As I am sure you are aware by the news, there has been a coup d'etat in the capital city of Fineberg. We had hoped that the furor would die down soon, but unfortunately what has developed is a full scale civil war. While approximately two hundred guests left the first day, there are still approximately 700 guests still at the hotel. The government has occupied part of it as a headquarters under the Martial Law act and has wired funds to our account; everything seems in order as the account is with Yohannes Bundesbank, one of the most reputable international banking firms. For a number of reasons I am very concerned with the situation and would like to ask for advice as to what policy the Hotel would like me to carry out.

First: the government occupation of part of the building means that it might become a target for attacks. This is of grave concern to me because of the possible threat to guests as well as of course damages to property and staff. While the behavior of the soldiers has generally been exemplary and they have requested general reservations at the Rivoli in order to prevent the guests from being unsettled by them, it is still highly irregular and disconcerting. On the other hand, they have also prevented any possibility of looting or militia disturbances of the hotel or its guests. In addition their military vehicles have damaged the parking areas somewhat and improvements will be required, though they have promised that they will look after damages themselves to our standard.

Second: there are several hundred guests at the hotel who have been forced to stay here as the government has not permitted them to leave while they are being investigated. They have not been harmed, and I have maintained the standards of hospitality and care of the hotel in spite of all outside circumstances. However I am concerned about charging these guests when they have in fact not chosen to stay at this time. While perhaps two hundred were staying as part of a vacation plan and would doubtless have still been here at this time, even they are approaching the time when their reservations will be over.

If I could have some address to these concerns, I would be most appreciative. If possible I might recommend Genovian diplomacy bearing a hand in this situation.

Finally, I would like to commend a number of members of our staff who have been working overtime for the past four days, which is on an attached list. I am proud to say that we have been doing our best to uphold the standards of hospitality and excellent service that have made us all honoured to work for this hotel.

After careful discussion with Majestic Corporation Board of Executives and reviewing our current projects abroad, I am pleased to say that the Board of Executives have voted to accept your proposal for the construction of 3 hotels in Romakov. In order to begin the purchasing of; land, existing buildings, materials and furnishings we decided to allocate to allocate $5 Million, for each hotel. This, therefore allocates a total of $15 Million for the investment project, as a whole, something which we are sure will aid your growing economy.

The hotels will be, in accordance with our investment policy, constructed/purchased/refurbished by local companies that are based in Romakov - which will help in the lowering of unemployment rates. As per our commitment to the world economy, and the Majestic Corporation Recruitment Policy, all staff for the Hotel will be hired locally, including the General Manager for the branch. In order to maintain our high standards, the Hotels in Romakov will be under the direction of a Deputy Chief Operating Officer.

The Hotel which will be located in our capital Winterburg is planned to move into this building which has been designed by the bet architects of Romakov and built by the best building firm in the country. It is ready for the Hotel to move in, as it was intended for the Palace Hotels, a local Hotel company, which due to financial reasons did not move in to the buding. Today we announce the unfortunate resignation of Mr. Terry Reddick, from our Board of Executives. Mr. Reddick has decided that he would like to concentrate on the advancement of service and quality within the Majestic Hotel Venta Silurum, and has therefore taken up the post of General Manager. We would like to take this opportunity to thank him for all his service, whist he has sat on the Board of Executives.

We are however pleased to announce that the Board of Executives have appointed Mr. Matthew Edison as the Chief Operating Officer of Majestic Hotels (International). Mr. Edison will lead our international hotels and the staff teams who are employed within them, alongside the national and regional directors. Mr. Edison has spent the last 14 years working for Majestic Corporation, as a Regional Director and then moved to become the National Director in September 2013, we would like to wish him all the best in his new post.

To join Mr. Edison, we are announcing that Mr. Andrew Monréal has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of Majestic Hotels (Commonwealth). Mr. Monréal will be heading the hotels and staff teams within the Commonwealth of Gyflada. We wish him the best of luck in his post.
