Please note that if you do have MOD problems, take it to the real MOD section, remember this is a role play but follow the major rules, if you feel that your being flamed or something, check where it is directed to, if it is to our fictional RP name, then it is harmless, if it is to your Nation name, then it is something to be on the Mods notification. Also I am not really Geoff Desmoulin. Note your character is a normal member unless I give you permission, do not use your nation name.

Hello, Geoff Desmoulin here, welcome to the year of 2667, considering we made contact over many different universes, we managed to get internet connection to the new found nations, here we are more then welcome to answer questions and problems. To be specific, the purpose of this thread is to debate the matches that are going on and vote for who you think will win, over all the point is to have fun and not to worry.

Hello Geoff, and thank you for having me. For those of you who don't know I am a professor at the Tau Ceti university. I specialize in ancient military history primarily because I was there to see it. Yes, I'm 700 years old. I'll provide the details of my nations elite fighters, and weigh in on the others as well.

I sure hope not. We Kreanolthans use slipspace as our primary form of FTL travel. A few extra years on immortal isn't much to worry about though. So who else will be joining us tonight?

Hello, I am Nationalist 0417, and I specialize in military tactics. I'll explain everything you need to know about the Krakkian Nationalists, and vote on who I believe has the upper hand with the other forces.

I'll bite, I'm interested to see the outcome of a dual between a fully armed and armored European Knight, and fully armed and armored Japanese Samurai, also both combatants are equally matched in their respective martial arts. Who would win?

So anyway one to the business of the night. I think the Anglo-Saxon Light Infantry will carry the day. They have a smaller armory; this is true. However in my time studying military tactics it would seem that if a fighting force has simplified its armory it means that the weapons are very versatile and the force is adaptable. You can have the most specialized, compartmentalized, divisional force in the local cluster, but if it can't adapt it doesn't matter if you're in the Milky Way or Andromeda they will not win anything. I don't think that the more specialized 203rd Motorized Division infantry will be able to adapt'; certainly not as well as the AS Light. Another advantage I see is the AS Light's heavy use of long range snipers. They're willingness to enguage at close range will also help them. It does concern me that they seem to be weak at mid-range, but I doubt there will be enough of the 203rd to make it matter.

MT wise, refer to me as Imperial Japan, why? because I RP as a certain character that took the appearance of a Japanese man and I took over Japan and made a empire with it, got a problem? take it somewhere else.
And yes, we would be far worse than Nazi Germany if we controlled America so ha.

Normally, I would be inclined to agree with the Doctor. But in any large-scale encounter, I would have to go toward the 203rd. The LI are just undisciplined for anything other than small-scale squad fighting. But since this is based on squad-on-squad, and the seemingly large blind spot that Valaros pointed out in mid-range combat would be a significant drawback. Unless I am mistaken, most battles are not just fought behind behind the scope of a long-range weapon. The 203rd would have the advantage if they get close enough. Their lighter armor may not protect them as much, but it would make them much more mobile than the LI. Unless I'm missing something, I am going to have to go with the 203rd.

I will have to go with the 203rd Motorized division not just because of pride, but from my first hand experiences with the soldiers that form it. A squad on squad battle between these two groups of soldiers would be evenly matched, but since Bonnafulian military culture sees that there are not stalemates I would have to say the 203rd. The soldiers of the 203rd are trainned to fight against unorganized and undisciplined(rebels in the northern most sector in bonnaful), but they can quickly adapted to battle against a organized and discipline foe. I know the Al are a foe that are not to be underestimated, especially at long range. I will admit that we are in a bad spot in close quater combat, but I hope that our soldiers mid-range weapons will thin out the ranks of the AL. Our soldiers are trainned to fight with bayonets and what ever they can use at close range, and 203rd soldiers would be able to overwhelm the AL if we thin out their ranks. I will go more into tactics when we do the testing of the warriors.

To an extent, yes, I agree. However, the 203rd would have to avoid being thinned out on approach to the LI or with the LI is approaching them, whichever it is. If they can do that ad prevent the LI from breaking rank and locking them in close rang combat then I agree. A large part of the battle will depend on the 203rd's ability to keep the LI at mid-range, and minimize their ability to engage at extreme range or surging through the mid-range and engaging at close range.

However, I think this battle may be over before it begins if the LI are good enough marksmen.

OOC: I will have to dig to find all my stat sheet for a fireteam weapons. I made the app for a soldier on soldier fight.

Yes, but most of the engagements in the Northern region of Bonnaful can take place from 75 meters to up to 645 meters. The effective range of a LPHV 79 is 575m.A Bonnafulian soldier who has or is fighting in the Northern regions know how to advance quickly and with high lethally. There is a sniper team per squad, and the rifle they use would have a high possibly of cracking the AMUS armour. The sniper team will be the squad only effective way of dealing with long range engagements. If they are killed or wounded then the squad will have to advance. The VSK bullpup is the main sniper rifle and it chambers 12.7 x 54 mm and has a effective range of 600m. I know nothing about AL sniper trainning, but it most likely better then Bonnafulian trainning. On perfect terrain there will be a slim chance on the AL breaking mid-range with a squad of 203rd infantrymen that are in a position and are ready for any attack. No matter the strenght of armour that the AL wear it will crack under constant fire from LMGs and battle rifles. In urban, jungle, forest, mountian the AL have a whole lot better chance of breaking mid-point and tearing the 203rd to shreds.
