The most popular song in the Kingdom is whichever one currently captures the fancy of the younger set and is enjoying its 15 minutes of fame. In other words, it changes with some regularity.

Pretty much this, in a nutshell.

But, if anthems count, our national anthem, Dear Syvorji is very popular, since it symbolizes its commitment to following Sozialistweg.

Basically this.

However, officially the Galladian Empire will always claim the Galladian National Anthem to be the most popular song in the Empire.

It changes all the time, but if we look at the most times a song has been played on radio it is the song Acapulco gold by the Free Birds. Its a psychedelic rock song that has been played at the radio more than 100 000 times the last 35 years.

At present the most popular song in Maropeng is This Is My Life by Edward Maya featuring Vika Jigulina. Although it was released more than a year ago, music from continental Europe takes a lot longer to become well known in Maropeng than music from the anglosphere.

Rock music (all types) as well as classical music ranks as most popular in our nation.

Our nation's current top hit is Vox Populi by 30 Seconds to Mars (understandable, as our people have just emerged from a civil war).

1:
The currently most popular song is Unperson, by Lumpensoviet (a Nefreedian rap duo). It is moderately critical of Nefreedian government and society, within legal limits.

2:
Hip-hop, heavy metal, rock, pop and orchestral music are the most dominant music genres in New Freedomstan, but it has great regional differences. Folk music has a large following in the north and electronica & techno enjoys a large scene in the Central People's Collective (capital, with a metropolitan area of ca. 100 million people).

The National Radio Association has a Top 10 grouping. It often changes with whatever the youth fancies at the moment. As of not, the most prominent albisian song is The Night by Doyo.

((OOC: I'll provide a close example. The song here is not the *actual* most popular song in the Natsiya since Russia =/= Burya Natsiya, and as such, the two countries have different national anthems. The link is just to give you an idea. And great music to boot.
I wish I could compose myself my anthem, tho. Would be kickass. ))

Our national anthem. It seems that according to the Top 50, a quite nice remix of our anthem is very popular right now. Although your usual, run-of-the-mill pop and rock songs are also there, high up on the ranks, it seems this particular rock remix just won't go away from #1.
