+ OFFICIAL COMMUNIQUE +
To: Imperial Castillian Foreign ServiceFrom: ACA Central Administration, BerlinTo Whom it May Concern;
In recent months, the Anti-Communism Alliance has been a troubled organisation. With crisis after crisis appearing, then promptly sinking into the depths of memory, diplomatic and military activity has been at a high. Nations across the world watch the ACA and its oppositional bloc, and all significant powers of the world keep an ear well-turned to our affairs. We are a league of the premier right-wing states of the world, influential in virtually every region and sphere. But we are also made up of men. Fallible, imperfect, men.
The Imperial Theocracy of Castille de Italia has confirmed that an Akimonadi cruise ship was recently sunk in international waters by a Castillian warship. This was, reportedly, due to the captain refusing to hand over control of the vessel; the Castillian Navy apparently had reason to believe that this ship was a threat to their nation’s people.
Whether this is true or not, the slaughter of hundreds of innocent civilians is a travesty, and a blemish upon the reputation of the Imperial Theocracy and the Anti-Communism Alliance. It cannot be ― and will not be ― condoned. This appears to be an entirely unprovoked and aggressive action on the part of Castille de Italia, with its only purpose being the deaths of unaligned noncombatant civilians. It was murder.
After full review by the ACA War Cabinet and firm suggestions by influential ACA member states, the Imperial theocracy of Castille de Italia is hereby expelled from the Anti-Communism Alliance.Möge Gott Schützen,
German Foreign Minister
