undoing/changing legislation

Postby Qoienes » Sun Aug 28, 2011 7:06 am

I didn't check my issues for the day, and one legislation I didn't agree with was passed. Is there a way I can change the government position on an issue after it has been passed by legislation?

You'll have to wait for the same issue to come around again, or to get a different one whose options also cover the same point in the way that you actually want.
The Confrederated Clans (and other Confrederated Bodys) of the Free Bears of Bears Armed
(includes The Ursine NorthLands) Demonym = Bear[s]; adjective = ‘Urrsish’.
Population = just under 20 million. Economy = only Thriving. Average Life expectancy = c.60 years. If the nation is classified as 'Anarchy' there still is a [strictly limited] national government... and those aren't "biker gangs", they're traditional cross-Clan 'Warrior Societies', generally respected rather than feared.

Yeah, that's too bad. I figured that might be true since I didn't see any options to change it.

Does anyone know the frequency or general times when issues pop up? Because my other nation already passed 3 legislation without my input.

Without your input? There's no way for NS to do that. You must have, at some point, selected an option.

If I offer criticism on your proposed issue, I will often write in red: don't think I'm being aggressive, it's just a convention I use!
If I ask a question on a proposed issue thread, then it's because I feel it's one you need to ask of your issue: I'm being Socratic and/or lazy.

I don't know: has anyone experienced what I was writing about? I thought over a period of time, if you don't take a position, it chooses one for you.

Does anyone know of something about when, like a certain time, issues pop up for your nation? So I know when to check it...

Check once a day and you will be fine. If you don't answer 5 issues and you get another issue it will dismiss one of the 5 precious issues (first unanswered one).

I found a way to alert you (somewhat) about current issues for your nation, without having to login.

In the side menu panel, go to -->Issues -->Subscribe --> Generate News Feed
I downloaded the Sparse rss for my Android phone form the market, and now the issues will give a notification on my phone instead of me checking the site all the time.

Thanks everyone for their input. :)
