[draft]liberate fascist

Postby EMPIRE » Wed Apr 25, 2012 2:20 pm

The security council;

Noticing the occupation of the small, non-threatening region of fascist by extreme left-wing groups,
Further recognising that this invasion and destruction of an innocent region is one of many operations,
Noticing also the extreme ideological differences between the invader and the target,
Believing that these aforementioned differences are the motivation for this occupation,
Finding it dispicable that the former delegate has imposed a password on the region, in order to keep out both residents and liberaters alike,
Appalled at this act,
hearby liberates fascist.

This is my first resolution, so advice is much apreciated.

Why should we bother liberating a region devoid of all original natives that has been occupied for a very long time now? This is just going to be Nationalist Union all over again. We debate about it, people try to liberate an empty husk, and the invaders refound it as we debate about liberating it. Can you please list all of the former natives you know that would commit to the region after liberation?

Yeah, liberations are silly in the first, but even more silly when all the original inhabitants have left/CTE'd/don't seem to mind.

They haven't just left, they'va all been banned, one by one. If the region was opened back up, then people would want to go back.

I don't really see the point honestly. Much as I am in favour of right to free speech it seems a bit of a waste of time given that this one seemingly happened more than six months ago.

It does seem odd that the regions wait until they're nearly dead to try for a liberation (the last delegate having been over 6 months ago,) on the other hand if there are natives who want to try and take back their region, they should be given a chance.

Also you might want to do a bit of proof-reading on the draft:

Finding it dispicable despicable that the former delegate has imposed a password on the region, in order to keep out both residents and liberaters liberators alike,
Appalled at this act,
hearby hereby liberates fascist.

I'm pretty sure this region never was anything more than a dump for puppets ...
I remember checking its population when it was invaded, and the few nations that were there were all like "founded 39 days, answered the first issues, sat in the region without doing anything".

There.

I have to say, whilst I agree with your cause in general, liberating long dead regions which will just be refounded long before the resolution passes is silly. Nationalist Union was different, as there were still natives and there was a good chance of success.

Or is the proposer acting for Antifa so they get a second region with a badge? Let the paranoia spread :D

I want proof. I want to see a list of ex-natives that promise to go back and commit to the region (and not just sit there and cease to exist a month later.) I also want to see the promises from the natives myself.

Given a choice between the region being a locked down trophy for "Antifa" to gloat over, or an open region that can be populated and developed by those interested in doing so, we would favour the latter.

I agree, but this won't successfully open up the region, as it can be refounded at any time. Antifa will still have their region to gloat over, and they'll get loads more publicity as well.

What, no proof that the natives will come back and STAY? I rest my case. Trying to liberate the region in question will be a waste of everyone's time and effort.

Which occupied GGR region should I mention as a counter to this proposal?
I can't be arsed to look TBH, can't we get a new angle on this whole thing?

Job done, let the 'gloating begin' *tips hat to Celestial Sphere*.

Seriously, we are the natives and we are opening up the region, so that it can be populated and developed by those interested in doing so.

Oh My Days, after your Nationalist Union security council 'liberation' fiasco, you gave us all the free publicity that we could ever want.

Was it really necessary to gravedig the topic to tell us that?

While not gravedigging, this proposal is unlikely to actually be submitted (seeing as, you know, it wouldn't actually do anything). Therefore, I'm closing this thread. Discussion of the refounding of "Fascist" should be taken to the Gameplay forum.
