Our people are fiercely secular and liberal. Not religious in the slightest.

The government is secular by law.

Parthia is exceptionally religious, roughly 97% of people belong to some religious group, with the vast majority consisting of Zoroastrians.

Highly Religious. The people put God above the state and therefore give themselves up for one another which causes the good of the state. Our people look down on other, more secular nations whose foolish population has no faith. This way of thinking has given our nation of Prussland one of the strongest militaries of the world, if not the most well trained, because of the well rounded aspects of our soldiers lives. It has also invited scientists and poets and artists from across the world to come and study and learn in our acadamies and institutions to create one of the smartest peoples on earth. They understand that the laws of science only prove God more and laugh because they can not comprehend why anyone would think that it would prove otherwise. And they understand that the reason for so much suffering in the world isn't because God has turned away or doesn't exist but its because our sins, and the sin of Adam, which has stained us all. And his sin was the knowledge of good and evil, in other words to judge. That is why our people try not to judge others at all.

In Bavin, churches are taxed along the same lines as insurance companies, and megachurches are subject to antitrust legislation. However, a recent poll found that only 30% of the country identified themselves as "non-religious".

The constitution enshrines Meinverden as a secular state and forbids an official religion. Many citizens of Meinverden are members of some church or another, though few regularly attend mass or commune or whatever gathering their church may regularly hold. Tele-preachers and evangelists are scoffed at as being "ludicrous" and nonsensical, as are those who seem fanatical. Irreligious beliefs are becoming more commonplace and are promoted not only by scholars and politicians, but by Crown Prince Alexander Himself.

Recently, Prince Alexander attended a televised faith healing in order to show there was no ill-will between the "highest servant of the state" and the "highest servant of God" over the hugely secular tone of the new constitution. The tele-preacher attempted to "heal" His Serene Highness in the same manner he would attempt to do so with any attendee by smacking the Prince on the forehead and shouting "YOU HAVE BEEN HEALED!" The Prince swayed but refused to fall as others did, blinking a few times instead. His bodyguard promptly tackled the preacher.

We opt for Option #3: spiritual.

Most Almajoyese are practicing Christians, but they are also Almaiya, a traditional spirituality that teaches that all things, whether living or inanimate, have souls.

Spirituality is very different from religion, especially in the case of Almaiya: In Almajoya, pressing your religious or spiritual beliefs is frowned upon. There are churches in Almajoya, but they pay taxes just like any other organization. Almaiya does not condone the building of structures in its name; instead, it teaches that the "temple" or "church" is in one's heart.

The Korintari people are very religious. We do promote religious freedom as it is well in line with the democratic principles of Korintar. There are some localities that do have a local state religion, but that was by choice of the residents. We used to have a state sponsored church traces of which can still be found in our legal system and courts, which are gradually becoming more secular, even if the legal system has not done so as much.

It's highly doubtful that anyone could see Santheres as secular. Spirituality envelopes most facets of life, such that our agnostics (presumed to number at least 10%, likely higher) can't actually be polled because they fill in surveys as members of an identifiable religion, being spiritual themselves. Santheres has no constitution or national charter, so there is nothing declaring the state secular, either.

The people themselves are typically religious or at least openly spiritual. They are also progressive, tending toward many "leftist" and "liberal" ideals, which place them in a category of having a similar population to those from social democracies.

Spiritual...
Almost all members of the population will acknowledge that there are genuine 'supernatural' elements to reality (after all, we have shabears & other mystics whose abilities demonstrably do work...), and most of those would agree that some deity (or deities) must exist too. However fanaticism is very rare, and it's far from unknown for people to be devout members of two (or, less frequently, more) separate religions at the same time on the basis that these are "equally valid paths to the Higher Truth"...
