Opinion of Kansas

Postby Alexlantis » Tue Oct 25, 2011 8:26 pm

So, basically, give your opinion of the center of America, one of the flattest states on the globe, and America's breadbasket: Kansas!

It's a state of the USA with the smaller Kansas City and it's near Missouri.

It doesn't come up in the news much.

I wouldn't have an opinion since I have never been there.

Um...

Can't buy a beer there on Sundays. Was vehemently anti-slave pre-Civil War. Grows a lot of wheat and raises a lot of cattle. Has one of the more (in)famous 'wild west' towns: Dodge City. The birthplace of the Volstead Act? (in any case, I believe Kansas was one of the point states in the temperance movement)

Don't really like it much. I also didn't like South Dakota, Indiana and Iowa.

Well, I've never been there so I don't know what its people are like and what the environment is like, having not experienced it.

I will say, that their priorities are extremely fucked, any state that decriminalizes Spousal Abuse before Marijuana to deal with prison overcrowding has something seriously wrong with it.

As well, it has produced some of the most hateful annoying people I've ever had the displeasure of meeting, the Westboro Baptist Church.

It's Nightkill. He's been there so long he rents out rooms to other people at a flat rate, but demands cash up front.

It's probably like everywhere else, filled with good and bad people. Too flat for my liking though.

Seeing as the good Kansas City is in Missouri, I have to say that when your own city deserts you for another state, its a fair sign your state sucks.

I live in Kansas, and its ok. A bit boring, and a bit flat out west, but the eastern part of the state is not flat, not that I mind flat. I quite enjoy the wind out here, its pretty much always blowing. Moments where there is no wind are quite strange.

I know people at Hesston College.

They are good folk.

ConAgra seems to hire a lot of Vietnamese, and I say good for them.

I expect biofuels will give their economy a big boost.
