Tim Tebow

Postby Tebowpolis » Tue Dec 06, 2011 6:00 pm

I've noticed a lot of people hate on Tim Tebow in the sports world (aka ESPN). Anyone have an opinion on that? or what they think about him?

Though I'm sure I know your opinion, it's considered polite to give it in the OP.

Oh. I've never even heard of them. Sorry. I only watch Ravens games with any kind of regularity.

While I respect and admire his faith, it gets annoying. For all I know he could be the most sincerest guy out there, but when you pray in public, make frequent references, you come off as self-righteous.

Footballwise, fuck him and anybody else except da Bears.

I viewed his regular expressions of faith a little differently after he actually went on to talk about why he does it.

I definitely respect his work ethic though, to the point that I wish I had such a work ethic.

He doesn't seem like a stellar QB, but hes doing better than Cam Newton...

In the wins column, yes.. Although Newton has him beat in pass yards. But which would YOU rather have?

Cam Newton, because he's just as fast as Tebow. Throw the same talent around Cam and he'd be 9-3 now. I'd rather be set up for long-term success than luck out like the Lions in '07.

Tebow, if I'm Denver. He doesn't throw an interception for every TD he makes.

What talent is around Tebow? Explain that one? Denver has traded their marquee WR in recent years. Tebow has NOBODY.

Von Miller and Dumervil on defense? Mcgahee on offense?

For all the haters out there saying than Tim is flaunting his faith, try reading the yahoo article on Troy P from the Steelers. He prays in the game, during plays, and in the huddle.

The only people I see whining about Tebow's faith are the people who hate his success.

I'm a die hard Florida State Seminole. I am also a teacher/AF reservist at a school in Florida that Tebow destroyed in the FHSAA playoffs 6 years ago. I rooted against him then, I rooted against him in college, and since he spanked my teams on multiple occasions, I am no longer rooting against him. I am in his corner 100% and a Tebow fan.

How is praying in public at all inappropriate..? He's not forcing anyone else to pray..

I did not like Florida when he played for them. I do not like him now as a result. I also just don't like the broncos either(chargers fan).

Neither of which are WR's. Newton has Steve Smith.

From what I've read from the past comments Tim Tebow is an American footballer who wins games for Denver (that's in Colorado. See, I know my American Geography ^_^ ). So... I am going to say he is a good guy :-S I have no clue who he is, sorry.

Moot point if your throwing motion is as bad as Tebow's and he only throws eight passes a game in a run-balanced offense.

Sorry, but its true that Carolina has struggled under his leadership. I'm not saying I'm a huge Tebow fan, when it comes to Western teams, they're all the same to me(except the Raiders).

Better yet, Ray "Ax Murderer" Lewis or the "Minister of Defense" himself.

I don't mind religious football players, but Tebowing is simply annoying. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that God has better things to worry about than sports; then again, the Cubs haven't been to a World Series in over a century...

He's the best quarterback we've had since the days when Delhome was good. He's broken record(s) in his rookie season. Last year we could barely get any points on the board, now we're keeping up for once. The only reason we aren't doing so well is because our defense can't stop anybody.

We're it not for Philip rivers, I'd probably cheer for the raiders.
