The Autocracy in general supports classical music with heavy piano emphasis, as it ties in with our general high regards of dances like the 'waltz' and fine drinking of non-alcoholic wine beverages. Blues and jazz is also popular as it promotes creativity in our highly policed society and shows the people the government still cares and allows such forms of music to be played.

In the working of Syleruias, country and soft rock are popular as the lowly folk enjoy working with a soft tune instead of a varied orchestra of instruments that is present in the popular classical music.

The only policies in my nation that I agree with are it's religious freedom and environmental sanctity policies. Do not think that I'm an anti-LGBT, dystopian repressive isolationist fascist and what have you mastermind trying to mask a greater goal under hordes of advertisements, propaganda and policing.
In short, my nation is a highly policed strict, seemingly utopian autocracy with an almost religious environmental fetish.

Dagnian popular music is a mix of modern rock and pop music with some Middle Eastern and North African influences.

Here are some examples of what Dagnian music might sound like-
These first two are mostly unavailable outside of Dagnia because they are geared almost entirely to Dagnian tastes:

These last two are geared for the interstellar market and have achieved some popularity in spite of being in Dagnian and not English, still the preferred language of music in the galaxy:

Any type of rock music is usually what we listen to.

It is illegal to play techno or rap on sunday. If you are caught doing so you will have to pay a fine of $500.

The only time were techno music is socially accepted is in nightclubs. But it is against the law for nightclubs to play more than 40 minutes of techno music each night.

The only time rap is socially acceptable is in rap competitions. There is no swearing aloud in rap competitions if you are under 21 years of age. Doing so can get you a fine of $350 or 3 hours community service.

Bartaria wasn't quite known for its music scene until relatively recently. Before the 880s (with the current year being 890), by and large the popular music was classic rock and 80s pop. However, in 883 (colloquially known as "the year the ska bomb went off") a group of influential DJs and reggae artists grew tired of the status quo and, seeking to give Bartaria a much different flavor of music, banded together and resolved to begin airing strictly ska music over the radio in many different cities. The Toasters and The Specials were the first of the ska bands to debut on the nation's airwaves, with initial responses being lukewarm to relatively dancehappy. By the following year, Madness' "One Step Beyond" was introduced, and as soon as the first note of Lee Thompson's crunchy saxophone was heard, it became the catalyst for the Bartarian ska craze. Later that year, the northern midland city of Outcestenshire hosted the largest gathering of ska-heads and rude boys in the region, and the annual Skamageddon Festival was born.

After a notable dip in the reggae beat's popularity in the latter part of the decade (when indie music and punk briefly held sway for a few years), ska is currently enjoying a healthy comeback, and the "Second Wave" of Bartarian Ska is currently in full swing. That being said, there is also a very healthy underground scene of punk and post-punk, mostly born as a counter-culture to all the aforementioned ska. In addition, many talented and successful dub artists have come from the coastal city of Sanertia, as well as some heavy rock and skate punk groups hailing from cities such as Wheyeliss, Groovegas, and Fremont. New Seattle also plays host to a very tight-knit grunge scene (of course :P ).

Classical music is popular, as well as popular songs from other countries. Generally, any song with a good melody has a large chance of popularity in the Kingdom.
