Still, I don't want to offer up a 80 ton tank if you live in swamps and jungles where it will just sink, and I don't think it would add anything if I offered a $20 million tank when you were looking for something like a t-72 cost wise.

Regardless, Banjamos and I are working on a tank with these stats.

Name: LBM-(last two digits of year production started) Paladin
Year:
Designer: Luthorian/Banjamos government and private venture
Number Produced:
Number in Service:
Number in Reserve:
Production Cost: $9.5 million
Yearly Maintenance Cost: $1.4 million
Crew: 3
Length (Hull): 8m
Length (Gun Forward): 11.5m
Width: 4.3m
Height: 2.3m
Weight: 65 tons (the MkII, or second version can be heavier)
Main Armament: 140mm 50 caliber gun
Remote Weapon Station: Medium Machinegun and 12 grenade launchers
Left Coaxial Armament: Medium Machinegun
Right Coaxial Armament: Light Autocannon
Additional Weapons: 4 Hellfire missile tubes
Armour: ERA (add on), NERA, RHA, DU mesh, Tungsten Disulfide, Boron Carbide, and UHMW
Engine: 1,800 hp engine
HP/Ton: 27.7
Suspension System: Torsion bar
Transmission: Continuously Variable Transmission
Range: 450km
On road Speed: 80km/h
Off Road Speed: 55 km/h

It is still very much in the design phase, but the plan is a 65-70 ton tank with a 140mm gun, low profile, decent electronics, and the lowest possible detectability.

The S-98 " Myht Fumv " (Land Wolf) Main Battle Tank is an indigeneous design of the Black Star Machina Works. Based off of experience with various designs, mostly in building the replacement engines and armament systems for those units sold by HIA, BSM has put forth the Myht Fumv as a vehicle to be sold via Haruspex International Armaments.

The defense system as with the S-96 MBT, includes a laser warning receiver (LWR - the dome-shaped device on the turret roof behind the commander's position), that warns the crew that their tank is being illuminated by an enemy range-finding or weapon-guidance laser. The turret of the tank can then be traversed to face the direction of the enemy threat, and the laser self-defense weapon (LSDW - the box-shaped device on the turret roof behind the gunner's position), can be employed against the source of the enemy laser.

On the back of the gunner's hatch is an active laser suppression system, it's designed to directly attack the various guidance systems on the opponent's weapon system. it can be operated by either the commander or the gunner, the laser ray could interfere or permanently damage IR sensor's components (laser ranger; night-vision equipment; TV camera head; telescopic sight; etc.) and has obvious effect against naked eyes. the system is consist of micro-computer control box; target tracking sub-system; laser suppressor and thermal image jammer. the system can be rotated 360 degree, +90 degree to -12 degree, horizontal tracking speed 45 degree/sec, vertical tracking speed 40 degree/sec, laser energy output is 1.000 MHz, laser pulse's working repetition rate is 10ps, maximum working range is 4,000m, continues working time is 30min, laser beamer has a lifespan of 1.2 million. In addition, the driver is equipped with anti-laser glass for protection from similar system fielded on the opponent's platform.

The S-98 is also fitted with a computerized onboard information processing system, which can collect information from vehicle navigation (Inertia/GPS), observation systems and sensors, process it in the computer and display it on the commander's display, giving the ability of real-time command and beyond-vision-range target engaging.

Counter-Measures & Communications
The communication system on the S-98 has electronic countermeasures, electro-magnetic compatibility and multiple workstation capability. Mounted behind the commander's hatch is a laser communication and IFF system. It is a compact and multifunctional system used for IFF, sending digital command signal, voiced communication and laser detection. its receiver could function as a laser warning system on the wavelength of 0.9–1.06 µm. it has a working range of >3,600m. up and down angle of +45 degree to -10 degree (same as the commander's sight), 360 degree at horizontal level, target detection time is <0.6sec, 60 encrypted IFF code is stored in the system.

Further back on top of the turret is the Type-602 GPS navigation and position signal receiving antenna, its a two channel C/A code receiver and provide 3D military grade coordinates under all weather condition, data on tank's moving direction and speed along with those of the target can be established to provide suitable navigation route.

The Black Jack Main Battle Tank was originally an Oryctolagus cuniculus tank, built and manufactured in the city of Othus for both equipping of the national army, and that of export. With valuable lessons learned from The Decade War, and research time spent studying new designs both from the homelands, as well as those of allies. The Black Jack-02 was set to be the new main battle tank of the homelands, surpassing the Hoplite MBT as it's mainstay.

However due to financial reasons, the design actually bankrupted OAS Inc and in passing it was mentioned to a HIA representative. Taking the initative, we placed a bid on their corporation and have now aquired all manufacturing rights and the vehicles formerly produced by that of the OAS.

The main upgrade is a defense system that includes a laser warning receiver (LWR - the dome-shaped device on the turret roof behind the commander's position), that warns the crew that their tank is being illuminated by an enemy range-finding or weapon-guidance laser. The turret of the tank can then be traversed to face the direction of the enemy threat, and the laser self-defense weapon (LSDW - the box-shaped device on the turret roof behind the gunner's position), can be employed against the source of the enemy laser.

Length: 35.7 feet (10.875 meters) including gun barrel.
Weight: 60.4 tons (54.8 metric tons).
Power Source: Gas Turbine Engine.
Cargo Capacity: Minimal, enough for equipment with crew

Weapon Systems:
1. 125 mm Smooth Bore Cannon/Missile Launcher: Mounted in the turret. The S-95a can fire the AT-20 ATGW through the 125-mm gun; Truly a multi-purpose weapon that is considerably effective against enemy armor and structures.

Payload: 35 gun rounds; Usually 11 HE, 11 HEAT, 8 AP, 5 APSD. 5 HE, 5 HEAT, 5 AP, and 5 APSD are stored in the carrousel. Ten AT-20 ATGWs; These are essentially a surface to surface version of the standard short range missile. Armor piercing versions are standard. Five are stored in the carrousel.

2. ATR-50 Automatic Grenade Launcher: Weapon is very similar to the WI-GL21 Automatic Grenade Launcher produced by Wellington Industries and the American Automatic Grenade Launcher operated around the same time but uses a larger grenade and is heavier in design. Weapon was used in vehicles as well as being used in tripod mounts. Weapon can fire single shot or bursts of ten rounds and can inflict heavy damage when burst fired. Unlike other nation designs, the HIA automatic grenade launcher only uses belts. The tank normally mounts two belts together to increase number of rounds to 400 rounds.

Maximum Effective Range: 3,000 feet (914 meters)
Rate of Fire: Single Shot or Ten round bursts.
Payload: 400 Round Double Belt.

3. Light Secondary Mount (1):
Remote HIA " Kord " 12.7mm HMG: A favorite for many Haruspex heavy vehicles, the remotely operated Kord is effective at cutting down enemy infantry and or offering suppressive fire alongside other weaponry.
Maximum Effective Range: 3,000 feet (914.4 meters)
Payload: 400 rounds (10 bursts).

4. Multi-Option "Feta Cbnayt-8A" Jammers (2): These are multi-purpose jamming devices designed to stop incoming missiles and confuse an enemy targeting the S-95a.

Effect: Each firing launches two Chaff rockets, two Flare rockets, and the tank begins emitting a large cloud of smoke, both standard and Anti-Laser Prismatic Aerosol; The Chaff rockets detonate and spread Chaff over the area, the flare rockets floating down by parachute.

Maximum Effective Range: Around the tank only; Rough distance of 80 ft (24 m) around tank.
Payload: Sufficient for twenty firings; One of each type of jamming option from each side of the vehicle.

Sensors:

* Anti-Aircraft Radar: Range of 10 miles (16 km); Capable of tracking up to 10 targets simultaneously, this radar serves to guide the Remote 12.7mm Kord in engaging aircraft, and providing early warning of incoming aircraft and missile attacks; The radar can be programmed to shut off immediately if it detects an aircraft firing a missile, incase the missile is a radar-homing HARM type.
* Quadrant sight for long-range targeting of Sabot rounds.
* Data-interlink transmitters: For using targeting data from scout vehicles for firing the Anti-Tank missiles or Sabot rounds. Bonus varies on the quality of the data being provided, but all data would allow the tank to fire over obstacles if the scout vehicle is in the right position. The normal effective battlefield range is 5 miles (8 km).
* Full Infrared viewing mode: Range of 2 miles (3.2 km), with IR searchlight
* Two Periscopes: Has up to x100 magnification for commander and driver to view out of while maneuvering the vehicle. Visual targeting sight with same magnification possible for gunner.
* Laser targeting system: For main gun, range of 2,000 meters.

Special Notes:
Tank is fully NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) protected, and all equipment is hardened against EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse).

Image

This version includes the previous undisclosed 148mm hyper velocity cannon that was sold exclusively to the House Legions of the Sovereign Imperium. The S-94 MBT is fitted with a "three-tiered" protection systems: the first tier is the composite armour in the turret; consisting of basic armour shell with an insert of alternating layers of aluminum and plastics and a controlled deformation section.

The second tier is third generation ERA explosive reactive armor which significantly degrade the penetrating power of kinetic-energy APFSDS ammunition and also these ERA blocks give the turret its distinctive angled "clam shell" appearance. ERA bricks are also located on the turret roof and provide protection from top-attack weapons. The turret's forward armour package in addition to the ERA and steel plating contains a composite filler sandwiched of composite armour between upper and lower steel plates, the composite armour results in a lower weight and improved protection when compared with steel-only armour.

The third tier is the Able-01 countermeasures suite, produced by Verlaine Corporate Industries of Machina Haruspex. This system includes two infrared jammers on the front of the turret, four laser warning receivers, two 3D6 aerosol grenade discharging systems and a computerized control system. The Able-01 warns the tank's crew when the tank has been 'painted' by a weapon-guidance laser and allows the crew to slew the turret to face the threat. The infrared jammer, the Archon-2, jams the semiautomatic command to line of sight (SACLOS) guidance system of some anti-tank guided missiles. The aerosol grenades can be used to mask the tank from laser rangefinders and designators as well as the optics of other weapons systems.

Also in addition to the passive and active protection systems the S-94 is also fitted with nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) protection equipment, KMT mine sweeps and an automatic fire fighting system.

TBH the cost of many of those vehicles seems very wanked, especially when you consider that the M1A2 and Chally 2, both inferior to most NS and newer Asian tanks cost around 7 mil.

ICly: The Luthorian Empire would be more than happy to have further assistance in the development of its new main battle tank, and is willing to take anything from funding, to researchers, to raw materials, to designs on existing systems that may prove useful.

OOCly: Are you good at anything when it comes to designing NS vehicles? Can you draw lineart, or do you know a lot about engines or suspension systems, or transmission systems? If not than I suppose I could find some job for you, or give you some stuff to read so that you can know enough to do a write up on those parts.

OOC @ The Anglo-Saxon Empire:
A Challenger 2 is listed at 4 Million GBP. At current currency values, such equals 6.4 Million USD. Currently my vehicles are based off of the currency of my nation which has a value near to that of the GBP of 1 GBP = 1.6 USD. So currently the second most vehicle would come out to 5.12 Million NSD/USD.

OOC @ Zmajevo:
