magazine your nation happens to use ( within reason, obviously it must be a box magazine that fits the dimensions of the rifle, more exotic systems such as the en bloc clips used in the M1 Garand cannot be modified to fit our system, for obvious reasons).

it is also designed to be almost fully ambidextrous. With the exception of the bolt release and disassembly pins ( and magazine releases on some types of magazine well), every control on the weapon is fully ambidextrous. From the non-reciprocating charging handle to the fire selector switch, we wanted our rifle to be usable by every soldier in every situation. As a result, we were forced to make two innovations in our ejection port: 1. There is ejection port on each side of the rifle, one of which is blocked off with an insert that contains the cartridge ejector spurr. (this also allows us to use a different ejector for each cartridge, maximizing the reliability of ejection). on the other side is another insert which restricts the size of the magazine well to that optimal for the current cartridge. These can be easily removed and changed in the field by removing two pins. the side that is blocked off can also be switched, so that a shooter who prefers to shoot left-handed can adapt his rifle to eject out the right side. is not necessary to have the insert for the ejecting side in, but it is recommended when using pistol calibers or shorter cartridges to increase the reliability of feeding.. 2. Because in combat soldiers will inevitably have fire their weapons in both left-handed and right-handed positions, both injection ports are hooded with a cartridge deflector. Besides providing an excellent cheek rest, the cartridge deflector serves to deflect cartridges down at an angle away from the shooters face, allowing use from either side in a pinch, unlike other bull pup rifles such as the British L86.

We wanted to design a system that would be considered ergonomically sound, and extremely user-friendly. We also wanted a system that would be able to take advantage of the plethora of accessories available on the market for AR type rifles. as a result, the MBR is compatible with a number of components designed for the AR-15. These components include: trigger guards, fire selector switches, pistol grips, rubber butt-pads (only those made by Magpul), sights both of the flip up and fixed variety, and with the correct inner receiver, forearm components such as hand guards or free float quad rails. This gives the base unit alone an extraordinary degree of adaptability, allowing us to create custom weapon for you from the ground up.

One major advantage of adopting the MBR is the price. Unlike with other platforms were the only way to acquire it on the cheap is to sacrifice quality and technology, the MBR allows you to save considerably because instead of buying just for an assault rifle, you're buying a system that can replace your light machine guns, submachine guns, sniper rifles and Personal Defense Weapons. If you count all those up, you have five weapons to buy, maintain, distribute and acquire spare parts for. You also have five systems that you need to train your troops separately on. But with the MBR, you only have one weapon to keep track of, and only one weapon to buy. and instead of buying five weapons, plus spare parts, you're buying one weapon plus spare parts that can make it perform in any of the other five's roles. and troops trained on any MBR configuration will be automatically familiar with all the others. you don't need to be an MIT graduate to figure out how much time and money this platform is saving you. Because it can perform in any role except for a few (super high accuracy bolt action sniper rifle, high caliber mounted machine gun, anti-material rifle, shotgun, pistol and antitank/aircraft weapon), it allows extraordinary cross compatibility with your armed forces. For example, a soldier whose assault rifle breaks can often repair it using spare parts from a sniper rifle. Or submachine gun. And because of the ability to switch between calibers, you can save even more money by using captured enemy ammunition.
