Long has been the great struggle of man in this, this tragedy of war. From the day, December 1st, 1941 up to May 17th, 1949 have we seen the true, ugly and relentless face of war. I propose, as to end and abolish war forever from this planet, the formalisation and indefinite protection of a New World Moral Order.
- President Roosevelt's address to Congress, 1950.

Introduction

The year is 1952, and in most parts of the world the sting of war is still present.

The Second World War began in late 1941, following two years of suspiscion towards Germany following the rise and power of the Nazi regime. Almost immediately most of Eastern and Northern Europe fell to the German 'Blitzkrieg' tactic, twinned with the German's superior technology. Wonder weapons such as the Me-262 and the Konigstiger quickly put to rubble the armies of Europe in the early stages of the war. By February 1942, France, Britain, Spain and Portugal remained free. The four countries hastily formed an alliance, and raced to defend the French border, but they were beaten to it by the advancing Nazis. What followed were a series of heavily fought battles, desperate at halting the German advance before it could take Paris, and in the summer of 1942, the Allied force by some miracle - succeeded this mission by halting the Germans only 20 miles from Paris. The war at this point stalemated, neither the Allies or Nazis could mount a decisive attack without a chance of it failing. The Allies needed much more manpower before an attempt at liberating France could be put forward. And the Germans were bogged down fighting the Soviet's in Eastern Europe, who were invaded by the Germans during the 1942 summer.

But by 1943, the Allies gained a much needed adversary into the war - The United States of America, had finally entered the war after the Japanese failed to catch the US Navy at anchor in Pearl Harbour. America's biggest concern was Japan, but also sent volunteers and equipment to the UK. Operation Vertigo, was now ready to begin. The Allies launched an all out attack at the German forces along the French border, who had fortified it with devastatingly effective weaponry - long range cannons, machine gun traps, miles of barbed wire and planted mines hindered the Allied advance. But by July in the same year, at the Battle of Lille, the Allies finally managed to punch a sizeable hole in the German defensive line, and millions of troops funneled through to put an end to the German presence on the French land. Finally, on the 7th November in the same year, the German defensive line collapsed entirely, but at a great cost to the Allies, for every town liberated, gun battery destroyed, airfield, ammo dump, barracks or Headquarters captured, the Germans made fully sure the Allies paid dearly in blood.

1944 saw the USA advance in the Pacific, were they met the routed Japanese fleet who had began to adopt rocket and suicide based practices. Kamikaze aircraft struck, and sank the USS Enterprise in the Battle of the Phillipine Islands, but this loss was overshadowed by the tremendous loss of 4 Japanese Carriers, plus the mighty Battleship Yamato in the same battle. Japan at this stage was now too underpowered to fight America on the ocean and began to fortify its island positions. With Japan now on the ropes, America devoted much more manpower to the war in Europe, as well as assisting the Chinese and Indian armies in repelling the Japanese on land. Italy devoted itself to fighting alongside the Nazi's in Europe, and invaded France at Marseilles in late 1944. The Allied forces were now met with a serious problem, there could be no advance in Germany if the rear was unsecured. By decision of the Allied command, British General Bernard Montgomery - fresh from his duties in North Africa during the African Civil War in 1939 was put in command of defending France from Italy, and then invading Italy itself.

As the war progressed into 1945, the Allies managed to push back the Italian forces out of Marseilles, before initating a British led counter-invasion into Italy, it's focal point being at Genoa, where the Allies would eventually advance, and liberate Rome later that year. After Rome fell in August that year, Mussolini made a decision to massacre more than 20,000 of his own countrymen - he blamed them for Italy's failure. As the Allied ring closed in around Southern Italy, the massacres increased before Mussolini attempted to flee via ship to Turkey to claim amnesty, but he was met by the Allies in conquered Sicily, and was executed by firing squad, ordered by Montgomery. With Italy now secured, the advance in Europe could finally begin. The Soviet Union were approaching at speed from the East, and were essentially racing to beat the Allies to Berlin. With Monty advancing from Italy, American General George Patton led the Allies from France, and across into Germany. The advance of both the Soviet and Allied forces began Germany's most fierce defensive battles, and became more reliant on their technology to stall the advances.

1946 through to 1947 saw Germany boosting its technological capacity to halt the Allied and Soviet advances. With great sucess, the Germans managed to stop Patton's 3rd Army at Dusseldorf, by use of guided rockets and Armor superiority. But Patton bit back at the later Battle of Essen, by capturing some of Germany's most top secret weaponry, including the X-163 Komet, an experimental but far superior variant of the earlier Messerschmitt 163 Komet as well as several revolutionary weapons, and even blueprints for the next stage of the Vengeance weapons programme. Montgomery broke out of Occupied Switzerland at around the same time, and liberated Munich in late 1946, but both Patton's and Montgomery's armies were yet to understand just how far Hitler was prepared to go to defend the Fatherland. As Patton moved on Hanover, and Montgomery on Nuremberg in Operation Destiny in 1947, The Luftwaffe detonated two atomic bombs above the city, claiming thousands of both Allied and enemy lives in an instant. This one fatal blow was enough to force the Allied forces to retreat back to the French border.

As the war took a sudden turn in Europe, in the Pacific, Japan was ready to fold. Operation Downfall, the US invasion of Japan went underway in late 1947, Tokyo being the target to force Japan's surrender. The fighting on Japanese home soil was tough, both armies took incredible losses. The succesful Battles of Yokohama and Chiba opened the way for the US to walk into Tokyo, where the fighting was that much more fierce. But eventually in early February of 1948, Japan unconditionally surrendered to the US. In Europe, the Soviet Union was unhindered by the explosions at Nuremberg and Hanover, and pressed on against the Nazis, winning a Decisive Battle at Poznan before continuing into Germany from the East. The Allies proposed to the Soviets that due to the inevitable losses the Soviets would recieve at the Battle of Berlin, that the Allies link up with the Soviet's through liberated Hungary and support the Soviet drive to Berlin. The Soviet's agreed on the condition that they recieve Berlin as a postwar prize, the Allies accepted but with hesitation.

Late 1948 saw Operation Red Liberty commence, the full invasion of Germany. The SOVALLCOM (Soviet-Allied Command) thwarted a breakout at Dresden, before making a final push to Berlin. Upon arrival they realised that the entire area of Inner Berlin had been turned into a walled up fortress, where the Nazis unleashed more of their secret weapons on the SOVALLCOM but provided to be much less effective. It took the SOVALLCOM 3 months to punch a big enough hole in the defense around Berlin, partly due to disagreement in the American and Soviet commanders. But finally in April that year, the SOVALLCOM managed to push through, and in the following month, Germany finally surrendered and the war was won.

Post-war efforts supported containing and an immediate quarantine of Germany, Italy and Japan from the outside world, to purify and clean the brainwashed minds of the Axis nation's people. Germany was given full administration under the USSR. Italy was administered by the British, whilst Japan was occupied and later administered by the United States.

Several post-war changes in the world also took effect, America inherited Canada in return for Britain recieving most of the East Indies and several dominions on the African Continent. The USSR was allowed to bolster along Eastern Europe and the Far East. India, was granted Independence from Britain owing to its involvement in the Second World War, and most other continents were formatted under a single government, a collection of United States.

But the year is now 1952, and the world is changing. A cornered China faces off against the Republican bully of India. Fears grow in Africa of a second Civil War, and nations belonging to the USSR demand change, to form into a new European Alliance. For most politicans, this seems like the powder keg necessary to kick start World War Three...

10 Downing Street, London, March 1952
The elections have just been held and a new Conservative government was in power. Prime Minister George Church was preparing for his first full on cabinet meeting with the King and all the secretaries. It was to be an interesting meeting t that too, so much to be discussed in so little time. Hong kong and Singpore were under threat again while the remaining British troops were to be evacuated from Bombey soon; Australia was clamoruing to get rid of the monarch, which might undermine British troops in the region; meanwhile HM government had to del tenetivly with South Africa as it was preparing to join the new Afric super-state and the whites were scared to death of an African nationalist movement. Further the occupation of the Naples and Sicily was proving to be a boondoggle at best with the population hardly being effected, al this combined with the Soviet threat which damn wel almost dominated Europe and this was quite the show. All these thoughts wized around the PM's head as the King entered and took his seat at the Head of the table.
"I call this session of the cabinet to order,, you may be seated" said the King.
Next the Minister of the Cabinet spoke "Our first order of business is to heara report from the Far Eastern Aaffairs Secretary on the status of Hong Kong, Singapore, and our forces in Australia, Batavia, and Bombey. Mister Secretary you have the floor."
"Thank you chaps, now the situation is quite dire" he said "Currently we have 5000 men in Hong Kong, and 10,000 in Singapore. By far Singapore is the strongest and best defended and defendable sites in the Far East. However Hong Kong is a concern. Currently the Chinese government is at a civil war, and if they lose then we will be in trouble. The rebels there have promised to take Hong Kong back by force if nessacary, and we are in little position to defend against a protracted assault. Our forces in Thailand could make a move north through the jungles but that would be a risky affair and the terrain is difficult nd easily fortifyable. It would be suicide to say the least to try and make it through there. Our only option therefore is to keep Australia in our court so to say and make sure we have a naval force which could rush reinforcements to the city if need be. Now our forces in Bombey are best withdrawed. They serve no further purpose there and can only keep the new Indian government anatgonized towards us. Now we it is best we move those troops to reinforce Batavia in the East Indies. Singapore is already well guarded at 10,000 troops and Hong Kong can't handle more than their 5000. With this new addition we cn take pressure off the locals and futher secure the area."
"Now however I must address Australia getting rid of the monarch. While it would be advantagous to keep the monarch there, I suggest it is time to hold a vote on the matter. From recent observation during my tour of the Far East last month I came to the conclusion that Australia would remain anti-communist. The Liberal Party-National Party coalition seem perfectly situated to deal with the communists while the Labour Party has rejected most forms of socialism. It is truly non-issue. I now rest and let the Defense Secretary speak" concluded the Far East Secretary.
"Thank you Mr. Secretary. Gentlemen I present a rather mixed situtation. Currently the army only totals 300,000 active duty soldiers. 20,000 are deployed in the Far East, 15,000 more are scattered through Naples, Sicily, Malta, and Cyprus with another while another 5000 are on garrison duty in Gibralter. 10,000 troops are stationed in Jamaica while the remaining 240,000 are based here in Great Britian to counter the USE threat across the Channel. It is my fear we do not have enough troops to deal with a possible multi-front assault. Further after reviewing broader Commonwealth strength that could only provide an addition 100,000 men at best. Keep in mind this is scattered across the globe and we have no gurantee that the US, or India might help or aid in anyway. It is my recomendation we begin calling up reserves and the Territorial Army so we can deploy the other soldiers abroad."
"At naval strength we need a significant build up too. We only have 4 aircraft carriers. 1 based out of Belfast, another during operations in Cyprus, another stationed at Darwin with the final one at Singapore. If faced with a multi-front offensive we cannot hold them off for long, and our ability to deploy air power would be seriously hampered. As we know, another carrier will be finished in a few weeks to be deployed to Jamaica, however I request that we either move to put it in Malta or send it to Hong Kong where it can run patrols with the American forces inthe region. Thank you"
"Right right good options. What say you Your Majesty?" defered the PM.
"It is time with Australia, mumbeled the King. "Inform the press and Australian Prime Minister Sir David Axel that we will have a vote on independence. In the meantime I agree we need to redploy our forces. Begin calling up the reserves, espeicaly naval ones and put more ships in order and sent out what battleships are docked at South Hampton. I do not want the fleet to be caught in the channel with the USE on the other side. Gentlemen we are dismissed."
With that the caninet departed, war loomed on the horizon and His Majesty's Government had every intention of being prepared.

re-education 50 miles outside of Dresden 1:13AM
A silent night in the camp as Soviet guards stood watch at the walls of the camp. Outside the barracks around the wall of the entrance to the building a small group of six former Wehrmacht troops led by Wilhelm Menschen. 1:20 shift change a guard stepped out of the barracks and when he turned around to close the door he was greeted by a hand covering his mouth and knife through his throat. The veterans quickly disposed of his body around the corner of the building. An eager Soviet guard was waiting in the guard tower to changes shifts. The guard met his demise from the bullet of Kar98 as another guard on another tower on the opposite side of the compound sounded the alarm awaking the sleeping, disoriented and utterly annoyed Soviet guards. They all ran out of the barracks with a sleep deprived passion. five of the German soldiers ambushed and disarmed the guards who were simply too tired to fight in a pitch black night. The other inmates awoken to find a camp in chaos but quickly reinforced the German revolt. For ten minutes the tired Russians and Germans battled hand to hand. By 2:00Am the last of the Soviet guards met their demise the one hundred or so inmates of the camp celebrated in the night. Wilhelm Menschen stepped onto the back of a Soviet supply truck and delivered a speech "Once again we have been proved victorious over the Bolsheviks!,The dreaded communists think they can force their nonsense into our minds! they imprison us like animals and so we can have so called "clean" minds! This is the first of many acts of defiance that will occur against the Bolsheviks. Since the day of our unification the German people have faced hardships of oppression, betrayal, depressions and now we stand under the boot of communism. But no more we will rise again like the leaders before us. My people once again we will prove German dominance over the communists we will rise up again and form The Fourth Reich!" The inmates clapped and cheered as Wilhelm walked away. Wilhelm was never a speech giver but we was a natural leader he fought on the eastern front fighting the Soviets head on and has witnessed their brutality. He wanted to rise and become the leader of the Deutschland and this was his chance. His name would spread as a rebel, a freedom fighter against the Soviet Union and He would rise to power.

Beijing, Mainland China, 1952, 3 Months into the Chinese Civil War

China as a nation suffered a dreadful, dragged out Civil war at the close of the Second World War which was still being fought with little advance. The Capitalist rebels led by Qing Mao wanted an end to the Premiership of the beloved leader Gao Ming Xi, who was sworn leader as China developed into a Communist country. But the Civil War was still dragging on - it left a grey cloud in Gao's mind, the Civil War needed to close. One of the Premier's aides was demanded to the Premier's quarters in the Great Hall of the People, China's government sanctuary.

"We must force an end to this Civil War, our army is weak and if the rebels know how easy it is to crack the shell along the Yellow River, then we are doomed and condemned to death. We will stop the war, by introducing weapons of words - acknowledging the rebellion's hatred, but direct it to our close enemy."

Unknown Rebel Village in Northern China

During the Civil War's output, the rebels were often and nearly always cut off from fresh food and water by the Loyalist forces, for most Rebel's - some just wanted to go home and live out the rest of their lives without an empty stomach. Still the rebels had various locations that the Loyalist's knew would be vital to stop the War, and in this particular village would an example of this progress begin. A Loyalist column of Halftracks bought from the Soviet Union entered the village, a Chinese Officer emerged from the lead Halftrack.

'Rebels! Hear my voice! It does not matter to the enemy if you are rebel or loyalist, you are sons of China! And the dragon's point of existence lies in your compliance! We are not the enemy we were 1 year ago, see that this war has brought no-one any good or has made any successful gain, only suffering and needless bloodshed! Premier Xi will provide food for your submission! For you will need the enemy to fight those who started this war!

As the Officer pouted back inside the truck, soldiers threw sacks of pure rice onto a pile for the villagers. Like rats, the peasent rebels snatched away the precious food. This was now happening all across the country, and Premier Xi knew that this 'Hearts and Minds' tactic would sway the rebels back under Loyalist assurance without the need for spilt blood. But of course, some pockets of resistance still remained...

Rebellion hideout, Chinese Himalayas

'Red Four, target marked!' Came the voice from a Pilot leading four MiG-15's. 'Rebel camp in range, drop your ordinance!' And like birds fro mthe sky, came bombs that instantly scattered and destroyed an entire camp in a matter of seconds. Flames licked from the destroyed makeshift houses, and the planes strafed the ground incase any survivors remained. Like a ghost, the planes departed but left a massacre. Coincidentally, a troop of Chinese loyalist soldiers arrived to tidy up the place - making the area as accidental as possible - they were covering up their tracks.

Governors Mansion, Hong Kong
"Well sir things are intensifying on the mainland." said head of Intelligence Col. George Harrison. "The new propaganda offensive by the communists combined with the raids on the rebels are wearing them out. If the rebels fall then there is no telling what the communists would do next."
"Christ. Tell me. If the communists launch a sustained offenesive against HK how long could we last?" asked Governor Lord Richard Sellen.
"Well," answered the Commander of the Garrison at Hong Kong General Sir Jason Ibraham "we could last intital assaults and we have plans drawn up for a protracted siege. We have enough supplies for a 3 month siege, and thats considering the Royal Navy can't break the siege. However, and Col. Harrison will agree" the colonel nodded "that the Chinese lack even basic naval capablilites to lay a siege on HK. They have few ships and even fewer trained crew members, and it takes decades to build navy. The problem is time. If they can whittle us down fast enough in supplies before the Royal Navy can come to the rescue then we're in quite the situation to say the least."
An aide entered the room and said, "Sirs, orders from London. The PM has ordered battle procedures initiated and to raise the alert level to 2."
"Very good, dismissed" said the Governor. "General Ibraham, please begin initiating battle plans and I want those supplies secure. I will meet with the City and Provincal Councils soon to discuss a voluntary evacuation and calling up a militia. I am placing all members of the Hong Kong Metropalitan Police Service on alert. Do your duty. God Save the King."
U.K High Commissioner's Residence, New Dehli
"Sir, new orders from London. The Far East Affairs Secretary want us to ramp up our supply efforts of the rebels in China. The Soviets cannot win." said the aide as he walked in to meet with the High Commissioner. "We are to build a new route through the Himilayas and Burma to reach the new jungle and mountain bases of the rebels. They are in need of food and water. London also wants secret new medical camps established near the border to better aide the rebels. The Indian government has promised to aide us and they are no friend of the Chinese so they have no desire for a united China."
"Very well, London is becoming more heavy handed in foreign policy since the new prime minister but its more cohesive i must say. Let me call the ministers of foreign affairs and defense and set up some meetings. I gather we need to act qucikly." It was at that moment that he heard a broadcast over the radio he couldn't beleive....
Governor-General's House, Canberra, Australia
"It is my pleasure to announce the Crown has declared that a referandum on becoming a republic will be held in a few months. After much deliberation and negotiation with Prime Minister Sir David Axel we have come to the conculison i referandum be held before the year is out on the status of Australia." The press corps was stunned the secretarys announcement.

Paris, United States of Europe
March 9, 1952

It was fortunate that the day of the parade was unseasonably warm for March. As the first major military parade held since the war in any of the USE's original constituent countries, it was impossibly important that it go over well. The crowds, at least, seemed to be in attendance; there were reportedly over a million people here to watch this parade. The people crowded in by the barriers, peered out windows, sat on rooftops, watched from balconies, and in some cases even managed to surmount the temporary concrete fencing between them and the parade route. Gendarmes on horseback, bicycle, and foot tried their utmost to keep the civilians from falling under tank treads or truck tires.

And there were plenty of opportunities for the people to do so, as the number of tanks and trucks in the parade was staggering. The military was no longer restricted to the slow ARL-44 that had been in service during the later stages of the war, nor the lightly armed and armoured SOMUA and Renault cavalry tanks used at the start of it. They had developed entirely new tank tactics and designs, which made use of new oscillating turret designs that saved considerable weight and made production less expensive. The AMX-50, a heavy assault tank sporting a large 120mm gun, had replaced all of the slow, light, poorly-armed infantry tanks of the prewar era; and the AMX-13, a fast light cavalry tank with a 90mm HV gun, was the widely-used scout tank, as it was much faster than any of the lightly-armed and overarmoured cavalry tanks used before the war. Rumors abounded concerning other designs, however. There was a popular one that the French had bought a prototype American medium tank with an oscillating turret, and were using it to develop a new medium tank for armored units. The only evidence of this claim was a small, low-quality photograph published in a Barcelona newspaper; yet the rumor persisted.

Wheeled vehicles, too, were widespread. Immediately behind the lead "arrowhead" formations of AMX tanks on parade were five dozen ACMAT trucks in three lines, driving in a formation as pristine and perfect as the dress uniforms of the men who sat in them, MAS-49 rifles on their shoulders. And after them came the Panhard EBR armoured cars. These speedy, eight-wheeled tank destroyers were armed with the same 90mm guns as the AMX-13, and bore similar oscillating turrets. They were to be paired directly with infantry units, and used as fire support vehicles as well as providing considerable anti-tank capabilities.

The military parade tapered off a few hours later, having included firefighting and police vehicles and men as well. A unit of the European Legion, formed from the union of the French and Spanish Foreign Legions, had marched through, their slow "crawl" march speed having detained the units behind them considerably. Spanish troops made up a considerable segment of the European military, having suffered few casualties in the War and retaining the experienced officer corps of the Spanish Civil War. French, being used in Switzerland, Belgium, and of course France, had become the literal lingua franca of the USE. And with the regionalistic dialect system in Spain, no one had disputed that this was the better choice. French was also spoken, to an extent, in Italy, mostly in Savoy. But the Italians were not allowed to serve in the European army, even though most or all of them had long since put Fascism behind them. Italy was still an occupied territory, but the USE looked to change that; they would need all the help they could muster in order to stand up to the Soviets. Even with the election of a Conservative government in the UK, and the predominance of Action Francais on the Continent, they would have a hell of a time of it if the Reds came thundering across the Rhine.

Copenhagen, United Scandanavia- King Christian X Airfield

Air Doce Kringle sat in an observation tent not far from Runway 3 at King Christian X Airfield. With him sat several of Scandanavia's leading air marshals. At the end of the runway sat 4 F-84F Thunderstreak's preparing for takeoff. The new Thunderstreak's were designed as fighter-bombers to replace the outdated Thunderjet series, and possibly the F- 86 Sabres. Few, however, thought the new Thunderstreaks would be that fast. Silence took over the crowd as the first plane roared down the asphalt. The plane bounced once, twice, and then lifted off. The others quickly followed suit.

The Thunderstreaks climbed to 10,000 feet, where they began to exercise evasive manouvers. It was apparent to Kringle that the planes had a poor turning rate, but they were definitely faster than the Thunderjets. He would have to think on these planes. They were certainly agile enough to replace that old Glouchester Comet squadron stationed in Tronjheim. Yes, he would place them there.
Why us nice guys are best.

Over the span of months Soviet camps and occupied towns have been reclaimed by the German Nationalists. Wilhelm's forces have recently taken a former German airbase which contained old German planes and Tanks here he would revive the Luftwaffe and use Germans monster tank force against the Russians once more. Wilhelm's strategy was to takeover everything surrounding Dresden. Then he would put a siege on the city but also expecting Germans in the city to rebel against the Soviet occupation. After he took Dresden he would move north and take the capital of the Deutschland,Berlin.
Dresden,Soviet occupied Germany
March 9 1952
10:00 AM

German tanks and infantry charged the already ruined city of Dresden. The guards patrolling the outskirts retreated back to the city to warn the others. Inside the Soviets were distributing bread or lining up Germans for execution. In about one hour the regiment of the Red Army ordered to guard the city was warned of the coming German blitzkrieg. The Soviets ran alarms through the ruined city urging the soldiers to move up to the western border of the city. For weeks in the city a German rebellion had been collecting weapons from a Russian supply storage buildings and suppliers from the German nationalists. About one thousand men in Dresden were ready to revolt against the Soviet occupation.

The German nationalist army had finally reached the city and charged in to destroy the Communists occupying the city. About 200 frightened Red army soldiers huddled behind cover and scavenging up what anti-tank equipment they had. Both armies were poorly equipped and about half of the twenty tanks had ran out of fuel just outside the city and were quickly adapted as cover. The Red Army troops retreated in about one hour with three quarters of their force devastated they retreated across the bridge over the river to the other side of the city. After about another hour the German force had caught up with the Russians with the help of the resistance fighters.

Dresden,Nationalist Germany
March 9 1952
1:20 PM

Shortly after the battle the flag of the German Empire had been raised over town hall and a message had been sent to Wilhelm Menschen.
The telegram was sent to a village about 10 miles outside of the city. After receiving the message Wilhelm quickly commandeered a German car with one of his advisors which would be the new mayor of Dresden along with the generals that planned the attack. once Wilhelm had arrived he stood at the steps of the town hall risen above the crowd of thousands of soldiers and liberated citizens and gave a speech.
"Today we have achieved one of the first of many victories against the communists! One step at a time we will liberate the Deutschland from the Soviets and in the same step crush the will of the communists. Together we can regain our independence and push Deutschland back into its rightful seat as a world power. But I can not do it with out any of you!" The crowd cheered at Wilhelm with a hope of freedom from the CCCP.

Governor's Mansion, Gibralter
"Christ our situation gets worse by the day doesn't it." said Governor General Fredrick Holland, who was also commander of the defenses at Gibralter. "First London says we're getting more troops then rediverts them to Hong Kong. God Almighty, we only have 20,000 men in the Med and when either the Soviets or the new USE decides to roll up down here. Then they'll be screaming about how we didn't hve enough forces. Isn't tht right John?"
John was, Admiral Lord John Clark, commander of British forces in the Med. He responded, "Aye, too right mate, too right. For years I've tried to get London to see things differently but they thing we'll do good with just 5000 men here and 15,000 spred out through here. My God either the Soviets or USE could roll right through us like butter."
"Sir, new orders from London" said an aide.
"Well it's about god-damn time" said the general. "We're getting 20,000 reinforcements from Britian and there calling out the Territorials. About bloody time."
"Too right, an dit looks like there sending naval reinforcements too. We'll need them; put some more in Malta and Cyprus for sure."
"You hear bout that business in Australia?" asked the general"I tell ya the worlds gone to shambles...."
Prime Minister of the Dutch Government in Exile Residence, Batavia (aka Jakarta)
"Ah yes. I fear we are going to need to recall up what men we can to defend us. God, with the British deploying we're going to have to secure the supply routes and provide a reserve" said the PM. Ever since the end of WW2 the Dutch government had been meeting here. Europe was too divided into the USE and USSR camps to re-estblish a free Holland, so they remained in the Dutch East Indies, ready to help the Brits. War was coming and this provided the perfect oppurtunity to reestablish Holland and gain vital new allies in the fight.

Beijing, United Republics of China, March 15th, 1952.

The Premier's Residence was guarded by only the most well trained Elite Chinese troops, these men had seen action in the Second World War, they were far superior to the conscripted bulk that was the Chinese Army. Inside the residence, the Premier had gathered his senior political and military advisors. "We must find a way to end this Civil War without entering into war with the British. China will have it's glory day as a united Communist nation - but right now we must establish authority and absolution over the Rebels. I expect a unified and possible solution in 24 hours, gentlemen. Good Day." The Premier's aides rose and left the room, chattering amongst themselves. If China was to restore the once prestigious and leading nations in Asia, it would need to jump the hurdles set ahead of it.

Premier's Private Quarters - 10:50am, URC, March 15th, 1952.

"As we all know, the US and Royal Navy together is impenetrable. We must focus on reviving the armed forces on land and in the air." Said First General Hanan Fai. "The British establishment in Hong Kong is an artery to Australasia, but if we attack the British they will respond with extreme prejudice." The entire hall agreed, nodding in unison, the Premier motioned for the General to continue.

"If we can establish an olive branch with the British, the Indian's may be strapped in the middle. War is our last choice, so we must shake hands with the West." The General finished, and took his seat whilst a political advisor stood up to speak.

"Hong Kong, we re-open the trade route with Hong Kong, and supply the British with Opium, China Pottery and...Tea." The room lightly chucked at the expression of Tea being exported to the British. "We must show Britain that The Dragon and Britannia can coincide hand in hand. If India continues it's warmongering along the Himalayas, they may even side for their Colonial prestige."

"Very Well, the decision is made that we will begin opening communication with Britain, but what are we to do with the rebels?" Questioned the Premier.

"We give them an option, leave the country free through Hong Kong or India. Or we can put them to work on the labor camps - but that may hinder our new found friendships."

"Right, deport the rebels and guarantee their freedom." Responded the Premier without hesitation.

Chinese border to Hong Kong, March 31st, 1952

The Chinese trucks approached the border to Hong Kong. To any Tommy sentry this may of seemed like the Chinese sending troop transports to blockade the city. Instead, they were filled with priceless Chinese commodities. The lead truck had even been adorned with a crossed Chinese and British flag, symbolising a possible friendship with Britain. The trucks stopped just before the city, before a British checkpoint guarded by regular soldiers.

"These goods are gifts from our beloved Premier" Came the voice from a Chinese soldier, as he requested permission to enter the city. The soldier, unarmed approached the British checkpoint, with a letter. He handed it peacefully to the Guard, and it read:

Code: Select all
Please forward this message to the Governing body of the Territory of Hong Kong. Please then relay this communique to the Prime Minister's office in London.

China is not your enemy, King George. We are a suffered nation that wants to rid the rebels of their suffering, and allow them new lives outside of our borders. Hong Kong is recognised as British territory, and we have no ambition to stoke a fire with Brittania. We wish to coincide with Britain with diplomacy, peace and friendship. Please accept these commodities as the olive branch of our new friendship.

Premier Gao Ming Xi.

After the battle of Dresden news of the revolt spread like wild fire though occupied Germany and Austria. There were even other rebel groups unknown to Wilhelm in Hannover,Munich,Dusseldorf,Hamburg and Potsdam. All of these cities were guarded with a loose grip from the soviets and were under siege by resistance fighters by March 16. After these cities were under German control he would regroup with the other forces and commence operation Deutsch und österreichischen Befreiung (German and Austrian liberation)By now the German Nationalist Army had a size of over four hundred thousand soldiers.
March 20 6:39PM
8 miles outside of Berlin

The Potsdam and Dresden Korps had linked up at a village several miles outside of their beloved capital city Berlin. There was a strong force of twenty three thousand men in tanks on foot and artillery and planes ready to support. Like all of the resistance battles the Germans wanted to cause the least collateral damage as possible to avoid injury to the city and the civilians. This would be the most important battle of the German war for independence. This was one of the last strong points for the Red Army in all of the German/Austrian region. The Russians had fortified the field entering Berlin with concrete tank blocks, guard towers and many machine gun nests lined up to meet Germany's Blitzkrieg. The attack force wnet in full charge upon the Russian defenses. The infantry took cover behind the concrete blocks as tanks rained hell on the positions they could.
March 20 7:42PM
Berlin city limits

about half of the Russian machine gun nests had fallen to the German infantry and tanks. So far the Red Army was succeeding in their defense of their enemy's capital but the Germans could still call on the Luftwaffe to bomb the area. They did just that 10 jet fighter-bombers shrieked over the defenses dropping payloads of bombs on the weary infantry and returned to their base camp. It was now about 8:30PM night grew and the Germans had hopped the Russian defenses. Only one tenth of the tanks were able to get through the fortifications. After they breached the defenses they had reached the streets of the city which were now quiet as German civilians stayed in their houses and Russian guards planned ambushes on the patrolling Germans.
March 20 9:10PM
Berlin streets

It was now time for street fighting as Soviets ambushed the German patrols and convoys. By 10:00 what was left to willingly resist the German attack had retreated to the City hall or the Reichstag. The Reichstag was the last hope of Russian victory for the Second Battle for Berlin but their victory would be impossible. Menschen took 500 men and 10 of the least damaged tanks to help with the charge on the Reichstag. The Reichstag had been adapted for Russian use for the general that would command Soviet forces in the region. 10:30PM 40 Tired and Fearful Soviet troops defended the steps and columns of the Reichstag and about 200 outside defending the plain leading towards it.
March 20 10:40PM
The Reichstag

The Germans charged the Russian line before the Reichstag. The Russians hid behind sandbags but were quickly put down by the German armor. The Russians guarding the front of the building fought hand to hand with German infantry. The Russians were executed brutally and the Germans walked slowly into the capital builing to find communications crews telephones, telegrams and radios every where. The Germans cleared the Great building and the soldiers left the capitol building cheering, hugging eachother and just celebrating the reclamation of their capital. Civilians woke up to the soldiers waving flags and cheering as they rode through the streets with tanks and cars. The next morning the new self proclaimed Chancellor of Germany gave a moral building speech to the crowd of thousands before the Reichstag. "Today is the beginning of the end! The Deutschland has been liberated from communism. We are now independent again and together we can grow stronger then Germany has ever been before,Even though our economy has been ruined along with our cities and our lives we can work together for a better future for the Deutschland! for the Reich!" The crowd cheered wildly at the Chancellor's speech as two soldiers rose the German imperial flag on the two flag poles outside of the Reichstag. Though Germany had been liberated their still lied Austria, Germany's blood brother was in need of freedom so the new Fuhrer had ordered the commander of the Bavarian Korps near the Austrian border to cross and reclaim Vienna. Though Germany was a country in ruins Wilhelm had plans to revive the German economy and it war machine. he would commence government funded work programs to rebuild the ruined German cities and start a porgram for farms to encourage farming agian and that the government would buy the crops for the military. One step at a time Germany would be on its feet again.

Anakra, The Great Republic of the Ottomans
March 31st 1952

"Who are the Western powers to say what we can or cannot do?! The British. The French. The Americans." The man spit and the crowd cheered. "We are all Ottomans. We WILL be reunited with our brethren. They had no right to dismantle the Ottoman Empire, so we shall revive her. Once again the Ottoman people will be the superior race. We will not back down. Not to the Whites. Not to the Blacks. Not to the Christians or the Jews. Islam will spread from Tokyo to Washington. Allow them to fight with each other; let the enemy tear themselves apart. The Ottoman will rise from the ashes and strike down all who opposes him. As for those who stand in our way, or those who refuse to join us? They will be dealt with. Long Live the Ottoman People!" The crowd shouted the reply that was growing in popularity, "Long Live Ohmet, Sultan of the Turks!" Ohmet bowed and stepped back from the podium.

Small village, 50km from Anakra, The Great Republic of the Ottomans
Later that night...

A long day of tending to his heard had driven the farmer to bed. He happily grabbed his pillow and began to snore. His family home was filled with silence until it was interrupted by a *fomp*. The farmer immediately grabbed his rifle next to his bed. Robbers.. he thought to himself. As he went to shake his wife to awake her, his bedroom door was kicked down and armed men with hidden faces stormed in. As the farmer raised his weapon, he was shot in the face by one of the men.

Through out The Great Republic of the Ottomans, members of Ohmet's regime were rooting out those who had worked against them. Some were jailed, some deported; most, however, were executed along with their families.

April 5,1952
5 miles outside of Vienna,Austrian occupied territory 11:14AM

German tanks from the Bavarian Korps from Munich crossed the treacherous mountains of Austria to get to Vienna. Neither the native Austrians or the Russians have been active in the region so the German army expected little resistance. The Munich army was newly supplied with gear made from the new German factories and the attack force of five thousand men and fifty tanks rushed through villages and towns to begin the siege on the Austrian capital of Vienna. When the Bavarian Korps reached the town there was already a line of T-34s ready to meet opposition though they were heavily outnumbered. The small tank skirmish outside the city did a number on the offense and the defensive sides. The unexpected opposition from the Soviets still did not match the German Blitzkrieg. The city limits were quickly breached and the defense force of roughly 10000 Soviets were poorly equiped and supply due to the distance from Russia. The Austrians were starving because the Soviets not only punished the Germans the exact same way but had to deal with the mountainous terrain and the cold weather it brought in the winter. A majority of the Soviet force surrendered at the sight of the German tanks and the Austrians were cheering in the street for the arrival of liberation. The city was under full control of the Fourth Reich by the next day.
April 6,1952
Berlin,Germany

Now that Germany was a legitimate nation and the Fourth Reich had risen Wilhelm Menschen now needed to provide for his people. He would do this by opening up trade relations with the United States of Scandinavia and the Great Ottoman Republic in the hope of acquiring resources to supply the German people.Wilhelm's Foreign policy was in the scope of crushing the Soviet Union and erasing their tyranny from this earth but he also thought to keep himself isolated from western nations like Western Europe,United State of America and The British COmmonwealth while building trade and hopefully military alliances with Scandinavia and The Ottomans while keeping steady trade with China and South America. But in his office he wrote The Ottomans and Scandinavia a telegram asking to open up relations.

Dear,Great sultan Ohmet and Most honorable leader of Scandinavia
As you may have heard I have led my people to independence from the Soviet Union. We have Reunified ourselves as one nation and wish to insert ourselves beck into the world stage. I wish to accomplish this by trade relations with your two great nations and with the possibility of gaining new allies in this new world of uncertainty. Now I ask divided our nations will tremble to communism but together we are strong. I ask not of you to help me in my fight against the Soviet Union but to have a certain ally in a time of doom please consider my offer.

Oslo, United Scandanavia

Premier Nivski was sitting at his desk, reading a report from Rear Admiral Kent when an aide came in, bearing urgent news from look on his face.

" What is it, Peter? The Soviets haven't attacked, have they?" said Nivski, who was slightly alarmed.

" No sir. The Quartined State of Germany has rebelled against that Stalinist state of have declared independence. They have sent a telegram meant only for your eyes," replied the aide Peter. Nivski took the telegram and read it silently. A smile crept into the Premier's lips. "This is quite an oppurtunity. I will reply immediately."

I accept your entreaties of alliance. I can send a representative to confirm detail or if you wish, I can arrange for my self to come. My country is no friend of the Soviets, as after the war they took away the state of Finland from Scandanavia. I hope this will dawn a new age of freindship in the desolate war.

Sincerely,

Premier Petroy Nivski

Beijing, United Republics of China, April 21st, 1952

China was now under the sweep of 'cleansing' the rebellion from the mainland. Most rebels were migrated to India or if accepted, British controlled Hong Kong. The Premier sat in his office, pleased with the results - he was getting rid of the rebels, but without needless bloodshed. All of a sudden, the door swung open to the Premier's office, and in came Foreign Secretary Anji Fuu. "Your Premiership, I apologise for interrupting - but we have a situation in Germany."

The Premier rised "A situation, Mr. Fuu?"

"Yes Sir, the Fourth Reich has successfully rebelled from Soviet occupation, and they have established control of the government."

The Premier paused for a moment - pondering whether or not to intervene. "Send this message to their leader, I see opportunity on the horizon."

"Yes Sir" Replied the Secretary, as he awaited the Premier to begin his message.

Whilst we are concerned of a newly established Fourth Reich, it is in the United Republics of China's interests to trade openly with your new government. We request that the German Army cooperate with the Republic Army in training to a professional standard in the Air, Naval and Land force. In return, we will trade the resources of Coal and Iron Ore unrestricted to your nation. You will also have the guarantee that China will remain completely neutral as to what your nation chooses to do so in the future.

10 Downing Street, London, UK
"Christ Almighty" said the PM as he wiped his head. "Events are moving too fast, far too fast, First this rebellion in Germany manages to throw of the Soviets and now they are forming alliances with the Scandanavians, and the Turks. They could undermine our southern flank in the med you know this?" he asked the defense secretary.
"Well sir we have put the bulk of the fleet, including most of the heavy ships to sea and are dispersing them across the world. By next week we will have one carrier based at Malta with two battleships, and another three battleships at Cyprus. We have another aircraft carrier here and 4 more at sea around GB, and a battleship in Jamaica. At Singapore we have 5 battleships and 2 aircraft carriers plus 2 Australian carriers." explained the Defense Secretary. "What we need is to call the Territorial Army up faster and deploy more regulars abroad. My recommendation is another 20,000 to the Med, and 30,000 to the Far East. Combined with teh 40,000 we've already deployed that leaves 150,000 regulars here, mostly concerntrated round London."
"Right right, get me the Home Secretary and the Medditerranian Affairs Secretary here at once."
Governor's Mansion, Hong Kong
"Well what do we do with this letter? It could be a throw off." said General Ibraham. "For all we know this could be a trick of some sort to distact us."
"The most important thing is do we forward this to London or not?" asked Governor Lord Sellen. "Can we get the Far East Secretaries district office on the line please?"
"One moment sir" responded an orderly.
"In the meantime, how do we respond to this? I have word from Dehli that we are ramping up covert activity with the rebels and we cannot allow the communists to win China, heck after the news in Europe it looks like another clash between dictators."
"Well you're not going to beleive what I am going to tell you next. Intel intercepted a diplomatic message to the Premier and the new German Reich is looking to make friends with the Chinese." said the general."
Just then the phone rang and the Governor picked it up.."Hello...right right...well we have a letter from them...you heard?...okay..well they are also trying to have relations with the new Germans...You will? very good...God Save the King."he hung up and said to the general, "He's forwarding our intel to London. The Prime Minister will call shortly."
10 Downing Street, London, UK
"Damn dmn damn," swore the PM. "They have the audacity to not only offer peace but then begin trade with the fascists!?"
"Sir, we must act swiftly to neuralize the threats," said the Defense Secretary.
"Very well issue the following orders: 1. Ask for an audience with the King to establish a Special War Committe on the Privy Council, 2. I am forming a War Cabinet to better manage the situation, 3. order general mobilzation, and send missive to the USE asking their thoughts on the situation. Dismissed"

Anakra, The Great Republic of the Ottomans
April 21st 1952

"This is why I hereby declare that the Turks will no longer sit around, bending over to whoever comes our way. As we speak, Turkish troops are landing in Greece. That is correct, we have launched an invasion of Greece. The Ottoman people will be united once more. Long Live the Ottomans!" The Sultan boomed to the crowd, "Long Live Ohmet, Sultan of the Turks" the crowd boomed back. Ohmet bowed, then left the podium.

It had been a month since he had seized power, killing those political opponents who stood in his way. Then it had come to a point: What to do? Ohmet longed to have a reunited Ottoman Empire, and he looked to reincarnate it anyway possible. He walked into his council chambers; the council arose and bowed. "Grand Marshal, what is the situation in Greece?"

"Great Sultan, our troops march to victory! We have overwhelmed the defenses of Crete, and the four Infantry divisions are landing as planned. On the mainland, we have split the nation in half. Central Greece, Attica, West Greece and Peloponnese all have several divisions landed within, as well as the ten divisions that landed in Albania. The Great Air Force has smashed the Greco-planes and the bombardment of the major cities has begun. A naval bombardment on Athens follows our defeat of their despicable navy. Allah has handed us a victory, Great Sultan."

To: Chancellor Wilhelm Menschen
From: The Great Ohmet, Sultan of the Turks

Chancellor Menschen,

I can only extend a trade agreement, but that is it. I will not anger the Soviet Union, one who we sent aid to during the war against the Fascists. While we stand independent of them, we must be aware of the proximity of them; also, the stain of history regarding the Great War that just occurred does not give me a good reason to support you. A Trade agreement is all that I can give.

Paris, France, USE

As his eyes passed over the letter, Charles De Gaulle, the President of the USE, could scarcely believe his eyes. These upstart German rebels were demanding the moon from France, and with absolutely nothing in return! "Never!" exclaimed De Gaulle, slamming his fist on the table in a rage. His eyes looked to be on fire, and several aides shrank back into the corners. But after a moment, he returned to his senses. "Something must be done. The Germans can't simply be permitted to march all over Europe again." He immediately turned to the task of writing a letter.

TO: King George VII of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Emperor of India, Defender of the Faith
FROM: President Charles De Gaulle of the United States of Europe
ENCRYPTION: ULTRA VERY HIGH

Dear King George VII,

As I'm sure you know, the Germans have recently had the nerve to rebel. While I am the first to lead a charge against the Soviets, we must also keep in mind the ramifications that a revived Germany, which has already begun demanding territory, will have. Therefore, I must propose that our nations, seemingly the only ones able to quash this threat in the face of Soviet complacency, must strike now while Germany is weak and in its vile infancy. You may always count on Europe's aid in any war; so I ask that you return the favor here. In addition, every effort should be made to draw the United States into the scheme of things. And finally, there is the matter of Italy. We wish to admit them, in two components- Tuscany and Neapolitania into our Union. This will give to us a fresh pool of men for our burgeoning army, as well as ensuring that the Soviets do not attempt to gain custody.

Sincerely,
(Image)

10 Downing Street, London
"WHAT THE HELL? THE TURKS ARE DOING WHAT? spat out the PM. "They have the sheer cheek to invade Greece? This offense shall not stand! They must either withdraw or face war with the Empire!"
"Sir we are moving what forces we have in the region to Greece and Crete. In the meantime we need land forces in bulk shipped there rapidly." shot back the Defense Secretary. "We are sending what ships we can as fast as they can. Ah here comes Foreign Secretary Harold Fullman."
"I got your call and rushed right over. It appers the situation is dire. I suggest we send letters to the Turks and Chinese and ful let them know what our position is in regards to their promised peace. Also HM recived a personal letter from the USe of some interest."
"Send a reply as fast s you can, and make it promising."
TO: President de Galle
FROM: HM Government
RE: Europe
SIR,
The empire thanks you for its support and offers its willingness to aid in the event in war. However we do not view the new United Germany to be a threat. Rather it is advantagous that they preoccupy the Russians in this miniwar they have going on. Keep them in diplomatic wrangling over the Rhineland as we will settle that later. The empire view the new Turkish empire ot be a threat. s such we ask that you send troops into Italy and the North Balkans to check any dvance to be made by the Turks. They cannot become a major regional power in the Med or in Europe.

Signed,
Harold Fullman

April 22
Chinese airspace

A small Luftwaffe squadron carries supply planes carrying military gear and trade goods over Turkey,Iran and India to finally reach China. The squadron mat its final destination at an airfield in the outskirts of Beijing. Where they would meet Chinese Generals to escort them to the training grounds. The Germans had also brought outdated military gear from World War 1 and 2. Once the Germans got to the training ground they gave the gear to the trainers then they would distribute it among the troops and Germans would commence professional combat training.

Menschen had just heard news of the Ottoman's barbaric attack on Greece and Crete which were newly obtained colonies of his new ally Scandinavia.
Though he did not want war with Turkey he did not want to forsake is new ally either. He decided a military action was required and he sent a fleet down to the mediterranean sea to help his ally police his colony.

April 25th, 1952, Chinese Military Base outside of Beijing, United Republics of China,

Within days, the skill, discipline and fearful stance of the Fourth Reich had been pounded into the Chinese conscripts, who at this point were not better at killing their enemy than they were able to maintain a battle formation - but now they had been turned into merciless, ministers of death - praying for war. They were trained killers - ready for war. "How goes the training, General Boulder?" Asked the Premier in a rare visit to the training camp. "Very good, Your Premiership. Within months your rabble will have the courage of the fire breathing Dragon" Replied the General, mentioning his respect for Chinese mythology.

"Yes, General will you please bring your staff and join me in these private quarters?" The General nodded - and with the Premier's aides and his own, they retired to a secluded space by car.

20 minutes later, Undisclosed location,

"Thankyou for joining me and my staff, would you care for refreshment?" Mentioned the Premier as an entree of Chinese delicacy including tea and boiled rice was passed around, General Boulder helped himself to tea and rice, the rest only had tea. "As Germany is China's supreme ally, we can entrust great secret's with your government. As everyone knows, the recent invasion of Greece by the Ottoman Turks has forced Britain and her Western Allies into responding in droves. This has and will provide for the good of China, for once the Lion is out of its den the Dragon will strike with ease."

The Premier paused as he pulled a document from a desk. He then placed the aforementioned document on the table.

"And we will strike first, at Hong Kong. For too long have the British embarassed our gracious land by disturbing it's beauty with it's Western provisions. The time for diplomacy with Britain has long passed, that foolish King George will never see that Britain does not belong here. So we will provide the enlightenment for him. All we ask is for Germany's continued support into training our forces and hopefully, eventually alying themselves with the Pax Asian Alliance - born out of success and strife of the new, Chinese Empire."

General Boulder paused for a moment, whilst the Premier awaited his response.

OOC: I only want Germany to know of what i plan now - meaning only Preven knows what is happening

April 25,1952
Undisclosed location

General sat at the table smoking his cigarette look as the eager Premier awaited a response to the information given.
My government told me this before I left they said "Hans, do not make any groß decisions there. All we want you to do is oversee the training of the Chinese forces." "My leader is a very smart man, he does not want another war with the west but he also wants all the allies he can get outside of it, All I can say is that Wilhelm wants our two glorius nations to have great diplomatic relations, So the training and supplying will continue to the end but we will not provoke war with the British but I will not inform anyone besides my leader of this meeting. So im leaving the decision to him."
