Well while we are waiting here's the results of the "Fastest Draw" recruiters test.
This was run in The West Pacific with a new nation being created, and capturing the time it took for a recruiting TG to appear in their inbox.

Fastest off the mark was The New Inquistion, who managed to get a message to our mystery nation within seconds of its foundation!

However, the boys with spikes in their hats failed to include a link to their own region, so good reactions but poor execution!

Close behind them today were Romana who DID remember to put the link in!

Then, with a delay of a whole minute after the first two, we have Europeia with no less than TWO links to their region, as well as instructions - these guys are obviousy pollished operators

Lastly we have The Kingdom of Denmark, who managed to get THREE links in their TG - compensating for their tardiness out of the slips perhaps?

An interesting suggestion, but a flawed one l'm afraid.

If you want rookies, then TG's to newly formed nations are one solution, but what do you get from a successful TG of that nature?
A new nation with minimal experience of the many faceted aspects of roleplay, WA procedure, Military gameplay or any of the other pursuits open to NS players.

If you have the time to coach these new players in the arts of these disciplines then you probably already have a training programe in place and recruiting will be the last of your worries

But many recruiters are not only looking for rookies, but also people that can build forums, run regional governments, manage military organisation - in short people with experience.

But who, in general, gets recruitment TG's in a feeder? The newcomers

The experienced player, bored with his mediocre existence in a Feeder, is rarely aware of the prospects open in the emerging region.

Been in the Pacifics for a few weeks, you've looked around and the Charter is there, the forums are well established, and the power blocks and cliques are well and truly entrenched, and fairly hard to break into.

You want to strike out on your own but what are your options? To a greater or lesser extent you will face the same problem in the existing UCR's. So you decide create your own region.

Our solution gives you a third option of seeing who is actively recruiting, not just for population, but for talent - for builders and creators, for innovators and doers.

For our advertisers it encourages them to be more specific about who they are looking for - the top Five fastest recruiters in the test above made no allowance for the political, ideological or economic compasses of the nations they TG'd, so even if they get a response, how many will be inclined to stay in the region?

With our method the mobile nations will at least have some inclination to actually joining a new region - in short they are LOOKING to re-locate. If our scheme takes off then having your ad on our RMB may mean the difference between this talent finding you or walking on to form a new region in competition with yours

If you are in the business of recruiting then you will be familiar with some concept of marketing, and by extension the importance of a showroom.

Yes, ours is an intangible service, but we are not demanding an extortionate fee, or insisting on binding alliances, economic treaties or defence pacts.

This reminds me of the (brief) discussion there was over ejecting/banning recruiters from the feeders. It was then quickly concluded that the rules merely say for what behavior moderators will punish, not what players have some sort of 'intrinsic right' to do. Players may not recruit in user-created regions, with recruiting in game-created regions allowed. However, feeder Delegates may still yield their ban buttons for any reason, including recruiting.

It seems to me Suppression would be handled in the same way. Even when the game rules allow recruiting on the RMB, those with access to Suppression may Suppress those messages. There is a difference though: the same nation which set the Recruiter-Friendly tag to begin with, thus inviting recruiters to post their messages, is also the one doing the suppressing. This isn't being honest towards recruiters, but then again... this game doesn't enforce players to be honest to one another. It's a political simulation game, so some might say lying about ones intentions is in some way even encouraged .

I'm curious why you're using our name and our flag. Would you mind refreshing my memory of who exactly you are, and why you think you have the right to use the Atlantic Alliance's material?
