Rebel forces reached Geratu seven hours after Kannapian soldiers were deployed. The city is being battled for fiercely. 20,000 Kannapian soldiers are facing an estimated 64,000 rebels. The city is being attacked by home made bombs the rebels seem to have a large quantity of. The rebels seem to be aiming to conquer the northern half of the city before even considering advancing into the southern half of the city. The Kannapian army has pulled back into the southern half of the city and gunfire can be heard across the city.
Amy Anderetti is in southern Geratu right now and is reporting to us what she saw when was in northern Geratu. "Hello, yes, I am Amy Anderetti and I am standing in front of the post office in southern Geratu. I was in northern Geratu just about twelve minutes ago before we were forced to flee to southern Geratu for safety by the Kannapian military. The rebels, however, did not seem to try to hurt us. Screams could be heard across the area though. It was a common sight to see Kannapian soldiers pushing northward and being attacked by hidden rebel fighters. The rebels seem to have been planning this for a long time. There is no Presbyterian church left standing in northern Geratu, they seem to be burning them all down in anger at the Presbyterians in government positions and they seem to be attacking Presbyterians. All the Presbyterian people are being evacuated from southern Geratu and the churches are being guarded by troops. It is believed that there is about 60,000 Presbyterians behind enemy lines in northern Geratu. While we were in the northern part of the city, we saw rebels shooting and killing civilians that we believe to be Presbyterians. As of right now, we do not know how many of these people are still alive in the northern part of the city, but every so often we see one running into our side of the city, and they are welcomed and added to the evacuating people."
Reports are also coming from across the nation as Presbyterian people are being targeted across Kannap. The known death total so far is 1,230 Presbyterians and we cannot be sure whether or not this is accurate but we are certain this number is only going to rise. The Kannapian military is mobilizing troops to decide what to do, meanwhile the government continues to insist that they will not negotiate with the rebel traitors.
Premier Jeremy Andersson is now making an Address to the Nation: "People of Kannap, this is a defining moment in our history as to how we treat our citizens and what freedoms they can have. Our government currently stands as a government that promotes freedom and the Presbyterian church has members of their congregation in our government. They have the freedom to have political positions and we will not revoke their freedom to do so. We will not negotiate with these rebels and we demand that they cease their actions against the government immediately. Citizens near the combat zones should evacuate immediately, especially if members of the Presbyterian church of Kannap. Citizens that are in the vicinity of the rebel area should not be concerned if airplanes fly overhead, this is just a scheduled practice flight of these planes. They will not attack the rebel forces and the rebel forces have no equipment to attack the aircraft."
Presbyterian citizens in the city of Royale are currently being gathered into their churches by the Kannapian army. We do not know the strategy behind these actions. We assume that the people are being relocated to their churches to be told evacuation plans. There are an estimated 600,000 Presbyterians in the city of Royale and about 1,000 Presbyterian churches in the city.
