Close? More like blue on blue. They're exactly like his style. Or better than his by those means.

The main difference is that he uses a few more effects than me (when you make these you notice everything), and he incorporates it into a film creation program, with the slide movement and all that. Stuart Brown (XboxAhoy) is a freelance production specialist after all.

Yeah, but from my point of view it's dead on. The lighting around the edges is very much like his. And the weapon and nation outlines share a common style. But the dimensions look a little different. I think that's because he puts his in Sony Vegas and makes a very interesting video with it.

I got my graphics partner to make the grid on Inkscape. Everything else I've made was made on GIMP, which is a free graphics editing software. Somewhere between MSPaint and Photoshop.

I love the conceptual designs, the "exclusively made for drawing" graphite & charcoal pencils are pretty hard for me to use, i always end up smudging too much so i don't use them in my drawings, thus my drawings lose realism and it becomes randomly monochrome. suck dog doo doo

A HB/2HB (a Number 2 pencil) I find is the best pencil to use. I use very light pencils like a 2H to do guidelines, then do the main lines with an HB, and then use a darker pencil like a 4B or a 6B to darken up the hair and the irises. It really depends on what you're doing and what kind of pencil you're keen on I suppose. And I never use charcoal regardless. I did it for one drawing a while back. It turned out decent enough but smudged everywhere. For stuff like shading I basically just swirl the pencil around randomly and then smudge it with a tortillion, which is basically rolled up paper in the shape of a pencil. Same effect can be achieved with your fingers or toilet paper, but I like my expensive 50 cent paper rolls.
