Sunday Night... Jousting?

Next week February 12th 2012 at 10pm (Eastern US time) on the History Channel will be the first time in history that a national network will televise for real no shit JOUSTING with dudes in armor riding horses and hitting each other with blunted lances in the United States. It will certainly be novel but will it catch on? Can it compete with AMC's The Walking Dead which also airs in the same timeslot? Anyone gonna tune in? Will you be at least wanting to see it?

I'm kinda hyped honestly even though I will be at work when it premiers I hopefully catch it when it re-airs at about 1 am. I wanna see it at least once.

History Channel has been an embarassment lately. So long as they keep the reality TV out of this, it should be good. For a while. Even this medievalist would tire eventually from seeing guys hit each other like that. Now, swordfighting, archery duels, or quarterstaff sparring...
