I think it's just done on points, as a lot of tiebreakers haven't happened yet, and it would be exhausting to go through all the TBs to see which ones are still beatable...

And just here with what is maybe an out there-ish type proposal...Please don't eat me!

Since the Cup of Harmony is used in the KPB rankings, and these rank points play a huge role in whether or not one wins matches or even is able to qualify for the WC again, should we perhaps look at altering it from being a pure invitation tournament to having some guaranteed placements available?

Let's say that RL situations have made things hard, and one has missed 2/3 of qualifying by being away for no other reason than just having a busy life. If this team is ranked in suppose, the top 40 or 50, and fails to qualify for the WC, should it have a guaranteed spot in the CoH?

Just a suggestion, and before anyone may point out me being biased to help me, M7 is ranked about 70th, not near even the 50 mark I suggested.

To be honest, I didn't expect it to either, just wanted to see what others might have thought, or if I was the only crazy one here!

No. No, no, no. No. The CoH is a tournament for top RPers, as a reward for entertaining us all but not making the WC finals you get another chance to improve your ranking, that's the reward.

If you're a top nation but haven't had time to RP and Margaret punishes you, then, well, tough. RL comes first sometimes and that's the way it is, I'm afraid. Remember that any top nation that misses the WC finals will probably still have two other cycles of decent results in their back pocket that continue to contribute to their rankings, its not the end of the world for them. That's the game we play.

I believe you certainly aren't the first to do so. Probably worth searching this thread for it… the arguments then apply equally now.
