Damn this "All factions get the same unit except one or two different Infantry/Cavalry" bullshit, that went out of style right after Age of Empires.

I played Empire. I decided that whatever bullshit they were going to come out with next ("Stand alone expansion pack"? WTF?) simply would not be worth it.

Listen have you played Napoleon? Because it does not sound like you have. Empire is nothing like Napoleon, I have played both.

I'm not willing to shell out another $20 for doing what they should have done originally, even if it is better than Empire enough to justify it (Which I'm not convinced it is)

I'm inept at following file trails. In GMod I have maybe 3-4 add-ons not from the Toybox, yet well over a hundred downloaded and attempted to use.![]()
The few that use install/.exe files don't work for me usually.

See my edit, both use very simple installers. Just follow the instructions the install destinations are found by the installer program so you dont have to search around for the right folder. (When mods first come out it sucks to install it manually I know) I think you'd like them, especially DMCU.

You are so right mods do improve gameplay. I use a mod called Napoleon Total Factions, it is the best it lets me play as any faction.
