Introduction
To Attack or not to attack? To silence or not to silence? To expand or not to expand? These are questions frequently asked by world leaders. The goal of Earth's Political Leaders is usually to better the lives of their citizens, or to benefit themselves. It doesn’t matter if your Conservative, Libertarian, Communist, or Fascist. You will fall into one of these two groups. And that is the point of Conquest, NS newest Earth RP thread. In this RP, the object will be to improve your nation, whether it be through economics, war, or politics. It's up to you. You can oppress your citizens and spend 10% of your Government's Budget on yourself, or you could give your citizens full rights, and spend money making their daily lives better. It's all up to you.
Notes
Some things I feel the need to explain. First, You can set up your country however you want it. If you want, you can have Germans that speak Korean and practice Baja’s that live in Botswana. Your country doesn't have to be like it is IRL. Second, as stated in the Introduction, you can rule your nation to your hearts desire. Kill off all your Scientologists or kill off all your southern citizens if you want to! (Note: Not recommended, as other nations generally frown upon genocide.) Third, there will be a separate website for Conquest that will have different sub forums in it for things like technological advances, wars, and all that good stuff. Fourth, if you really need help setting up expectable RP's, just ask one of the more experienced players. Fifth, nations can't Godmod other nations unless both nations give the OK. Just keep your weapons at a reasonable amount, please? Lastly, if you have any OOC questions/comments about this thread, TG me please.

Claiming Land
To claim land is one of the most important parts of an Earth RP, as a nation doesn't exist if it doesn’t have a place to reside. Here are some of the Rules for Land Claims:
World Powers
There are 14 World Powers in this RP, and you may NOT claim more than one of them. However, as the game progresses, you will be able to attack/invade other powers, and thus you could end up with more than one power.
The powers are, in no particular order: USA, Russia, China, The United Kingdom, India, Turkey, Japan, Saudi Arabia, France, Australia, South Africa, Canada, Germany, and Brazil. Please note that World Powers may choose two countries other than their won, but can absolutely not start off the RP with four nations. (See below)
Regular Land Claims
This is for people claiming land that is not a world power. For these, you have few rules, except that you may only have claims on 3 countries. (I.E. "I choose Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia.") However, if you want a fourth nation, the nation must be exceptionally small, such as if your claiming Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia, but want to have Singapore in there too. Another rule to this 4th nation is that the fourth nation MUST be bordering one of your original 3 land claims.
Colonies/Overseas territories
Conquest will allow nations to have overseas territories/colonies in any part of the world, but there are restrictions to this.
-You can't start off with colonies the size of Brazil. Or, for that matter, your colony cant be another country, unless the country is smaller than Nepal.
Note: As the game progresses, you will be able to expand colonies as you wish.
Population
There will be few laws on Population for Conquest, but so everyone knows them, here they are:
-Population Cap: 2 Billion
-Population cannot exceed your Nation States Page population
-Be Realistic about populations! You aren't allowed to have 3 billion people living in Italy.
Military
Due to to the common confusion of military sizes, this is more of a resource than a rule.
Militaries are rarely more than a couple % of your nation's population. So, to prevent nations from having a fajilion people in their Military, the cap on people in your nations military is 2% of your nation's population. Here is a helpful link for RL Nations Military sizes
