How Many of you Communists are Actually Communists

Postby Anti Neo Nazis » Fri Jul 22, 2011 8:26 pm

I tend to avoid the NS forums, mostly because I don't want to completley lose faith in humanity, but in my few ventures here I've observed what appear to be a rather large contigent of completley serious, completley legitimate Communists. And I have to ask, ARE you people serious? Is there a person on here who believes that a system that has failed every single time it has been implemented, and took tens of millions of lives with it, could actually work better than a free market system? Or have I misinterpreted and you're all clever trolls?

State Socialism and imperialistic policies killed millions, not Communism. Communism=/=State Socialism, which means most of what you thiank as 'Communism' really isn't.

So a totalitarian state who supresses the flow of information and executes political prisoners is suddenly a sucess because they achieved some economic growth? Growth that was only achieved through opening up their markets. China resembles a fascist state more than a communist state. Most of that growth, by the way has been distributed to a select few citizens while the remaining hundreds of billions remain on their farms almost starving to death? The so called Communist utopia that has less equal income distribution than the evil capitalist imperialist of the west is apparently a success?

And you're naive enough to believe that the delusional Communist uptopian state that Marx invisioned would actually last? Every time someone has tried to implement that fantasy the same result happens. A totalitarian state where millions are executed and persecuted and the ones who don't starve.

I'm a Luxemburgist communist, and I disagree with every state that has had the nerve to call itself 'communist' when they've really been horrifying dictatorships that have more in common with any other one party state than they do with communism.
This was formerly a signature. One day, it may return to its splendid past. In the meantime, enjoy some pictures of my cats.

Friend every system has failed to do what it was implemented to do. Communism isn't any different. Even social democracies and all modern governments have failed to bring about the maximum happiness we desire.

So there is always ways to improve, communists believe communism to be no different. And your wrong, though not emphatically, that all communist societies have failed, many successful communes exist and technically speaking most avowed communists don't believe that the USSR and China among other "communist nations" were ever truly communist, I for one agree, though we would disagree on what they were in fact (some say State "Capitalist" I would instead call them Socialist or State Socialist), state socialist societies for their own measure haven't always failed either; Anarchist Catalonia and Yugoslavia, despite the former's destruction were somewhat successful as societies though Yugoslavia lagged behind Western Economies quite considerably they did manage to raise standards of living without wide-spread oppression, a success in it's own right. If not comparable to a free market society.

You should never assume about a person you've met on the internet by one post. I am entirely against communism, as I do not see how it could work on the global scale forever, it would probably break down. I was just refuting his claim that communism is a system that has been implemented before, which it wasn't on a large enough scale.

Theres a name for a system that maximizes the happiness of every single person in society. Its called heaven. And whether it exists is up for debate. As for getting as close to that point as possible, its clear that the Western style of mixed capitalism (I'm in no way advocating a pure capitalist system) has accomplished that.

It couldn't work in the form of states as which the world is currently organized. Globally, it would have to be anarchist.

But I always believed that people naturally seek order, for a leader to lead them, or for some a group to lead. because of this, I do not believe complete anarchy would be possible on the whole world.

Honestly, I don't either, but that seems to be the only possible way communism could work.

That's actually quite funny. You've been making huge generalisations, that clearly don't apply in every case (because generalisation rarely do)... but you reject any attempt to differentiate between specifics.

Don't even get me started on anarchism. The notion that that could ever work is just as silly as the notion that communism (whether it be the communism that we've actually seen, or the pipe dream modern day communists envision) could work.

this is another reason I am against communism, in its purest i was taught it required no government, anarchy, which I already regard as impossible.

Really now? Because, you know, society has never had functioning anarchist societies on a small scale before.
