History of Sanhanæa
Pre-1852

In 1968, skeletons from the Sayei Region (Sanhanese: ஸயெஇகல், Sayeikal, Sayei: ཤིཡེི, Siyei) showed that the first people in Sahanaea arrived 251,400 years ago. Along with the skeleton, there were tipi rings, proving that the earliest people in Sanhanaea lived in Sayei. Over the years, they spread out to the plains of Sanhanaea, from the Sayei Mountains (Sanhanese: ஸயெஇகல் ஶன்யம Sayeikal Shanyama, Sayei: ཤིཡེིཆཧོ, Siyei Cho), and over time, various kingdoms thrived. However, other than the records discovered in 1968, nobody knows what happened, until 1852, when the British discovered Sahanaea.

1852 to 1958

When the British occupied it, the capital was at Yangoon, ruled by a King. Within days, the entire monarchy of Sahanaea fell to the British, and as such, during that time, for over a century, they were oppressed, with Sahanaeans having barely any rights, and the lands divided into 2. The current Sayei and Kyei regions were administered, as a protectorate, called the "Protectorate of Sayei and Kyei," (Sayei: ཕའསུངདེིཝའ་ཤིཡེིདོཁཡེི, Pasungdeiwa SiyeidoKyei, Kyei: Ashungde Siyeikal mae Kyeikal, Sanhanese: அஷுங்டெ சியெகல் மஎ க்யெஇகல், Ashungde Siyekal mae Kyeikal), while the remainder of Sahanaea became part of the British Raj (Sanhanese: ப்ரிதலஎ ஜ்ரஜ், Britalae Jraj). From 1852, to 1947, Sahanæa was part of the British Raj, while the Protectorate of Sayei and Kyei was free, with the British only administering its foreign affairs until 1947. Because of it, those who opposed British rule fled to Sayei and Kyei, where rights were equal. Despite that, in 1947, after the British Raj fell, with no Maharajas in the region, Sahanaea became a colony, called the Colony of Sahanaea (Sahanese: சொர்செஹமெஇ சஹனஎஅ, Corsehamei Sahanæa), while the protectorates lasted until 1956, when the Colony and the Protectorates were united as the British Union of Kyei, Sahanæa, and Sayei (Kyei: Britalae Uhodela Kyeikal, Sahanaeakal, Sayeikal, Sahanese: ப்ரிதலஎ உஹொடெல க்யெஇகல், சஹனஎகல், சயெஇகல் Britalae Uhodela Kyeikal, Sahanækal, Sayeikal, Sayei: བྷརིཏའ ཁཡིི, ཤའཧའནིཀའལ, ཤིཡེི Brita Kyii, Sahanaikal, Siyei), as an effort to grant them increased autonomy, in hopes for it to remain an integral part of Britain. However, by 1957, calls for sovereignty began rapidly, to such a point that in 1958, the last Governor, Sir Howard Scott held a referendum in Sahanaea, asking whether people wanted sovereignty, either as a protectorate, or as a true sovereign nation. However, in Kyei and Sayei, they asked whether to join Sahanæa, be a sovereign state, or as a British protectorate. Of course, they all voted for independence in Sahanæa, and in Kyei, to join Sahanaea. However, in Sayei, it wanted to be a sovereign kingdom, or so the polls say. However, Sahanese authorities annulled the results in Sayei and released it that it would be part of Sahanaea. A new nation was born.

Present Day

Under the current rule of the President, General Nu Win, president since 1958, since he was elected at the age of 21, the economy had collapsed, and the GDP, under British rule, once 59,500 pounds at its peak, in 1957, is today only 2 kyat (1 kyat = 1 trillionth of a penny), with widespread corruption. As a result, the economic situation is so poor that item shortages are common. Since 1958, it was divided into 4 states and 2 regions, but in 2005, the Federal District was moved from Yangoon (also the capital of the Yangoon State), to Naypyidaw, to prevent revolutions, as well as to try and end conflict in Sayei.

Kyat

Symbol: க்

1 kyat (1 trillionth of a dollar)
2 kyat
5 kyat
50 kyat
100 kyat
1,000 kyat
5,000 kyat
10,000 kyat
15,000 kyat
100,000 kyat
150,000 kyat
1,000,000 kyat
50,000,000 kyat
1,000,000,000 kyat
500,000,000,000 kyat
1,000,000,000,000 kyat (equivalent to 1 dollar)
100,000,000,000,000 kyat (100 dollars)
1,000,000,000,000 kyat (1,000 dollars)

Until 1970, there were cents, but due to the hyper-inflation, cents are practically useless. To prove, here were the exchange rates, between the Kyat and the Universal Standard Dollar (USD), in the black market rate. Despite efforts to re-denominate it, it is now so worthless that an entirely new currency would be needed to replace the kyat.

1958 to 1967: க்1 = 1 USD
1967 to 1968: க்10 = 1 USD
May 1968: க்1,000 = 1 USD
November 1968: க்100,000 = 1 USD
May 1969: க்1,000,000 = 1 USD
November 1969: க்100,000,000 = 1 USD
May 1970: க்500,000,000 = 1 USD
November 1970 to April 1983: க்1,000,000,000 = 1 USD (cents abolished)
April 1983: க்250,000,000,000 = 1 USD
June 1983: க்500,000,000,000 = 1 USD
August 1983: க்750,000,000,000 = 1 USD
October 1983 to present: க்1,000,000,000,000 = 1 USD

Official Exchange Rate, in contrast, due to propaganda.

1958 to 1975: க்1 = 1 USD
1975 to present: க்1 = 5 USD

Is Sahanaea in need of foreign aid? If so, then perhaps an embassy with Sahanaea might be a milestone forward for the Sahanaean people.
