Would you allow it?

H-Alba has recently overthrown the Communist Regime and reinstated the Monarchy (the nearest relative to the old Monarch). However, may political parties have been created in such a short time. The Green Party, The Labour Party, and the Nationalist Party being the major three. The Communist Party of h-Alba has applied for government recognition, meaning they will hold seats in Parliament. Would you allow it?

In our country we allow any party to be formed as long as no violence has been done or supported by the party(if violence has been done or supported,all party members are arrested and the leaders involved are hung)

There is a Communist Party in Mercinova, but it holds 0~2 seats in the House of Commons and usually wins 0.01~1.5% of the popular vote.
Of course, to undermine the security or power of the Monarch of the United Kingdom is treason punishable by the death sentence.
We would say, allow it, it's not going to do too much harm to the social order with treason laws in place. >:D

Absolutely not. Firstly communism is a ridiculous and tyrannical ideology. Secondly they would always be trying to bring down the legitimate government of H-Alba.

As far as Xanthal is concerned, banning any political party from standing in elections is an affront to democratic principles. Of course, if they try to instigate violence or topple the government (by "topple the government" I mean the state as a whole, not just those individuals and parties currently in power), that's a different matter. If a radical new party emerges in Xanthal, it is granted the same rights as any other party until it proves itself unworthy of those rights, at which point the matter is sent to the courts, who may bar it from the government. Although frankly, if you have a vote and parties that openly advocate bringing down the state win enough seats to pose a serious threat, I would argue something is terribly and fundamentally wrong with the state.

Why would merely being recognized assure them seats? Shouldn't they need to win some kind of election first?

We'd allow a communist party to hold seats in parliament just like any other party... it's not like they'll ever get a lot of them anyway.

Only the Dinoist Party can be represented in legislation and all that. Other parties are allowed (minus Communist, Nazi, and Human Supremacist ones), but not allowed to participate in legislation.

Certainly. People can form whatever parties they like in the Empire. Fat lot of good it'll do them, seeing as how there isn't a legislature at the Imperial level.

If you're actually committed to things like democracy, free speech, free association, etc., you should allow it.

Yes. If you're such an improvement as compared to the Communist regime from before, then prove it by not forcing silence on those whose opinions you do not like.

Democracy? Pooh, we do not have such foolish systems. The people are allowed to speak about and/or against the government, to a degree, of course. However, our nation is an Absolute Monarchy, so a situation like that would not happen here.

Besides, Communism's quite hated here.
