Amanda smiled, happy she made her father proud. She then turn to her father. "Now where are we going mother and father?"

"We are going to the cemetary darling." The car drove through the streets and then on to a longer road in a motorcade of vehicles and then it came to a gate, it stopped and the door was opened. The King got out and then pointed up. ALDERHILL CEMETERY The words were written on the iron arch above. The gates beyond had green fields dotted with stones and a massive stone building. "This is where the dead soldiers stay."

The princess nodded at her fathers words. She waited patiently for his next words.

He led her among the many graves, the sites where heroes lay under the dirt marked by white stones with gold filigree, it was many who were dead, from General officers to privates, Admirals to Sailors all lay here in the dirt. In the mausoleum there were more, all had died in Crowns service.

The young princess moved from grave to grave, giving a small prayer and a salute to the fallen warriors.

The Princess would see faces, memories of dead young men, battles waged in distant forests, hills and jungles. Across green fields of foreign lands men dashed to their deaths in artillery fire and machine guns. Thrown into the air by mines.

Amanda turn to her father. "Daddy what am I seeing?" She asked a little scared.

[McNernia]

"What you are seeing is the memories of the dead." There were memories of parades in older times, of battles fought. The noble warriors who defended the realm. The Princess would see men in various uniforms standing at attention, spectral images.

Amanda saluted the spectres. She look at their father. "I will be proud to command such men when I am queen."

The spectres then vanished as the Royal Family passed them by. The King looked at his daughter. "The sons of such men train this day at the academies and camps."

Amanda eyes grew wide with excitement. She smiled at her father proudly.

[McNernia]

"Dont get too excited my dear girl." He was proud of his daughter, God knew that she would make a fine Queen. But the son in his wife's belly would complicate that. He looked at his family as the Royal Family paid their respects at the various graves, the King always conscious that the eyes of his people were on them. He love his family but matters of state would no doubt interfere.

Amanda looked at her father and notice his dower look. "Daddy is there something on your mind?"

"Well it is just that the people will watch us all the time all most. We are a great Firm that must do its job." The King smiled at his daughter. "Your mother is going to give you a brother my dear. But well, if the boy is human there will be people screaming at me to name him my heir, I name you and people will start to rally around George-Christian your cousin. And well....I worry about the future." He looked at his daughters, "Well I love you both." He kissed his children.

Amanda took her father by the hand and held it in her little hands. "Do not worry father. I will do my duty as your daughter." Amanda loved her father so much. She would do anything to make him proud of her.

The King looked at his daughter, "Amanda my child I love you very much, I know you will do your duty. You are my daughter and I will support you." The King picked her up and kissed her on the head. There were some cameras watching. The King ignored them and placed a wreath at the Imperial Flame. The great memorial to all those who have died in the service of the Empire. The King offered a salute to the stone faces with heads bowed and rifles at rest. To the eternal flame of war that had claimed many a soul.

Then it was into the car for the ride back through the city to the palace. The King looked at his wife and his children. The people could wait a little bit. He loved his family. They had made the world better for him. The King kissed his wife on the cheek when they were alone.

Silvarianna smiled at her husbands kiss. She was so proud of him. Silvarianna smiled as she caressed her stomach, feeling the young prince growing in her belly. "Have you thought of a name for your son yet my dear?"

Emilion held his wife close, he loved her so very much. There was a special sort of feeling about her when she was with child. He wove his hand in hers and placed it on her stomach. She seemed to be nearly showing signs of being with child. "Well he is not due for some time yet , I was thinking George? Or maybe Andrew like me. Or perhaps Patrick. But well is he a human or an elf. Anyway you do look like a sort of Goddess or you well might."

Silvarianna smiled and held her husband's hand. She looked up into his eyes. "Andrew what was your father's name. Maybe we could name him after your father?"

The King smiled at his wife, the idea of honoring his father with the name of the desceased king was a very good idea. "I love you for that." He held her close and then kissed her deeply sitting down on the couch. The room was quiet, outside the city passed as the sun went down.
