The People's Revolt (OPEN, MT)

Postby Merter » Fri Sep 25, 2009 1:20 am

Fifty miles south of Lightside City

An elderly man followed the path along the stream toward a village. There was a sound of a fighter jet quickly passing over the village. He ignored it and continued his stroll. The village composed of twenty or so buildings originally, now all but three of them were damaged or demolished in the war over the last few weeks. The elderly man didn't care about the war, the revolt, he just wanted to live out a simple life. He stopped to tie a red piece of cloth around his head to stop the sweat, then moved into the village itself. He had a small revolver, to defend himself, but it only had two rounds left, in his pocket.

Suddenly two soldiers emerged from the darkness and grabbed him by the arm. He was dragged over to the village square. The elderly man could see bodies everywhere. An officer turned around and noticed the man being dragged to him. "Well, what do you have to say for yourself?"

"What's going on?" asked the man, he was confused.

"Pretending he doesn't know a thing." laughed the officer, then the officer took out a pistol and shot the elderly man in the face. "Another commie that we don't need to worry about."

The soldiers laughed with the officer and went back to their posts to nab anyone they met.

Two hundred miles south of Lightside city

"Dragon 6, be advised, enemy tanks spotted southeast of your position. Over."

"Dragon 1, copy that. We'll make some trouble for them. Over."

"Dragon 6, just don't get killed and we'll be fine here. Over."

Sergeant Miller could see the enemy tanks easily, even without the computer and thermal helping him. Immediately the M1A2 he lead targeted the nearest enemy tanks, which were apparently T-90s. "Lets see how well it'll hold in the side." He muttered to himself then he yelled at his crew. "Send it!"

The tank made an enormous boom when it fired, at least that's what it seemed to Miller, he quickly checked the target. At first nothing happened to the tank, then it let off a fireball. The turret was literally blown off. Miller cheered himself then immediately begin targeting the other tanks. Today might be a good day after all.

Two miles further south, a group of a hundred democrat soldiers were under heavy fire and surrounded in an area where boulders made up the geography. Lieutenant John Walker lobbed a grenade at the attackers and quickly ducked behind another boulder. The throw served its purpose and immediately Walker's men counter-attacked furiously with bayonets and even sabers. The attackers were now the ones retreating back to the road. Then came the artillery strikes which killed half of Walker's company. The survivors headed north to a ridge where they were evacuated by Blackhawk helicopters.

OOC: Summary

Basically its a war between the new communist rebels who dominate the south part of the nation and the northern democratic government. Everyone is welcome to support either side.

Please respect each other.
Don't spam please.
I don't want to turn this into a nuke fest.

OOC: Mind if I join in?
IC: As the young man staggered through the narrow street he could still hear the screams ringing in his ears. He knew he did not have long before the soldiers found him. When they did they would drag him back to the square and the screaming would return. The twisted metal that held the prisoners while the soldiers..he shuddered just thinking about it. His life had been perfect. He lived in the southern village of Rashnatov and it was an idillic village. Then yesterday the soldiers came. He watched as his wife and children were torn away from him and brutally massacred. he had ran, knocking a soldier out of hid way in a desperte bid for freedom. He had ran as far as he could but it was not far enougth. He ran into the longest street in the village. Then he reached the end. The dead end. Now he was trapped as he heard the soldiers at the end. They were laughing, closing in, oblivious to the pain they were causing. Then the man found the gun in his pocket. One bullet.
The three soldiers reached the end of the street. Nothing there. They entered the side alley on the left and pereed into the darkness. One of the soldiers fumbled with his flashlight and the peircing darkness blinded them. When there eyes ajusted they saw the man. Then they did a very queer thing. They turned and walked off. For down that cold, damp, dark alley was a man with a gun in his hand and a bulet through his brain.
All hail the Modness, Reppy!

OOC: Don't mind at all.

Basically a bump for more interest.
