The Union of
Moskverian Socialist
Republics
2012, Today marks the dissolution of
the Union of Moskverian Socialist Republics.
The government of the UMSR has officially declared
the end of the Planned economy in Moskveria.
Private enterprise will soon be established, however
privatised, formerly state-owned, industries shall be
organised as cooperatives.
Not all industry shall be privatised, with areas such
as healthcare and education remaining under
public ownership.
"We established Socialism in to bring happiness and
wealth to the people. However, the people are miserable
and poor." Said Premier Vladimir Zhukovsky.
"The system must be fundamentally changed to bring
prosperity back to the people, and the people should
not be forced to accept Communism until they are
ready and willing."
Following reforms free elections shall soon be held, and
non-communist parties will be able to participate.
Furthermore, a capitalist economy shall be built to bring
prosperity and encourage trade.
"As we build a new society we shall be sure to avoid
the mistakes made, both in the past and recently, by
other capitalist societies, to ensure that we do not make
those same mistakes." Announced Premier Zhukovsky.
