This evening at the Imperial Council:

Archempress Nina was shocked about this. Right in front of her was the last diplomatic note from Saubreme, a nation that was founded only a short time ago and was already mocking the regional power of glorious Transvulkania. Panvulkania has been reasonable with it's demands, as with the demand of freeing fellow humans, that were considered "national animals" and making Saubreme a protectorate, in order to allow for prosperity under the protection of Panvulkania. But now this inpolite, completely disrespecting telegram arrived.

I'm afraid we were not joking. All communications and interactions between Saubrme and Transvulkania are to cease now. Thank you for amusing me.

This was the answer after a lengthy dispute over an ultimatum of Saubreme, asking for humiliating and therefore impossible tasks.

This would only be solved through war and so the Archempress, together with the Prime Minister Evangeline Anovilis, as well as Minister of war Christine Monteriggoni, signed the declaration.

After a long time considering all possible diplomatic steps that may seem appropriate to the situation, we, the Panvulkanian Empire, consisting out of both halves Transvulkania and Cisvulkania, as well as the associated colony of Charlottinien, express our dismay on the abyssmal treatment of fellow humans by Saubreme with one of the most extreme methods known, war.

We are aware that this may be a harsh method, but it seems that the reeducation of Saubreme and the freedom of those enslaved by Saubremien society are only possible by force. We ask third parties, unrelated to the issue to remain neutral

And with this the IPA (Imperial Panvulkanian Airforce) started it's preparations, while the navy called it's men onboard and the army mobilised at the border.

Official Written Statement from Eucliwood Hellscythe, Queen of Necessarius, broadcasted worldwide

Our people recently came of of dark times. From the brinks of oppression and despair, we were able to rise up against our power-hungry old leader. And yet now, we are accused of the maltreatment of our own people - our comrades, who fought along side us during the Dark Times. It was stated that a reason for the "intervention" was because that we "Did not treat Lolis has fellow humans". I at first considered this a joke. Yes, our national 'animal' is the Loli. However, that is only a way of how we express our compassion for them - it was them who were the catalyst for leaving the dark side. Furthermore, we even laid Victorique de Blois's beautiful face upon our national flag, who was a prominent figure that died during the war! Our love for her is never ending.

We see this as but an excuse for hostile invasion of The Holy Empire of Saubreme. We have no military. We concede with strict laws in order to award all those who reside in Saubreme their rights. And yet, we are now being accused of not following through, and are now faced with an army many times bigger than our total population.

This is but a sincere plea: Please, to anyone who believes in justice; what is right; the protection of the weak. We beg of you to aid us. Please, defend us from these people. From a heartfelt position, we need help in order to prevent the massacre of a people, and likely the Lolis that Transvulkania are trying to "protect".

Imperial Statement from Panvulkania

The Vulkanians were living in peace and are poor but social and polite people. We aren't declaring war for no reason, but it is necessary to avoid ongoing slavery in Saubreme. Nina Hinagin, our beloved Archempress, is sad to send troops for this mission, but after getting even a list of twelve humiliating demands, shattering the honor of Panvulkania if agreed on, we decided to prove the Saubremiens that there is no future for a country behaving in a way it did.

These twelve demands mentioned above would rob our country from it's protection as well as it's approval of human rights, as we were asked to agree on the bad treatment of Lolis. We can't ignore this behaviour and we won't, even if Saubreme hasn't got an army, there is no excuse for shamelessness demonstrated in it's telegrams.

After the declaration of war became official, the first strategic bomber fleet, consisting out of four long-range bombers (carrying approximately 80 tons of bombs) started the aerial bombardement of Saubreme, while the first troops are preparing for landing operations.

Lelouch [Nation-wide broadcast]: Attention! All survivors are to move into the underground bunkers. You have ten minutes to gather personal effects, and the bunker will be sealed in 20 minutes. For the good of those already in the bunker, no one attempting entry will be accepted. You have been informed.

Imperial Announcement

From now on for an undefined duration the Imperial Navy of Panvulkania will blockade the Island of Saubreme. Every ship, boat, airplane or other vehicle passing the Blockade has to go through inspections, to search for any support of the Saubremien regime with materiel or war supplies. Every humanidarian aid is accepted. If a ship is found out to deliver forbidden goods to Saubreme, it is confiscated by Panvulkania, cleared of it's load and returned to the original owner.

We once again implore you, those outside of the evil influence of Palkuvnia. They have now resorted to such barbarity, even killing the ones they claimed they were trying to save! We-

Damage Report

City of Saubreme has been heavily damaged, and 47% of it is completely destroyed.
The ground above the bunker has been heavily damaged, but the bunker has still not been opened. The all but one entrance to the bunker have been completely buried, and the remaining one has sustained heavy damage.

We trust in your army that it will achieve victory over those who stain love with their behaviour, degrading others in the name of love, to animals.

Fire roared around inside the caves of Bunker level one. Fortunately, the Second level doors had long since been sealed, so very little damage was caused. However, through the tiny holes and such inside the bunker, some fire was able to break through, killing 18 members of the Engineering section on the other side of the door, and destroying their equipment.

We once again implore you, those outside of the evil influence of Palkuvnia. They have now resorted to such barbarity, even killing the ones they claimed they were trying to save! The are now employing inhumane tactics, and attempting to destroy the very air we breathe. But we will not fall to such underhand tactics! Furthermore, any outside nation can show their support for justice and all innocents worldwide, by helping defend us from the Evil Palkuvina.

Statement from the Panvulkanian Army

We now have secured the first level. We hope we can proceed like this. Until now those dim-witted fools haven't surrendered, forcing us to continue. And believe me, it's no fun to bomb poor Lolis. We now proceed with our attacks. We searched the whole island and closed al openings, stopping the supply with fresh air. After all there are 7 million inside, so O₂ should get scarce. Especially if we burn it. If there should be more levels, we may run out of inflammables though, so we would resort to other measures. But after all we can say our attacks got better, as only 18 civilians were killed last time. Way to go

The Forces of the CEC (Charlotte Expeditionary Corps) now finally got to the door. The fire attacks seemed to have been ineffective, but at least the structure of the system was damaged. With a great dose of explosives, the door was opened, the corps stormed in, with bayonets attached. Saubreme should end here.

The Palukavian Soldiers, after breaking through the door, traveled down further into the bunker. As they went further in, a scene of total horror awaited them. Inside the bunker were thousands of bodies riddled with bullets. The stench of blood was nauseating. At the other side of the bunker, another large, metal door stood.

After one minute of continuous beating, Mizore slowly slumped to the floor, her face covered in blood. Lelouch then put a foot on a her head, and pushed it into the floor
Lelouch: How does this feel? What om earth are you doing? You should know what the only reason that you're actually here.
Mizore: Screw...you...
Lelouch: Shoot both her kneecaps
Aide: Sir!

After Lelouch's exit from the room, a scream of pure pain could be heard for a few seconds, before dying down again.

[Transvulkania]

Seeing this scene of barbaric cruelty, the corps spread out. They now knew they were right. There wasn't much resistance, except the concrete walls. Soon they had enough explosives to open the door. With much noise and dust the door fell and the corps tried to occupy the next room behind, after throwing a stun grenade in.

[Saubreme]

As soon as the doors opened, volleys of bullets flew out straight into the path of the incoming soldiers. 1,000 were instantly killed, with another 300 dying as they tried to reach cover. A sadistic voice rang out from inside of the third bunker.

Lelouch: Fools. Did you really believe the honor of this country? All of you just deserve to die.
A slight moan came from behind him. Slowly, Mizore tried to drag her self into the second bunker, leaving a large trail of blood from her desecrated legs.
Mizore: Help...
Her eyes widened in pain, and she fell to the ground
Lelouch: What on earth is she doing here?
His Aide then runs to him, panting heavily.
Aide: Sir! I have no idea! My greatest apologies!
Lelouch: I don't care
Lelouch then takes out a gun, and shoots the Aide between his eyes. He then points at Mizore
Lelouch: Take her away
Lelouch [Addressing Paulkvanian Soldiers]: You have no idea what you are getting into. If you leave now, I will forget this whole incident ever happened.
He then walks back into the third bunker, slowly disappearing into the darkness.

The Panvulkanian soldiers did as ordered and continued. Soon the rebel rabble, calling themselves soldiers, were overwhelmed and those who weren't shot were either stabbed or caught and were PoWs.

One could feel the determination with which the corps continued. Altough the first platoon got massacred, the tables turned and it got rather one-sided. Amidst the mess of fighting and corpses a member of the Chasseurs charlottiniques aimed at General Lelouch. Altough the head was targetted it hit the neck, disabling Lelouch to fight any further, leaving him in a critical situation.

After the last pseudo-soldier sunk to the ground, General Lionin entered the room and asked one of the remaining Saubremiens.

The Palkvanian soldiers were able to cut swathes through the 'army'. Many of them surrendered as soon as they saw the other army. None of the survivors had the motivation to fight, let alone the weaponry.

Lelouch lay unconscious, barely alive where he had been shot. Discarded by those there, he was soon captured by the Paklvanians and but into a state where he would survive, but under heavy guard.

A further door was at the end of the third bunker, where the Palkvanian army stopped and looked.

After the place was secured, the last door was bombed open and carefully approached by the CEC. Behind a corner stood General Lionin and shouted.

Anyone in there? Everyone come out and surrender. Else we have to resort to force.

There was no answer from the other bunker. However, a body flew out at the troops, incredibly fast, heading straight for the one at the lead. A faint crying could be heard from inside the fourth bunker.

With bayonets attached and carefully as ever, the CEC entered the last room.

Who's there. Answer or be shot.

The body was examined.

The body of Mizore Shirayuki slowly fell to the ground, a gaping whole through her stomach from the bayonet that impaled her.

As the Corps entered, fourth bunker, the lights automatically turned on. From there, the Soldiers could see see countless thousands of civilians, all tied and gagged, covered in blood. What shocked the soldiers most was the fact that every one of them had an explosive device attached to them, beeping as if it rared to explode, and cause a chain reaction that would likely kill everyone in the vicinity. The civilians wailed in distress upon seeing the soldiers, and started trying to move back, to escape them, it would seem. There were no hostile units in the room.

Statement of the Panvulkanian army

After a long battle, trying to invade the bunker, we have encountered severe problems. But after all we were victorious. This is overshadowed by the loss the world has with the great part of the population of Saubreme being killed in Saubremien infighting, caused by a rebellion of General Lelouch, who was secured by the army. He will later on be put to justice for crimes against humanity and for now we also don't know the whereabouts of Eucliwood Hellscythe, who we look after for causing this major uproar. In the sanitary dangerous situation with all those corpses, we fear of diseases, therefore the complete island will be closed off and put under Panvulkanian administration, until things are sorted out. We also issued a vote for a transitional head of state to end this war on good terms, helping both nations and making such incidents less likely to happen in the future.

Every transport, communication and other connection to the outside world gets severed by the Panvulkanian army, patroling the beaches, coastline, airspace and jamming any signal, that seeks to leave the island.

Released video, that broadcasted on all channels globally and the transmission was unable to be stopped

The video showed four people tied to a ceiling by their feet. Hanging upside down, it was clear that they have been beaten almost to death. A watermark then appeared, and named the four as: "Eucliwood Hellscythe", "Hinagiku Katsura", "Mei Terumi" and "Holo". All four had once held high governmental positions, especially Eucliwood, who had lead Saubreme. Then, a masked gunman appeared, put a gun to Mei's head, and pulled the trigger.

The video then cut to to a shot of the fourth bunker, with the civilians and explosives. Suddenly, one emitted a high pitched sqeal, and detonated, causing a chain reaction. The entire bunker was destroyed.

All of the 10,000 civlians inside were killed.
