How are the mentally ill cared for in your nation?

They're cared for with love in any of our Mental Health Hospitals. We try to provide the best for them.

Either therapy or being sent to a mental hospital or institution.

Hospitals and Hospice Care facilities when family and friends can't, or won't, take care of them.

Depends on what their insurance can cover, I suppose ... there are strict laws protecting the rights of insane people to be so, however, meaning that as long as they are not a danger to others specifically (and not just a danger to themselves), they cannot be held against their will. Also, anyone held in any mental institution against their will has the right to demand an attorney and cannot be denied the right to communicate with friends and family.

Severely mentally retarded or those with conditions that might be threatening are institutionalized, if it is a mild condition they may be allowed to remain in society if they can function fully on their own (or by family care). Institutions while in the past were very inhumane have been changed and modernized to be humane, caring as well as continue research of various mental disorders.

Various asylums across Ialoclos are willing to provide quality care and support to those with mental disabilities and conditions. Several rehabilitation services/centers can be located as well.

We believe that someone with a mental illness is Unwanted therefor are ignored by society and our resources are not wasted on them

We don't try to "treat" everybody into thinking the same way. Anybody who doesn't do any harm is free to live however he wants to. The few who do harm and don't seem capable of rehabilitation are watched over by the equivalent of "parole officers". Counselling is always available, for free, for anybody who wants it.

We do consider many (most) of the governments in the world to be mentally ill but there are far too many of them for us to offer any treatment.
