In the Floridian Coast, bigamy and polygamy is illegal because it is seen to be part of a religious system and encourages subjugation of women. Good Floridian atheists know monogamy is the way to go, and it can be same or opposite sex.

to the contrary, most cameroi who don't live as hermits live as members of interest group families that USUALLY have multiple partners of multiple genders. marriages into them require a majority consent of all pre-existing adult members to them of course.

if everyone agrees, there fallows a joyful and wonderful merriage, celibrated creatively and often publicly, with everyone welcome who wishes to witness and attend.

i suppose bigamy would be someone being part of multiple other merriages that are secret from each other, but that would be, in the context of cameroi, rather pointless and absurd.
