What happens to prisoners who are proven innocent?

Prisoners who are proven innocent in Antarsia are monetarily reimbursed for each year they have been imprisoned. Amounts vary from 200,000 to 250,000 Airns (100,000-125,000 USD.)

They are also apologized to personally by a member the High Judiciary Council (The equivalent of the Supreme Court.) On national television.

Set free,clear of their so-called "criminal records" and re-instate them to their formal ranks(if they're in the military),reimbursed with a minimum of CM 10,000,000 to start back their lives and the government will help them find a place to stay(if they are single) and job(according to their CV and qualification)

Their rehabilitation is cancelled and they're allowed into society again.

It doesn't happen as the Oltharian Police Force is flawless and never makes mistakes. Though, were it to hypothetically ever happen, then nothing would be done. It's kind of hard to apologize to a corpse, especially after that corpse has been thrown into a furnace.

Nothing would happen, aside from the Leader of the Alliance personally issuing an apology, as the only way criminals are dealt with in the MSA is with a trip to a rehabilitation centre.

The standard punishment for serious crimes is a lifetime of medical experimentation, so... Assuming they're not dead, they would be released, treated for any chemicals in their body, and then compensated according to the damage done during their sentenced, as assessed by a doctor.

Upon being proven innocent they are released immediately and paid as per the highest pay grade they are eligible to revive for the duration of their stay in prison with an additional 50% as compensation, the media is obliged to give the news of their innocence equal prominence to the news of their conviction , and any ranks or qualifications that they possessed before their conviction are restored.

The private arbitrator who had sentenced the man to prison typically has insurance that covers the costs of compensation. So, the man is given another trial (by a different arbitrator) to determine what compensation it would take to make the released person whole. There is typically also a formal apology required.

If proven innocent they can immediately return to society as a normal citizen. If they were tried as Guilty, but the court decides they are innocent later on, they go to a rehabilitation center and is provided with a sum of money to help them get back on their feet in society.

If they appeal and are found innocent, then they are immediately released, the conviction quashed and the incident removed from their criminal record (if they have other stuff on there). They also get compensated, which is equal to the daily average salary mulitplied by the number of days they spent inside.

If they were in the military, they are instantly reinstated to their rank when they were convicted.

Unconditional release, compensation directly proportional to the time spent in prison (on average 20000 Pesetas--US$32000) and removal of records relating to the unjust conviction. Reinstatement is also performed in the case of military personnel unjustly convicted.

We have no prisons. Wrongdoers are rehabilitated in the community. You can't make somebody an acceptable member of society by isolating him from society.

The Fatatatutian justice system consists of two steps, Did he do it? and How can we rehabilitate him? He can't be rehabilitated if he doesn't admit to any wrongdoing, so it's unlikely that anybody in the rehabilitaion process would be "proven innicent". However, if anybody feels he has been unfairly treated by the justice system, he is free to sue.

They are released immediately. If they paid a fine, they are given back their money too, plus interest. If they are dead, well, too bad; this is why we try to avoid death penalty when we are not sure if they are guilty or not.

If a prisoner is found innocent, they are set free, the incident wiped from the person's record, and sent with reinbursement based on time spent in prison. Slaves found innocent are set free, given all property back plus massive interest, and proper status restored.

If you're a prisoner in a labor camp, then it means you've already been proven guilty, and that's dead set. If you haven't been proven of anything (aka there is no evidence), then investigators will go all out to make sure you have absolutely nothing linking you to whatever you've been accused of. If you're a prisoner then that means absolutely all cases of alibis, accuses, evidence, and etc have been proven guilty by Officials.

Take the case for Casey Anthony, while there is no proof she has killed her daughter with her own hands, she WILL (in our nation) be charged with neglect of her child because we do not believe in double jeopardy, we could give her as many sentences for various crimes related to what she has done because she deserves it. She says she was abused by her father, then we will start investigations to prove all of that and it will go on until proven true by even a tiny means, or false by as far as we can go. If her father has done such things to her, he too will be sent to a labor camp. And then after that, we can start connecting people they know and if they have any information involving the entire Casey Anthony case but refused to say even a little bit of help from the start, they too will be sent to the labor camps.

We love the taste of justice, putting people in their place is satisfying.

Our “Prison” system is more geared towards reform than punishment, so if someone was convicted but not actually guilty, one of our Psychiatrists will usually discover it first.

Even still, Most of those people don’t complain. We do try to reimburse them monetarily.
