Life in the Soviettan Province of Kipia (MT, Signup First)

Postby Sovietta » Fri Sep 07, 2012 8:24 pm

Tonis, Kipia, Sovietta

Tonis was the capital city and largest city of the Soviettan province of Kipia. A province that was home to native Soviettans. The city of Tonis is always busy as a lot of stores were selling their products to the people. There was a lot of entertainment in Tonis as well like football games, watcing movies etc although gambling was outlawed. Tonis was also a peaceful city. Behind the city lied a beautiful mountain range called the Kipian Mountains. In the winters, there was a lot of skying on the mountains. The Kipian natives enjoyed their entertainment in the mountains and the city. Not only that, every Saturday, the Kipian natives would go to their religious worshipping temples to worship their "almighty god" Gavoi. Gavoi was the God of everything. The Kipian religion was a monotheist religion as the Kipian natives always worshipped one god.

A man named Sudarni, a Kipian native born in Tonis, Kipia in 1993. Sudarni only had one name as some Kipian natives had only one name. Anyways, Sudarni was out for lunch. It was about noon and the sun was already hot, but the Kipian natives were used to the heat as they had been in it for thousands of years even before the Soviettan Russians, Chinese and the Luzilyan Swedish came to Sovietta.

On his way to a restruant, Sudarni would stop at a Luzilyan shop that was in the downtown area. There was always traffic. That was why Sudarni walked on foot because he knew that he would get stuck in a traffic jam. A red light on a stop light was on, and Sudarni walked across the street to the otherside where the Luzilyan shop was. He opened the door and went inside. "Muzas." said Sudarni to the cashier in Kipian native language meaning "hello".

"Hej, min kära vän," the Luziycan shopkeeper said in his native Swedish. He then switched to English with a harsh Swedish accent, giving away his Inledan origins, "My name is Ansgar Eleonara, and I commute to work here, from my hometown of Svartsten, around 60 kilometers from here. So, what would you like," and then finished off with the Swedish "vän?" It meant friend in Swedish, the native language of Svartsten. Once dependent on coal mines, it now is dependent on Tonis, but it has a sizable population, around 50,000 persons, somewhere in that ballpark, and maintain their Swedish culture.

Here, it is said to be the "nyckeln till fjällen," the key to the mountains, since in 15 kilometers is the Kipian mountain range. It had its own downtown, complete with a movie theater (biograf), a library (bibliotek), and many luxuries, including the Luziycan Museum (Lausitz Arkivet), dedicated to Luziycan and Inledan culture. Either way, each day brought a greater sense of dependence on Tonis, and tourism.

"The names, Sudarni, friend. I came here to buy some some groceries as I am running out of food and drinks. I have tried out Swedish food before when I went to a Luziyan restaurant one time and it was very good." said Sudarni. His accent was a bit deep as Kipian natives always had a bit of a very deep voice.

"Ah, ja, min vän," he said. "Go ahead, browse and then pay the amount, Mister Sudarni. Det är ett nöje att ge dig bästa möjliga service."

Yup, his store had just opened, opening at eleven in the morning and closing at ten in the evening. And indeed, it was his first customer. He was the owner of this store, which was named "Snabb-E-Mart," or "Quick-E-Mart." Unlike Kwik-E-Mart, the food is of authentic Swedish quality, and is actually good, for he forbids tampering of products.

Looking around, Sudarni grabbed a basket and started shopping. Sudarni grabbed 2 loaves of Swedish bread. Then he grabbed a container of swedish cookies. When Sudarni was done, he would pay his Soviettan dollars. Recently, the government of Sovietta had changed some of its dollars. the one dollar bill once had a President called Vada Losef on it, but was replaced by Jiang Lee, the president who introduced democracy to Sovietta, but then was murdered by the Dh'arconians that would plunge Sovietta into a year-long civil war. The civil war ended two years ago. Luckily the war affected only the Middle section of Sovietta and some northern states of Sovietta. Kipia was not affected by the war although it was occupied by foreign armies and communist armies, but they withdrawn within half a year after the civil war.

As he looked at the bill, he mourned, and lamented the occupation. Ignoring his tears, he then said, "It will be $18.49, min vän."

Sudarni handed the cashier $20 dollars. The bill had the face of President Vladimir Lesoth, who opened up more trade to the world. Lesoth was a market socialist and he was president before Jiang Lee. Lesoth was still alive today, but as he ages, he is getting more health problems especially with his heart. Recently Lesoth had a stroke and had to go to the hospital for treatment. Then, Lesoth went home to recover.

Austin would be walking the streets of Tonis. Austin Phillips was born in 1992 in Tobis. He knew the city by heart, and he loved it there. The Kipian Mountains were amazing. However the city was busy as usual. Austin was out getting lunch, but didn't drive so he wouldn't be stuck in the city's bustling streets. On the way, he would see Kipian temples and Kipians worshiping inside them. He was disgusted by it. He was raised by his parents as a devout Christian, and taught about the evils of Gavoi, the Kipian god. The only deity he believed in was the Trinity- God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. With him he always carried his Bible in his pack, which also contained a laptop. He would go into the same restaurant that Sudarni went in. He said the greeting "muzas" and waited to order.
