Login Problems/Password Issues/Security Check

Postby Wreaker » Sun Feb 12, 2012 4:09 pm

Hey,
So I just logged in and it says that there have been 4 attempted logins on my nation, so I then proceeded to try to change my password to something even more secure, but it says that I have failed the security check when I do that. Help me! I don't know what's going on, but this is bad...

Thanks much.

Write it down there.

In the offchance a mod sees it here. I also read this one( viewtopic.php?p=8427125#p8427125 ) with a similar issue :eyebrow:

8. Size matters. Bigger is forbidden and won't give the mods pleasure.

It should work if you logout, login, click Settings, change your pw, click "Update."

Please let me know if this works. If it does, but however you normally tried doesn't, please say the exact steps you're performing, and which browser & OS you're using.

I just tried what you told me to do in that exact order. It didn't work.

After performing those exact steps, and it not working, I logged out and then logged in again with what my again-new password would be was, and it signed me in.

Right now I'm on a Mac OS X, version 10.5.8.

This is happening on both Opera and Chrome.

What do you mean by "my again-new password"? Do you mean that even though you got the "failed a security check" error, it did seem to change your password?

I also logged in today to find 4 bad login attempts, but decided to not change my password. Could it possibly be a bug in the system?

It was an extremely broken script being run by a player, which has been taken down now.
