Condemn Lazzarania and/or Liberiteria (+Lord John Whorfin)

Postby Rzeczpospolita Polska IV » Sun Feb 26, 2012 7:15 pm

Lazzarania, a WA member, is the founder of "The Royal Alliance". (AKA "Governor-General")
Liberiteria, Lazzarania's puppet, is the WA delegate (non-executive) of "The Royal Alliance".
Lord John Whorfin, a WA member, Lazzarania's pawn. (AKA "Supreme Court Justice")

Although I'm not sure of the nature of the creator of the prior nations, I and many others that are present or former members of this region feel that it is necessary to condemn either one or all.

This is part of the region's factbook:
"WA Members: You must endorse the WA Delegate (Liberiteria) and the Founder (Lazzarania)."

...Otherwise, you get your posts suppressed, you get ejected, and banned.(not included)

He constantly spies on people by using the "dossier" tab and blames active players that don't endorse him and calls them "spies".

Look at his Regional Message Board.(before he self-deletes it)

He suppresses anyone that writes something he doesn't like. (ex.- changing the delegate)

The following is something I saved from the RMB:

"Dear members of The Royal Alliance,

There are a number of WA nations, one who just departed of his own volition when confronted, then was promptly banned because he presented as an obvious spy, who have arrived here and blatantly disobeyed a common-enough law in NS, to wit: to endorse the WA Delegate. This fellow who just departed proudly gloated on the RMB how there is one fewer WA nation here. That's the type of vinegary attitude common to those who are finally, after much patience, confronted and asked to behave in a normal, decent manner. It leads me to believe, due to much experience, that spies are very bitter people. :)

This number of whom I speak have received my endorsement previously, yet are making no move to obey the law by endorsing the WA Delegate. They've been politely asked more than once to obey the law. The law doesn't state that Liberiteria and I must give our endorsement --- I do it out of courtesy.

I put all these non-compliant WA nations on notice: If you do not cease to break the law by failing to endorse the WA Delegate you shall be deported from The Royal Alliance, on principle.

All those that have endorsed the WA Delegate have demonstrated that they are law abiding fellow-nations of The Royal Alliance. The fact that some are refusing/failing to endorse the WA Delegate speaks volumes about them and their reason/s (possibly nefarious) for joining The Royal Alliance.

Don't be misled by thinking that your WA status will make me hesitant to deport you. It won't. Again, you will respect all nations with whom you are allied, by respecting and obeying all laws of The Royal Alliance, as do all the respectable nations of The Royal Alliance. You are doing injury, by blatantly disregarding the law, to each and every law-abiding nation in the Commonwealth."

Lazzarania
Governor-General

"And just to clear something up: No one gets deported for receiving WA Endorsements. It's encouraged. Look @ Malay states, he has several. Thing is, if you got really close to the WA Delegate, obviously we'd adjust things so you don't unlawfully become WA Delegate. A very decent number of WA endorsements are allowed, but I'm sure everyone can appreciate that it'd be chaos if people were accidentally unseating the WA Delegate by exceeding his number of endorsements."

There's much more, but I don't want to bore you because some of it can be really inappropriate.
As this is a draft, I can only provide something to think about. We need to make a collaborative effort to condemn Lazzarania, Liberiteria, and Lord John Whorfin.

Dr. Forshaw looked around the room with a look of mild perplexion. After exhausting all possible avenues, (which ranged from looking under pots, to scanning the window sill) he determined that the draft resolution was nowhere to be found.

Ambassador - the proposal? How can we critique something that does not exist?

Yours in checking under the planted pot once more,

Sorry. Bit unorganized.

I'm not an expert in writing proposals. I thought someone might want to work on it.

Okay, other than having multiple WA nations, this person is simply a despotic delegate/founder. While prohibiting the election of other nations as delegate is frowned upon, condemning them is not likely to change the situation. I recommend staying out of that region. I will support if you right a good proposal, but being a power mad delegate isn't really grounds for being condemned.

Asking someone else to write a proposal...for you? If your delegation wishes to proceed with this condemnation, your delegation must write it.

Looking for help.

I'll write it. Just asking for ideas. Need to write up something that can pass the mods. I'm working on it, but decided to post this up for now, just in case anyone had something they wanted to add.

Do I have a shot too? lolol

Look, can you condemn me for something valid? I mean, condemning me for insisting that people follow one of the most common rules in NS is not good enough! :P

Excuse me. I do not have multiple WA nations. Excuse me, I'm not a "despotic delegate/founder."

The current Delegate is Liberiteria. There will be proper elections held in due course, NOT Rzeczpospolita Polska IV-style coups, where he came to The Royal Alliance recently and saw an opportunity to unseat the Delegate (in favor of me lol) and seditiously did so.

Yes, the law at The Royal Alliance is: That WA Members must endorse the current WA Delegate and Founder. Simple rule. There are some active members who are transgressing the law, despite being politely asked many times to obey the rules.

So, what is suggested --- allowing people to blatantly disregard simple rules? Sorry, but Polska's arrest, trial and ban/ejection was entirely in order.

The facts are: Rzeczpospolita Polska IV has an axe to grind because he has personal problems with me. You've been informed, Polskie-baby, that you have NO grounds in which to call for my condemnation. Suck it up, Polska, suck it up. ;)

Can one propose a condemnation on a player who "personalizes" things to an inordinate degree in NS? :)

This seems....confusing. A promising start for a thread. I am looking forward to the continuation on this one.
"Send forth all legions! Do not stop the attack until the city is taken! Slay them all!"
>Can I invade other people's regions?

Yes. The practice of "region crashing," where a group of nations all move to a region with the aim of seizing the WA Delegate position, is part of the game. Certain groups within NationStates are particularly adroit at this, and can attack very quickly.
>Once I've taken over a region, can I eject everyone else?

You can try. Invader Delegates tend to have very little Regional Influence, which makes ejecting long-time residents difficult. But Delegates can be as kind, generous, evil, or despotic as they wish. It's up to regional residents to elect good Delegates.

It seems confusing, but only because a certain person seeks to mislead people about the true nature of his complaint. He came to our region, attempted some shenanigans and was dealt with. That's the problem, i.e. that he didn't get away with his mischief.

What arrest and what trial? This is BS. Why did you state that "you" have to be endorsed. I thought you wanted to let the elections go by legally. I removed my endorsement from Liberiteria because he was un-responsive. I didn't plan on endorsing you, You suck. Your just always second in line. It's not my fault, it's yours.
