[PASSED] Liberate The United Kingdom of Britain

Postby Fischistan » Wed May 16, 2012 11:44 am

Got invaded by Nazis; soon to be refounded. I'm submitting this soon, maybe today or tomorrow, so get you comments in soon.
The Security Council,

COGNIZANT that the region The United Kingdom of Britain was recently invaded by the notorious forces of the The Greater German Reich (GGR),

APPALLED that the forces of the GGR pretended to be natives of said region while building up a stockpile of influence that they would later use to their advantage in order to rapidly password protect the region,

NOTING that on the twenty-ninth of March, 2012, [nation=short+noflag]Grand Britain and Northern Ireland[/nation], a secret member-nation of the GGR, seized the delegacy of The United Kingdom of Great Britain away from the native delegate, [nation=short+noflag]Helertia[/nation],

UNDERSTANDING that The United Kingdom of Britain once had at least 34 native nations residing in it,

ACKNOWLEDGING the fact that the natives of The United Kingdom of Britain have been barred from their home region by an invisible password, and that now only 4 of the region's former non-GGR natives reside in it,

REALISING that unless action is taken to remove the password of The United Kingdom of Great Britain, the region is destined to die a long, slow death, eventually becoming a colony of the imperialist GGR,

HOPING that by Liberating The United Kingdom of Britain, many of its natives may come back to their rightful home, and the region may prosper and once again reach its original glory,

HEREBY Liberates The United Kingdom of Britain.

Co-authored by [nation=short]Mahaj[/nation] and [nation=short]Nahgallay[/nation].

Interesting.

Fischistan wrote:COGNIZANT that the region The United Kingdom of Britain was recently invaded by the notorious forces of the The Greater German Reich (GGR),

True. We invaded it, yes.

Fischistan wrote: APPALLED that the forces of the GGR pretended to be natives of said region while building up a stockpile of influence that they would later use to their advantage in order to rapidly password protect the region,

And We did a good job at it.

UNDERSTANDING that The United Kingdom of Britain once had at least 34 native nations residing in it,

At one time. However, when We came along, it was not even NEAR that number. It was more like 7 or so.

ACKNOWLEDGING the fact that the natives of The United Kingdom of Britain have been barred from their home region by an invisible password, and that now only 6 of the region's former non-GGR natives reside in it,

6? I only count 4 that do not belong to Us.

REALISING that unless action is taken to remove the password of The United Kingdom of Great Britain, the region is destined to die a long, slow death, eventually becoming a colony of the imperialist GGR,

The region WAS ALREADY dying a long, slow death BEFORE We invaded. And if We hadn't it STILL would be dying!

HOPING that by Liberating The United Kingdom of Britain, many of its natives may come back to their rightful home, and the region may prosper and once again reach its original glory,

Nations will only come because it would have a fancy Liberation badge on it.

HEREBY Liberates The United Kingdom of Britain.

There is also another thread on this: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=179872

Also, the region was previously dead, as the founder ceased to exist. He then made a new nation, and founded a region with a similar name and structure, which is called United Kingdom of Britain. The liberation would be "liberating" an abandoned region.

And by the way, AGAINST.

Odd, when We came along, Helertia was not the delegate.

48 days ago: The Empire of Grand Britain and Northern Ireland elected WA Delegate (ending The Commonwealth of Helertia's reign).
Right from their history page.

It still should be liberated. Maybe if more of its former residents knew about what was happening, they would come back.

That makes for a stronger argument for my proposal. Thank you very much.

So? It still deserves not to be griefed.

It still should be liberated. Maybe if more of its former residents knew about what was happening, they would come back.

Might as well write a liberation proposal for all of the regions that are captured by raiders, ja?

Perhaps they would come back, but they would not do anything to make the region successful, as seen before We invaded.

That makes for a stronger argument for my proposal. Thank you very much.

Still a large number, knowing how many natives were originally there.

So? It still deserves not to be griefed.

It still doesn't deserve a liberation. It was a small region with little activity.

...and because they can be unbanned from it.

Doubt they would come back. Or if they did, I doubt they would make attempts to make the region a successful region. They didn't seem to care about the region while they were there.

Yes.

Zhe very premise of zhis proposal ist flawed.

Ve have destroyed all natives who dared oppose Us und who might have vished to be „liberated“ from Our rightful rule. Zhe remaining natives prefer Our strict order to zhe chaos, vhich vas previously reigning in zhe region.

Now that we know you can type the letter 't', why not use it?

The fact that only GGR has opposed this gives more clout to the proposal.

Nein, do not approve this proposal. We essentially raided an abandoned region with little value, as the original founder of the region made another region of similar style to this one. The region is United Kingdom of Britain.

In the end, if this proposal passes, it will mean more publicity for Us.

Bad* publicity. And the fact that you don't care about the difference is why nobody likes you at all.

I'm certianly not compelled to support this. The region was a monarchist reactionary region, little better than the current leadership in the region. And since it was dying anyway, I really don't see anything worth saving. I will add that this proposal only satisfy's the raiders collective ego's, I quote....

In the end, if this proposal passes, it will mean more publicity for Us.

And here we're at the heart of every C&C/lib resolution. Please do not liberate TUKB. They deserve their bashing from here to eternity.
"Send forth all legions! Do not stop the attack until the city is taken! Slay them all!"
>Can I invade other people's regions?

Yes. The practice of "region crashing," where a group of nations all move to a region with the aim of seizing the WA Delegate position, is part of the game. Certain groups within NationStates are particularly adroit at this, and can attack very quickly.
>Once I've taken over a region, can I eject everyone else?

You can try. Invader Delegates tend to have very little Regional Influence, which makes ejecting long-time residents difficult. But Delegates can be as kind, generous, evil, or despotic as they wish. It's up to regional residents to elect good Delegates.

When our forces arrived, there was no delegate in the region, there was no government, the last post on the RMB was 37 days ago and the links of the WFE were outdated.

UNDERSTANDING that The United Kingdom of Britain once had at least 34 native nations residing in it,

Really? your inability to make a resolution is worthy of study. The region had 7 natives (2 inactive WAs and the rest, puppets) and 3 soldiers of the GGR, 1 native ceased to exist after the password was imposed.

ACKNOWLEDGING the fact that the natives of The United Kingdom of Britain have been barred from their home region by an invisible password, and that now only 4 of the region's former non-GGR natives reside in it,

"•Natives - a controversial term, natives are generally considered to be "nations which takes up residence in a region without the intention of furthering the goals and aims of a foreign force". Usually you'll be liberating a region to return control of it to them. Therefore, you'll want their support, and you'll want to mention some of the natives who have declared their support."

I repeat: The "natives" have never stablished a government, they had no control over the region.

HOPING that by Liberating The United Kingdom of Britain, many of its natives may come back to their rightful home, and the region may prosper and once again reach its original glory,

Original glory? they will come back?
During the raid the natives have never complained on the RMB.

HEREBY Liberates The United Kingdom of Britain.

HEREBY laughs at this joke.

First, if you want to liberate a region, learn about its history.

What a premise :palm: . It's not about how much you dislike the current regime. It's about the need for a liberation of TUKB. I can't see any, except some players antipathy of other players/regions.
