The Milky Way, Karnak System, On board the Flagship

Image

A masked Horus guard enters the massive throne room of the vessel and bows before the throne, "My Lord."

The Figure seated on the throne casually gazes down on the Jaffa and askes, "What is it?" in the deep voice typical of the beings known as the Goa'uld.

"My Lord, both Lord Amun and Lord Atum are hailing us." he explained.

Nodding the figure turned his attention to a large screen over his throne, "Put them on screen."

Immediately, two figures appeared on the screen, dressed in elaborate silks and linens one would expect from the ancient Pharaohs. "We take it that you are both ready?"

The Two figures nodded and the one on the right said, "Our fleets are ready to strike at the traitor Ba'al and his heretical followers."

Nodding the Goa'uld turned to his brother on the right, "And you Amun? Are your fleets ready to strike at the world of Athena?"

"Of course." almost scoffed the God of Thebes, "These children will be unprepared."

Raising an elegant eyebrow, the mystery Goa'uld nodded to his fellow, "Very well then we will strike against this Fourth Dynasty."

"And what of the System Lords?" asked Atum, "They will surely convene when they wonder who attacks them with their own ships."

"If the System Lords meet then we will to meet them." answered the Goa'uld calmly as his attendants cared to his whims. "But we will make clear that is not we who seek their approval, but they who must return to us." he explained as he drank from his goblet.

Nodding the other two System Lords closed communications as two thirds of the fleet in orbit over Karnak left for Hyperspace. Turning to his First Prime, the Goa'uld issued his order. "Inform the fleet to destroy the facility on Erebus, I don't want any surprises from Ba'al."

The First Prime sent the order and then turned back to his Lord, "And what of us My Lord."

The Goa'uld continued to drink from his goblet. "We will remain here, we prefer not to act until absolutely necessary.

The First Prime nodded, "Of course my lord."

Turning to look out the Goa'uld looked as his fleet left to carry out the will of their God. A smirk gracing his lips his eyes glowed.

Across the Milky Way

Across the Galaxy and the domains of those loyal to the System Lord Ba'al, ships appeared out of hyperspace and without informing who they were and who they served opened fire. Worlds with some significance to Ba'al were bombarded a from space, the Stargates themselves opened allowing scores of Horus Guard and Jaffa and indeed Human warriors to engage forces on the ground. People throughout the domain of the Fourth Dynasty of the Goa'uld Empire were baffled at these raids and attacks and some humans wondered who exactly can hide themselves from their "gods". These invaders never stayed for long always leaving through the Chappa'ai and through Hyperspace when they have achieved some unknown goal.

Lord Tefnut swept slowly down the corridors of the golden hallway, her flowing blue gown trailing behind her. Beside her, Lord Xquic moved at a slightly more impatient pace. Tefnut smiled to herself.

"But we are already allies, are we not?" Tefnut asked resonantly. "We are System Lords in Ba'al's New Mind Order."

"Of course," Xquic answered, frowning. "But one wonders if that means anything."

"Oh?"

The Mayan goddess stopped and cast an eye back towards the two Jaffa guards following. "Several of my worlds were attacked. Slaves were killed and mines collapsed." She continued her walk.

"How interesting," Tefnut replied.

"An al'kesh escaped. They reported unmarked ha'taks. The ha'taks opened fire, sent men through the chaapa'ai, and then left."

"Thu'lo rebels, no doubt. Or rogue Unity. The Empire is so fractured these days. Did your men see the marks on the enemy?"

"Unfortunately, no. There were few Jaffa on the ground and those that were are dead. You are known to be expansionist, yourself, Lady Tefnut."

This time the Ancient Egyptian lady stopped and glared. "If you suspect me, how are we speaking now?"

"I don't suspect you. But surely you would know who is doing this."

Tefnut shrugged and resumed walking. "It can be easily discovered."

Erebus. It was once a mining and refining world heavily prized by Ba'al and rumored to be the location of countless atrocities. Now, it lay abandoned. The war with the Tau'ri had forced Ba'al away from most of the former Goa'uld worlds and Erebus was left behind for more virgin grounds.

From the chaapa'ai huge pieces of machinery left to decay were visible. Anything of any worth had been salvaged. Farther in were gaping tears in the ground where strip mining had occurred, vents of toxic gases rose from the cracked ground, and the atmosphere still roasted in the radiation of what had taken place here.

Massive mounds of earth covered huge mass burial pits. This world now truly belonged to the dead.

Still, Ba'al had had some decidedly Goa'uld ideals when he left. As soon as anyone set foot on the world sensors started a slow ticking away that would result in a massive naquadah explosion in the mine's remains.

Athena's post was on Earth, the Tau'ri homeworld. There she was ironically safe from the Tau'ri. As Charlotte Mayfield, only utter fools or the insanely genius would think her an alien.

Still, she had her world. Kalaruchan was her own planet, a hard-won piece of turf that she had carefully built up and protected from other roving Goa'uld. She moved everything she owned, apart from what was useful on Earth, to Kalaruchan. It even had its own starbase and fleet.

The planet was carefully modeled on Earth society, although (in her opinion) infinitely better. Several new skyscrapers rose from the central city, closely monitored by a bureaucracy of Goa'uld and Jaffa, while humans worked on heavy industry, agriculture, and mining in the outskirts and surrounding towns.

Athena believed her planet to be far more efficient than any other Goa'uld world. She left Earth every once in a while to make a "divine appearance" and inspect its progress. True, the Lucian Alliance and other scum had discovered her little jewel long before she herself ever heard of it, but so long as she left them alone they brought money and supplies to Kalaruchan. And so she left them alone. They weren't worth the trouble anyway.
The Goa'uld- Self-Appointed Rulers of all Creation
At noon Elijah began to tease them. "Shout louder!" he said. "I'm sure Baal is a god! Perhaps he has too much to think about. Or maybe he has gone to the toilet. Or perhaps he's away on a trip. Maybe he's sleeping. You might have to wake him up."

Strange, Tefnut is an Underlord for Atum in according to my factbook, are you giving me a spy in your realm already?

In the orbit above the Planet Erebus, Aboard Anhur's Ha'tak

The War God sat on his throne on the Ha'tak gifted to him from his lord and examined the dead world. He did not yet trust to send Jaffa to personally destroy what ever facilities were left on the planet. He had known Ba'al during his service under Ra and knew him to be something of a sore loser. He would not have abandoned this world without ensuring that no one else could ever use its Naquadah refinement facilities against him. Still the planet was still too dangerous to be left alone, his lord was sure that if Ba'al was driven he would return to this world to create new ships for his fleet.

"My lord." began Anhur's first Prime, "Shall I give the fleet the order to bombard the planet?"

Looking one last time at the planet on screen, the War God nodded, "Leave nothing for the fourth dynasty to use. Thebes has what we need in the least."

Nodding and relaying the orders to the rest of the fleet, Anhur watched as the fleet under his command began to bombard Erebus. Fire spread the desolate world as the fleet continued its attack. Suddenly fractures began to spread across the planet with each shot they fired.

Curious Anhur left his throne and examined the ship's sensor data. "What's happening?" he demanded.

"It seems Ba'al has somehow rigged the planet's Naquadah mines to explode." he answered.

"How many of the them?" the war god asked as the cracks started to grow larger and larger.

Fearfully his first Prime turned to his god, "All of them sire."

Screaming in rage with eyes glowing Anhur turned again to his First Prime, "Get the fleet out, our lord will not tolerate the destruction of his fleet. We still have to ensure that none of Anubis's abominations are taken from Tartarus."

Hurriedly and with some measure of panic, His first Prime fulfilled his Lord's orders and immediately the fleet began to make its way into hyperspace. Unfortunately, three ships were outright destroyed, and some damaged, but saved by their shields.

Some distance from Kalaruchan, aboard Amun's Flagship

The God of Kings looked upon the apparent "jewel" of Athena's Domain. He remembered a time one of Camulus's underlings, Qetesh, once abandoned him to work with the suppossed Goddess of Wisdom. 'Chasing after treasure no doubt, she always was a greedy one.' Amun mused as read through sensor data of the planet's apparent advanced state. 'As always these children disregard the traditions of their ancestors.' He thought examining the crystal spires that dotted the surface. He was brought out of his thoughts be his First Prime.

"My Lord!" he called from the vessels controls. "Several ships have just dropped out of Hyperspace"

"What?" Amun asked looking at the ship's display. "Ba'al?"

"No My Lord." answered his First Prime, "It appears to be a convoy of Al'kesh, most likely the Lucian Alliance."

"So they make bedfellows of rats and thieves, do they?" sneered Amun standing and walking closer to the Ship's display. "Show them the wrath of the gods." he commanded his eyes glowing.

"As you wish My Lord." intoned his First Prime as he relayed his God's commands to his fleet.

As the fleet fired on the Al'kesh an several Ha'tak made their way from the planet.

"So Athena makes her move then?" asked Amun, "Ignore the dogs we want Athena's fleet decimated before we take Kalaruchan."

"My lord the Ha'taks are hailing us." His First Prime reported, Amun merely waved his hand.

"Ignore them we wish them gone from my sight." he commanded eyes glowing. Nodding his First Prime relayed the order to the rest of the Fleet.

Above a Random Planet, The Flagship of Atum

The Fleet of the God of Creation dropped out of hyperspace in orbit over this planet. Gazing, upon the fleet under the command of Ba'al's lackeys the Lord of Annu smiled, turning to his first Prime, the System Lord began to give his orders. "Order the fleet to engage the enemy. I want them damaged or disable. Word must reach the rest of this Fourth Dynasty somehow."

Nodding his First Prime began to relay the orders to the Creator God's fleet. He paused when a notice came over his console. "My Lord the Enemy is hailing us."

Shaking his head, Atum just gazed again at the fleet before him. "Ignore it and begin to fire. It is not yet time to reveal ourselves." he demanded.

His First Prime nodded, "Of course my Lord." and returned to relaying orders to the fleet.

Thanks for reminding me about Sobek and have re-edited the Arrival of Athena's fleet.

Yikes, for the record, I shall quote this post:
System-Lord Baal wrote:For public record, I have in alphabetical order a list of all the Goa'uld that I have either used in RPs or mentioned I had (at least, I think this is a complete list, I lost my original text file and I'm trying to remember them):

Amaltah, Anansi, Anat, Anukis, Athena (possibly clone), Astarte, Ba'al (clone), Brighid, Charonos, Demerzel, Electra, Ganesh, Hesperillion, Inari, Janeesh, Kytern, Leto, Mafdet, Memnet-Re, Narcissus, Neith, Nekhbet, Nemesis, Nimrod, Okami, Phobos, Selkhet, Shatek, Sheshanaag, Tefnut, Tlak'zlcan, Utu, Vishnu, Wadjet, Xquic

^ Goa'uld with mythological or legendary counterparts are in bold.

Also, Athena's fleet was not just coming in, it was already there. Buildings are Earth-like skyscrapers, not crystal spires. Please, I've got everything and everybody in my Empire arranged in a very certain way, considering I've been RPing for a long time with them. Don't assume unless I specify.

My nation is actually heavily based on not only the SG-1 show, but on Stargate: Infinity, the RPG, Stargate Worlds, the comic books, other NS nations I've RP'd with, and the products of my own Goa'uldish imagination.

On side note, System Lord Atum was heavily played by another NSer in the past (although he CTE'd and I think it's safe now) and Sobek was mentioned in the series as being betrayed and beheaded by Bastet and Kali.

Athena's world was guarded by twelve ha'tak motherships, as well as the space station and a network of satellites. Since the Drone War of only a year ago Athena was quick to seize ships from Lord Janeesh when he died. One never knew, and this was all she had.

The convoy of Lucian Alliance freighters panicked when they found themselves attacked and they fled into hyperspace.

When the unknown fleet reached the planet Athena's ships waited quietly for the newcomers to identify themselves. When there was nothing, Athena's fleet raised shields and the station followed suit. It attempted to communicate with them and and inform them that they have arrived in Lord Athena's domain.

Instead, the unknowns powered weapons. The station gave an alert to the planet and begin to fire. Likewise, the ha'taks moved forward, firing their classic heavy cannons and launching al'kesh and gliders.

They also launched something else, something Ba'al had cooked up specially for Goa'uld-versus-Goa'uld engagements and had proven useful in many battles. Several missiles armed with naquadah warheads streaked towards Amun's fleet. They skittered in and out of hyperspace, making tracking and interception difficult, and when they got close to their targets they calculated shield distance and tried to jump inside to explode against the hulls.

The people of Kalaruchan dialed their chaapa'ai outwards, raised several citadel shields, got close to their personal craft, and prayed to their goddess and overlord that the millions on the planet would be safe.

They picked the perfect place to get the whole of the Fourth Dynasty angry.

This planet was Chakul Chatan, one of Queen Anat's worlds. She was Ba'al's queen, the ancient Canaanite goddess of war, violent death, and pleasurable sex, and the mother of many Goa'uld currently living in the Empire besides.

Anat had a farming community, trinium mine, and Jaffa training camp already set up. More importantly, she had four landed ha'taks and a fifth one awaiting its systems to be completed. When the enemy fleet dropped out of hyperspace they found several weapons satellites and three al'kesh as the entire defending force.

The al'kesh attacked the fleet as best they could but they were little match. One by one they died as they made their bombing runs. The small satellites attempted to fire and relay an alert to the landed ships below.

My Apologies, however on the point of Atum calling the skyscrapers, Crystal Spires, where would he have heard the term Skyscrapers?

In Orbit above Chakul Chatan, Atum's Flagship

"Is this all this Fourth Dynasty can muster?" asked Atum smirking at the Al'kesh futilely try to engage his vessels. The small craft were easily despatched by his fleet's weapons he focused on the satellites, "Make sure they can not send any warning to the surface."

His First Prime nodded as he carried out his lord's instructions when a alert appeared on the console. "My Lord, the Ha'tak vessels are preparing to take off from the surface."

Looking towards his First Prime as he gazed out the window. "Then I want those satellites destroyed before they are in a position to challenge us." he ordered as an Al'kesh exploded in a direct line of sight from his veiwpoint.

Once again nodding his First Prime relayed the order to those vessels. Atum watched as those vessels left his fleet and made their way towards the satellites as their shields resonated when impacted by the satellite's weapons.

In High Orbit above Kalaruchan, Amun's Flagship

"My Lord," reported Amun's First Prime, "The enemy have launched their gliders and Al'kesh."

"Send our own ships to engage them I-" the God of Kings was cut off when the entire vessel was rocked by an explosion. Angered Amun rose from his throne and approached the controls of his ship. "What was that?" he demaned.

Confused as his God, Amun's First Prime looked over the damage reports. "They've somehow managed to-" again he was cut off as another explosion rocked the vessel. "Strike against us behind the shields."

"How were they not detected?" the God of Kings demanded.

Going through the sensors his First Prime reported, "I'm not sure but I am detecting many small hyperspace windows around the sites of the impacts."

Considering the matter for a moment Amun issued new orders. "Seal off the damaged section and tell the fleet to focus the sensors on hyperspace windows have the weapons systems lock on immediately and fire."

Nodding and relaying the orders to the fleet, the First Prime then turned his God's attention to the station. "What of the station my lord?"

Sneering Amun once again occupied his throne, "Make it go away."

Nodding, his First Prime relayed the orders to the Weapons systems operators. "At once my lord."

Empty region of Space

Anhur's fleet exited hyperspace in an empty region of space with parts of the fleet damaged from the explosion on Erebus. Growling Anhur looked at his his First Prime, "I want a status report on all ships before we can go any further."

Nodding, his First Prime went through the damage reports and then reported to his lord, "My lord, several ships report damage to main weapons and shields."

Looking at the list himself Anhur asked, "Are any incapable of hyperdrive?"

"No my lord, they should be able to return to Karnak or Thebes for repairs." answered his First Prime.

Nodding, Anhur occupied his throne, have those ships that are not weapons capable to return to Thebes for repairs. Tell the rest of the fleet to repair what systems they can here before setting a course of Tartarus."

"At Once my lord." bowed his First Prime as he relayed the Warmaster's orders to the fleet.

'You will pay for this Ba'al' Mentally swore Anhur as he slouched on his throne, 'By the Sun you will pay.'

Hmm, true. I've got lots of Tau'ri ideas floating around my Empire.

By the way, about how many ships are in each fleet?

Images I made so you can get an idea of what I regularly use:

Actually, "Range" indicates the maximum deployment range for a full crew in a battle situation with standard supplies and soldiers onboard.

Also, "Xquic" is pronounced "sh-KEEK". Bleh, Mayan scrabble tile names. xD[/spoiler]

Chakul Chatun

The four ha'taks engaged shields and rose from the surface just as the last of the satellites were swept away. They began launching gliders to busy the enemy motherships while they rotated to minimize damage on any one section. These ha'taks were not giving up despite the terrible odds.

On board, Anat's chief fleet commander, Demerzel, entered the pel'tak of his ship and took his place on the throne. Overhead the massive pentagram emblem of Anat marked that he was not even a lord in her ranks.

"Relay this data to Lord Ba'al," he boomed in his symbiotic voice at the Jaffa at his command. "Take full sensor readings. If any of these ships flee, I want them recognized anywhere in the galaxy."

The Jaffa bowed and left. Demerzel sat back and pinched his lip. Who would even dream of attacking Anat?

Kalaruchan

The missiles were beginning to be intercepted; new orders were relayed to them and they broke course like small ships to veer in various directions and try to get close enough to get inside, close.

The station's shields flared orange as they were struck with the first impacts. It began launching its own support craft, gliders, al'kesh, and even hok al'kesh, which carried heavy ha'tak cannons. The number of small craft now flying around was enormous.

The ha'taks focused on destroying individual enemy ships before moving on to the next. Now that the enemy was concentrating on the station, they fired with impunity. Occasionally, if an enemy ha'tak ventured too close to the planet several heavy blasts thundered upwards to show that the planet could and would defend itself with or without ships.

Xquic's Palace

Having returned to her homeworld by chaapa'ai, Lord Xquic mused on her lot. Several worlds were severely damaged. It wouldn't be long before the ravenous wolves would sense her weakness and fall upon her possessions. Once, under Ra, the Empire had order. Now it was merely anarchy while hiding from the Tau'ri, Tok'ra, Free Jaffa, and pirate scum who seem to be running the galaxy now. It was degrading.

"Shanqt," she said abruptly. A male lo'taur scurried up the steps to kneel on the step just below his master's foot level. Xquic smiled down at him. "Rise."

He lifted his head. Surely, "rise" could not mean to stand before her presence.

Xquic apparently thought along the same lines, because she continued speaking. "I have made alliance with the goddess Tefnut. I now desire an alliance with Sheshanaag. Speak to him on my behalf."

She knew she was crossing a line now. Lord Sheshanaag was of the Nemesis Order, a group of Goa'uld that had been banished by Ra thousands of years ago for various horrible crimes infamous rebellions- and recently freed by Ba'al. However, unlike what Ba'al had originally desired they formed a tightly-knit coalition with some of the most advanced technology the Goa'uld ever laid hands on. Even Queen Anat had been a part of this group, although she was now exempt from the crime of association by becoming Ba'al's queen.

If Xquic was to make alliance with Sheshanaag, then she would certainly be marked as a possible enemy of Ba'al. She would have spies crawling all over her in days if she didn't receive immediate assistance. The lo'taur raised his eyebrows with surprise, mumbled a quick "yes my lady", and ran off.

I was thinking along the lines of 8-10 Ha'tak plus the Flagships, but as Ra is suppossed to have the Lion's share his fleet would probably be 14 Ha'tak. Well 11 now since I lost three ships over Erebus, You really are a sore loser, just like Ba'al!

In Orbit over Tartarus, Anhur's Ha'tak

A fleet of seven Ha'tak dopped out of Hyperspace over the planet Tartarus and immediately took position over the planet's surface. From his throne the Warmaster looked at his First Prime from his throne and asked, "Have you located the Kull Warrior facility yet?"

Going through the sensors his First Prime brought up a display of the planet's surface and zoomed in on a locations in the planet's northern hemisphere. "I have my lord, the fleet is ready to destroy the facility on your command sire."

Nodding Anhur and waved his hand, "Then wipe this abomination away, it is an offense to our lord."

"At once Warmaster." bowed his First Prime as he relayed his orders to the fleet. Upon receiving the order to bombard the planet, the Ha'tak took their positions and reigned their weapon's fire on the facility.

In Orbit above Chakul Chatan, Atum's Flagship

The Lord of Creation watch with glee as the last satellites were destroyed by his fleet's weapons and turned his attentions to the Ha'taks now making their way from the planet's surface. "Launch our gliders and Al'kesh to deal with the smaller ships, I want all our strength to be bear against those Ha'tak!" he ordered as he continued to observe the battle outside his ship.

Nodding his First Prime went about relaying his god's orders about the fleet. The screen of gliders and engaged the remain Al'kesh as the Ha'tak focused their weapons fire on the enemy Ha'tak vessels.

In High Orbit above Kalaruchan, Amun's Flagship

'She is persistent, I'll give her that.' Conceded the God of Kings as his fleet continued to strike at the station and the fleet guarding it. The shields of his vessels flaring as each of the enemy's shots impacted against them.

The Dogfight outside was comparable to mass chaos, as each glider and Al'kesh bombarded eachother.

Turing to his First Prime Amun commanded, "I want a status report on that station."

Going through the Flagship's sensors his First Prime Nodded, "Shields are holding, though with consant bombardment they will fail soon."

Satisfied Amun nodded, "Focus our weapons fire on the Station, but inform the rest of the fleet to keep Athena's Ha'tak occupied."

"At Once my Lord." nodded his First Prime relayed his lords order to the fleet.

Well now, it would be incompetent and disappointing if I ran around claiming to be Ba'al and didn't act like him in least, wouldn't it? ;)

Still. Everything in the series in regards to his personality applies here. If you want to lose a lot of folks, accept gifts from him and visit all the planets he's abandoned.

Tartarus

Likewise, a planet seized by Ba'al and sacked the moment Anubis was deemed dead. The Kull warrior research had first been stolen, but before Ba'al could either resume operations or fix it so nobody else could the world had been captured by the Free Jaffa.

Thinking it wise to fade away slowly as the rabble of the Milky Way and then the Ori made their rounds, Ba'al had used his clones to take a list of Ancient addresses from the Tau'ri and make his escape. Shoveling through the rubble of his old stomping grounds would do little good now.

If anything, he would be pleased to know a community of Free Jaffa were attacked without warning and given no quarter.

Chakul Chatan

Anat's fleet was being heavily battered. They launched hyperspacial missiles of their own and began to retreat slowly while frantically demanding assistance from Ba'al's or Anat's other forces stationed around other worlds. These ha'taks had been landed for repairs and they could not last for long.

Indeed, one's shield shorted suddenly and it was disastrously flakked with the massive cannon fire. It began to slowly break up as internal explosions forced its hull apart.

Kalaruchan

The flagship was difficult to hold back. In numbers, the satellites, station, twelve ha'taks, and planetary cannons should have repulsed the ha'taks alone easily. But the flagship had been unaccounted for.

Each of the Ba'al-class deathgliders carried two missiles and were more comparable to a Tau'ri F-302 in several engine and armament aspects. They fired missiles to detonate in the mass of enemy gliders and cause more carnage with the resulting debris. The al'kesh were about equal, however, to their standard counterparts. Many were destroyed as they were targeted and overwhelmed. The larger hok al'kesh were the combined strengths of the maneuverable and heavily armed al'kesh with the size and shield power of a small mothership.

The station was heavily damaged. They were focusing more on saving their shields than firing on their enemy. But slowly and surely the shields were taxed and would come down very shortly.

In the series however, it is unclear what the Free Jaffa did with the planet. And it looks pretty inhospitable to begin with.

In High Orbit above Kalaruchan, Amun's Flagship

With his flagship bombarding the Station into submission, it left Amun to coordinate the rest of his fleet against Athena's Ha'tak.

"I think we have made our point here, but I want that station destroyed before we depart for Thebes." Commanded the Lord of Thebes as several Gliders exploded outside his window. When his first Prime, Mak'em, relayed his orders the Flagship's weapons increased the intensity of fire hoping to fry the stations shields and destroy the station itself.

"Sire," reported Mak'em, looking at the sensor data, "We have incoming gilders."

"Then have our gliders intercept them." commanded Amun with the condescension typical of a Goa'uld.

Gliders launched from the Flagships bay and quickly engaged the incoming gliders. Slowly the fleet of Ha'tak entered Hyperspace with out so much as a word.

In Orbit above Chakul Chatan, Atum's Flagship

"My lord the enemy forces are at breaking point." reported The Lord of Creation's First Prim, Ti'rac from the Flagship's controls, "Shall we break them?"

Atum shook his head, "No we have made their point tell the fleet to set a course for the next destination. Word will reach Ba'al soon enough."

Nodding Ti'rac informed the fleet of the new coordinates. Slowly each of the Ha'tak vessels recalled their gliders and ceased firing, before making the jump into hyperspace. One of the last ships to leave was Atum's who covered the rest of his fleet before making the last jump into hyperspace leaving a battered and humiliated fleet in its wake.

In Orbit over Tartarus, Anhur's Ha'tak

"Is the facility destroyed?" asked the Warmaster from his throne.

His first prime ran one last sensor scan of the the planet before reporting, "My lord the Kull Warrior Facility is destroyed, Ba'al will find nothing of use here."

Nodding his head Anhur stood up, "Then the fleet will return to Karnak, we have repairs to make."

"Of course my Lord." nodded his First Prime relaying the orders to the rest of the fleet.

Yeah. But Ba'al will assume that the Free Jaffa still have it, and if they don't it's of no use to him anyway.

Kalaruchan

The station's shield failed and the massive blasts began gouging black scars into its golden surface. Emplacements were blown off and decks gutted. The station was similar in size and layout to what the Hassara station once was, and it was taking time to shred it to pieces. The entire lower section broke away and began to fall from orbit to impact the planet.

As the ha'taks left Athena's fleet began to engage the flagship. One of her ha'taks had ceased firing; most of its weapons and generators were blown. Another had depleted shields and was venting atmosphere.

"Commander," the Jaffa pilot in the lead ha'tak said, addressing the Goa'uld sitting in the throne behind him. "The enemy fleet retreats. They are leaving many of their gliders behind."

"Finish them," the Goa'uld said with a smirk. He felt that they were winning a battle despite the odds.

Chakul Chatan

The fleet suffered badly. They were left behind to lick their wounds and Demerzel knew he would have to face Queen Anat personally and explain this. The destroyed ha'tak was a severe loss to Anat. It did not have full crew, but many good technicians and pilots died in it. And ships were so hard to come by nowadays.

Indeed, word reached Anat very rapidly.

Hotoplcn

Anat opened her eyes. The Jaffa felt a cold shiver and he averted his eyes. The Blood Queen was bathing in a three-foot pool of running water. It was absolutely clear water- and she was a rather beautiful woman.

"What has the commander to say of this?" she asked in a low voice.

"Demerzel is coming immediately by chaapa'ai to inform you. All I know is that a large enemy force attacked your ships while landed and we suffered heavy losses."

The Blood Queen closed her eyes again. The Jaffa waited a while before she spoke. "Tell Ba'al to come down from orbit. I desire his presence greatly."

"Yes, my lady." He hesitated for only a moment, wondering if he should word the request that way.

Deep Space, Secure Location

The image on the viewscreen was an unpleasant visage. Sheshanaag did not have a human host; those of the Nemesis order seldom did. He moved an elongated xenomorphic head back and forth slowly. Grey blobs that might be eyes pulsated close to the very front of the skull.

"We are surprised you care for our company, Goa'uld," he said. Xquic had difficulty making out the words.

"War. If the Empire falls apart nobody is safe. The individual lords have very little power. We need to unify."

He shrugged, which with his host looked like a gulping lurch. "Those of Nemesis do not care. We are strong. Ra abandoned us. We abandoned Ra. The order does not matter anymore. We do not know of Ba'al. It is not a name of power to us. Why should we serve him? The Empire abandoned us, so we abandon the Empire."

"It will not help if you are destroyed."

"We of Nemesis are strong. Our punishments taught us this. We are not dead."

Xquic flashed her eyes and turned away. Their arrogance was impossible...

The Nemesis Goa'uld use Xenomorph's as hosts? That's worse than the Unas!

Sorry for not posting soon, been busy all weekend

In High Orbit above Kalaruchan, Amun's Flagship

With his Flagship covering the escape of his Fleet, Amun began to issue commands to Mak'em, "Recall our gliders and deploy the Aten."

The Aten was a form of Naquadah bomb, which behaves in the same manner as a Tok'Kal. Its purpose was to create a blast intense enough to fry out a target's sensors. In addition the blast itself, to put it in the words of the scientist that develop it, can turn night into day.

Nodding Mak'em issued the recall order to any of the remaining glider. Though one last glider, remotely controlled as Amun hated to waste good Jaffa, was sent from the flagship with a collision course with the enemy fleet with the Aten device on board. It would detonate once with in weapons range. Making sure that their own gliders were safe, the God of Kings's flagship entered hyperspace.

Karnak, The Temple of Karnak

Anhur nervously walked the halls of the Temple of Karnak, having lost three Ha'tak waz not the best news to give to his master. Oddly enough for one of the Goa'uld underlords, he does not plot to usurp his master. Throughout his life Anhur has loyally served his master without question. Indeed, his greatest failure was not being at his master's side and believing him dead over Abydos. If it were not for his master's miraculous survival and sanctuary on Karnak, Anhur would have resigned himself to despair.

Entering his master's throne room, the warmaster bowed before his sovereign, "My Lord, I have done as you commanded."

"Very good Anhur, though we have heard you have lost three vessels in the process?" the god asked from his throne.

Wincing, Anhur bowed even lower, "A thousand apologies, my lord, I should have known better-" however we was cut off by the Goa'uld.

"It is no matter, Ba'al has always proved himself a most frustrating foe." gesturing to one of his lo'taur, who came forward and presented Anhur with a Stargate Address. "For now I wish for you to focus your efforts on finding Xquic."

"My lord?" Anhur asked gazing at the tablet in askance.

"Xquic, may know something of Ba'al's movements." explained the System Lord, "Capture him and bring him hear, my Jaffa will accompany you."

"As you wish my lord." Anhur bowed, and when the System Lord gave his cue, Anhur left to depart on his hunt for Xquic.

Your right I meant the Tok'al, and the hunt for Xquic is now more for Intel.

Yeah, I had a run-in with a sentient xenomorph nation once called the "Lemonians". Managed to get some hosts out of the deal. The Nemesis group reigns through absolute terror, so it was fitting. Nemesis herself also uses one.

On a side note, "Xquic" has always mythologically been female, and she still is. I've switched the genders of a few Goa'uld in my empire, but Xquic has remained perfectly female. She refers to herself as a "god", as many non-queen asexual Goa'uld do, however.

I thought tacs are heat-seeking mines that shoot lasers? Your aten's function seems more like a Goa'uld shock grenade... Anyway, you must realize that there are lots of angry Goa'uld ships left. That glider will have trouble escaping their wrath in time. So- as not to ruin any plot developments I had a missile hit it and maybe it will still explode, but not as effectively?

Also, have you spies or something? My nation is practically a randomly assorted chocolate box of Goa'uld minions recently promoted. It cannot be assumed that anything that existed in the old Empire still exists now.

Kalaruchan

The last glider was eagerly fired upon from all sides as the last thing existing of the escaped enemy. All the surviving ha'taks, al'kesh, hok al'kesh, and gliders gleefully blasted it at once. Unfortunately, the very first piece of weapons fire to strike the small ship was a lone hyperspacial missile that decided the glider was as good a target as any. It smashed into the fighter much as a collision with any other object would have been.

Hotoplcn

Ba'al eventually came down from orbit. He hated being pulled around by his own puppet queen, but they had played the waiting game before. If he wanted to know what she knew, he had better come immediately before he ended up looking like a stubborn idiot.

He found her in her lavish quarters, dressed in a rather semi-transparent gown.

"Oh, that's such a disagreeable expression," she greeted him crisply. "Don't try looking stern. It looks like indigestion."

Lord Ba'al frowned and seated himself on her vanity table, whisking his long cloak aside to sit down. After a few seconds of staring at her, he smiled. "My queen. You have something you want to tell me. Don't let me stop you."

"Matter of fact," she countered, throwing herself onto the bed and resting her chin on her palm. Ba'al shifted his gaze to the her cleavage. "I wanted to discuss your incompetence and blatant inability to control your own court fools." He snapped his eyes to lock with hers.

"What do you mean by that?" he said angrily, developing a symbiotic flange in his voice.

"My fleets were attacked. My planet," she barked back. "If I am your queen, and the mother of countless Goa'uld within the Empire, how do you explain such insolence? You can't keep your own minions in line, can you?"

"Remember, I was the only System Lord who survived the fall of the Empire. I was the one that plucked them out of their miserable little holes where they lay in fear of some trigger-happy Tau'ri. Lady Anat, maybe you would prefer it back in your cozy coffin to think it over?"

She flashed her eyes. "I suggest you find out who has a dozen or so ha'taks in their possession, and who would dare use them against the Queen of the Empire. You don't possibly think they would stop at her do you? It's only a few more steps to get to the Supreme System Lord."

Ba'al glared, then got up and left abruptly. She was right. Something had to be done. Someone was going to pay. He went back to the nearest platform to ring back up to the Sovereign's Flagship.

Meanwhile, Anat smiled to herself and thought of sweet retribution- free of course.

Xquic's Palace

Xquic eventually returned to her homeworld. She had left twice in one day. That will make people think. Still, the Great Drone War had made her very powerful. Added to that was the most untimely deaths of Lord Janeesh and Lord Inari. She now commanded thirty-four ha'taks personally. She was the most powerful System Lord under Ba'al and Anat, excepting the unknown quantity that the Order of Nemesis presented. Surely alliances with replicating-capable civilizations had its ups. They had offered ships so easily.

She remained completely unaware that she was already being hunted. Eventually, yes, but so soon... and by someone she could not imagine...

Well, I stole the plans for Sokar's, later Apophis's, Mothership somehow. Ra did not become Supreme System Lord in the first place by being complacent, or by waiting for every other System Lord to drop dead like flies.

Xquic's Homeworld

As typical for any world with a Stargate, it was out in the open rather than within a settlement or structure. A simple Tok'Kal was thrown through to neutralize any enemy near the gate. Following through was a small squad of Horus Guard followed by Anhur. Looking around to make sure that no patrols were close by, the Warmaster stepped forward and gazed for a sign of civilization or habitation. Gazing west Anhur and noticed rising smoke, gesturing at the Jaffa to follow him, the Warmaster began his march to the smoke. Taking one look at the stunned Jaffa, Anhur grabbed a Ma'tok staff from one of the Jaffa and quickly finished them off in a quick succession of shots. If they saw the address of Karnak, they would not need it spreading.

This section is subject to editing, seeing as it is one of your planets.

Ihpet

Ihpet was, after Karnak, one of the more important worlds in the Third Dynasty's possession. This mostly jungle world served as a research outpost for the use of the Council of Karnak. In the local temple was the underlord Nephthys, she walked into one of the chambers where a Goa'uld computer was located. At the console was a goa'uld scientist, named Sia in service for her lord.

"Sia," began Nepthys surprising the Goa'uld from her research, "Have you found what our lord is looking for?"

Bowing her head ever so slightly, as she was in her lord's service not Nephthys, "Not yet, Apep hid even this particular treasure well, even from Anubis."

"I should think so," said Nephthys examining the data on the screen, "How much longer?"

Turning back to her research station Sia went back to scrolling through the data, "A while, Apep may have been insane in his last years, but his ciphers were notoriously complex, even more so because of his insanity."

As she began to leave to return to Karnak Nephthys made one last comment, "Then hurry, our lord is impatient for results." as she left the chamber leaving Sia to her work.

Temple of Karnak, Karnak

Rac'ti, First Prime to his lord, was in his lord's throne room showing him the progress of their fleets. A Lo'taur came into the room and whispered in to the Jaffa's ear, turning to his lord he made his report.

"Both Lord Amun and Atum have returned from their excursions. They report success or satisfactory action."

Not taking his eyes from the star map the System Lord commented, "Good, have their fleets be repaired and wait until I send them."

"My lord?" Rac'ti asked bewildered by his lord's reaction, if they were making progress why not press the advantage?

As a god and knowing what question was posed in the mind of his First Prime, "Our resources though vast are still limited, and the fourth dynasty's influence among my brothers is still strong." he answered lazily placing his hand on his cheek as it rested on his throne. "We will need to know what exactly Ba'al was thinking releasing Nemesis and Anat." He explained using his other hand to drink from a goblet. "We had our reasons for imprisoning them in the first place."

Xquic's Homeworld

The chaapa'ai was a distance from the main settled area of the planet. It stood atop a great plateau of little area and great height. Connecting it to the mainland cliffs was a swaying bridge of great length, but securely fashioned of trinium-carbon fibers and clean metal. Far below was the sound of many waterfalls obscured in jungle mist. Far ahead an impressive ziggurat towered high into the sky. The gate's placement was more for grandeur and awe than anything else.

Smoke rose from the many homes beyond the great ziggurat. The world was densely populated many millions of slaves and devout worshippers of the Mayan god.

When the gate first activated, the four Jaffa guarding it snapped to attention immediately, pointing ma'toks at it with an exclaimed "Jaffa! Kree'nok chaapa'ai!"

The small object thrown through was recognized for what it was, but to no avail. All four collapsed where they stood and were killed with one of their own weapons.

Tlak'zlcan made an ironic bow before Xquic. The ashrak wore Kull armour but for her head, which was covered with a smooth black helmet that tapered backwards into a point and left her lower face bare. The only skin visible was the bronze of her jaw and the full, beautifully shaped scarlet of her lips. Very few have seen more of her.

Right now, Tlak'zlcan's mouth was twisted in a smirk. "My lady. It pains me to imagine that you can think so terribly ill of me. Why would I possibly betray Ba'al, king god-emperor of us all?"

"There is much in it for you, if you listened to my whole plan," Xquic answered impatiently. "I need you to go to Acheron. I know you have been there before."

Hotoplcn

Ba'al's flagship, the Sovereign's Flagship, was suddenly met by the hyperspace flashes of a dozen more ha'taks. This was his own personal task force, and they waited for news of another strike. Any strike. They believed they had the hyperspace capabilities to get there in time to hurt the enemy.

Deep Space, Secure Location

Nemesis' own flagship was of her own personal design, unlike Ba'al most unoriginal Anubis battlecruiser. Her ship's sleek black hull curved in an almost organic shape, and yet retained the same radial structure and slight pyramidal shape that made it Goa'uld. The technology that the Order of Nemesis used had been primarily designed by Phobos, who had had a long time to design technology during his lonely exile on a sparsely populated world. Without any sarcophagi, sapient hosts or slaves, or any Goa'uld technology at all, Phobos had made do with only a small number of minor scientists and Jaffa.

But he had done quite well. Other advancements, naturally, had come from Ba'al's and Anubis' work. But Phobos had much to be praised for. Nemesis felt that her own order was the most advanced and thereby most dangerous of all Goa'uld forces, however small in number.

Deep within the belly of the ship, a series a blackened clawed shapes pulled upward like a giant spider. In an intricate folding maneuver reminiscent of a Jaffa helmet the rest of the case collapsed in on itself and was completely gone as surely as it had been there.

The formerly banished Lord who had caused so much trouble so many eons ago with her plots and guiles stepped forth from the decidedly unique sarcophagus. Moving an elongated, seemingly blind head back and forth, she clicked her jaws with a bone-to-bone snap and made her way for the pel'tak.

Things were about to begin.

Sorry, I've been busy

Xquic's Homeworld

Anhur slowly made his way across the bridge towards Xquic's temple ordering to keep the Horus Guard under his command to keep their masks up, a horus jaffa isn't odd in of itself. The lack of mark on their forehead would raise unwanted questions. Once on the other side Anhur lingered making sure that there was a lack of hidden patrol again before motioning for the jaffa to take up a position around him in case of unwanted surprises and continued to make their way to the temple.

In orbit over Karnak, the Flagship

Emerging from his sleep in his sarcophagus, the Goa'uld made his way to the elaborate pel'tak/Throne Room of his flagship. His lo'taur and attendants bowing as he made his ways through the corridors. Arriving in the throne room, he took his seat he summoned his Rac'ti to his presence.

When the Horus guard entered the throne room he immediately bowed, "My Lord, what do you wish of me?"

Adopting a typical look of contempt the goa'uld gesture to the flagship's controls, "Summon the fleets, we have vengeance we wish to reap."

"Who requires your judgement my lord?" Rac'ti asked taking up the ship's controls and executing his lord's commands.

His eyes glowing he merely growled, "Anatmy daughter needs to be scolded."

"What of Lord Amun and Lord Atum?" Rac'ti asked as the fleet of the System Lord gathered above Karnak.

"Tell them to meet us, as queen," the word was spat out like a poison, "of this fourth dynasty, she will no doubt have some form of protection." the system lord commanded. Nodding Rac'ti silently relayed the orders, once done the fleet above Karnak entered Hyperspace.

Leaving his throne the System Lord lazily examined their course on the starmap, "Once we drop out of hyperspace send out the Aten we wish their sensors disabled." With a flair, one that you had to concede to the Goa'uld, the System Lord left the Throne Room with attendants and Lo'taur in tow.

Okay, just so long as it doesn't die.

Xquic's Homeworld

Tlak'zlcan was walking out from the palace towards the temple, and the chaapa'ai. She strode with long, lithe strides, eager to complete her mission. Her reputation was that of an ashrak absorbed in blood lust, and they weren't far wrong. Still, Tlak'zlcan had other lusts as well, and she slowed her pace to watch a couple of muscular Quetzalcoatl guards pass by, with serpentine helmets and metallic feathers.

Passing them, she continued on towards the bridge. She noticed the approaching Horus guards in the distance, but as they too were not unusual she did not think much of it.

Hotoplcn

Ba'al's strike force expected battle, but here was the least expected place. Hotoplcn was probably the most defended planet in the entire Empire.

Besides the Sovereign's own Flagship, there was a starbase, a network of weapons, sensory, and shield satellites. Orbit was busy with personal tel'tak cargoships, al'kesh, and tral'tak carriercraft. Along with Ba'al's strike force of twelve ha'taks and his own vessel, there were four more ha'taks in orbit.

When the starfield was suddenly filled with hyperspace windows it took several minutes for the danger to register. Orange beams from stations on the surface shot up and struck the shield satellites, and they spread a shimmering blanket over the most populous area of the planet below. Naturally, the entire planet could not be protected, but the Fourth Dynasty felt that their massive fleet could do the hard part of defending. Ba'al had always been known for his fleet and the death of the rest of the System Lords as far as he was concerned only augmented his power.

As soon as everyone had been warned and shields were up, Ba'al's fleet disconnected their ring transporters to prevent unnecessary surprises and hailed the unknown fleet. Ba'al appeared on screen himself, understandably angry.

"Who dares defy Supreme System Lord Ba'al?" he demanded in a deep flange. No Goa'uld had right to oppose his leadership. He was the last of the System Lords.

Short I know but it will suffice.

Hotoplcn

Rac'ti ignored the hailing from Ba'al's fleet and ordered the flagships and Ha'tak to open fire on the fleet before of them. Shots from his lord's fleet fired to strike at small craft while the Ha'taks under the command of Atum focused on attacking the satellites. He did not feel it necessary yet to launch their small craft. The enemy should still be some what disoriented from the blast of the Aten.

Xquic's Homeworld

Anhur calmly walked through the forest towards Xquic's temple hoping to catch the Mayan Goddess by surprise. When he did come across a patrol of Xquic's Quetzalcoatl guards who asked what their purpose was, he told the truth Eyes glowing in daring who question a god, "The Supreme System Lord wishes a message be delivered to Lord Xquic."

Hotoplcn

"No response, my lord!" the Jaffa commander barked. "They are opening fire!"

A pulse of blinding light erupted and washed over the fleet. Ba'al wrinkled his brow and snapped a look at his commander. "What was that?"

The Jaffa deftly worked the controls. Outside, the ha'taks were being fired upon but they were not yet returning fire. Their shields flared opaque orange with each hit. "My lord, they overloaded fleet sensors."

"What of ours?"

"Asgard shields seemed to ward off most of the effects. Returning fire, my lord."

The Sovereign's flagship opened fire. Its batteries spat out massive orange orbital blasts while smaller Asgard beam emplacements tracked across the shields of the other vessels. Slowly, one by one, the other ha'taks began moving as well and opening fire.

The weapons satellites were down. Atum's fleet found that destroying each emplacement was simple. The shield satellites, however, were more difficult to reach. The shields they generated protected them from above, and to fly smaller vessels underneath the shields would trap them in atmosphere against the fields to be picked off by surface guns and defending small craft.

The ha'taks began launching their al'kesh and deathgliders to intercept Atum's fleet, and the tral'tak carriers in orbit began opening their long hulls and dumping many more gliders into the fray. Ba'al had taken the cue from the Tau'ri and rigged each glider with two naquadah-enhanced nuclear warheads. Ba'al's fighters were far more heavily armed than the standard deathglider.

Xquic's Homeworld

At such a response the two Quetzalcoatl guards snapped their staff weapons forward and opened them. Fwizzzzt they crackled. Tlak'zlcan saw the altercation and stepped over to them.

"Lord Ba'al has not been invited here," she said in an unsually husky and deep Goa'uld voice. Only her lips showed underneath her mask, and they were frowning. "There are proper channels to be used. Lord Xquic would not care to be disturbed by him otherwise."
