An open statement from Valerius Crocetti, King of Tedoka:

To all honorable nations of the world,

In my capacity and authority as the King of the Kingdom of Tedoka, and in behalf of the People who I represent, I am glad to announce the commencement of the Kingdom's Embassy Program. Through this initiative, we are opening our doors to the establishment of diplomatic missions and relations with the international community.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, currently headed by the Ministress Fulvia Tessarus, shall preside over the Embassy Program. Applications, concerns, and questions should be directed to her office.

The People and the King have spoken.

Pertinent Information

I. As a member of the World Assembly, the Kingdom complies with General Assembly Resolution 21 (Diplomat Protection Act) through its law of the same name. Specifics of the immunity granted to diplomatic staff are as follows:

II. All embassies shall be located in the Embassy District of the City of Tedoka, the Legatopolis.

III. The physical location of the embassy remains under the territorial sovereignty of the Kingdom with partial extraterritorial privilege granted to the represented country. Authorities under the Kingdom shall not enter the premises of the embassy without permission, and exemptions to certain local laws are afforded to diplomatic staff. Civil Guards routinely patrol the area to ensure its security.

IV. All staff are expected to respect Tedokan laws and regulations outside of embassy premises. The Kingdom reserves the right to declare persons considered to have gravely violated its laws, especially the act of espionage, as persona non grata.

V. A maximum of one main weapon, two side weapons, and three nonlethal weapons per security staff is allowed. The Ambassador or equivalent is permitted to carry at most one personal weapon. Armed vehicles are not allowed, but armored vehicles are permissible. One helicopter or light aircraft is allowed; storage is available in reserved hangars for rent in Tedoka Airport. Military-grade equipment is strictly forbidden. The presence of such is a ground for expulsion of the embassy.

VI. There is a limit of fifteen diplomatic staff members, fifteen security staff members and eighty service staff members in place.

The location of the new embassy is to be decided upon clarification of the Noordeindian government. The desired location at 12 Forum Legatum has a building present, where renovation of the aforementioned edifice to match the specifications of the Noordeindian government is not feasible due to size constraints. Tedokan law has no restrictions regarding the flying of flags of other sovereign governments within its territory, provided that there is no intent to claim sovereignty in the Kingdom's jurisdiction.

Upon lengthy discussion and debate regarding the issue of security personnel exceeding the mandated limit, the Kingdom has decided to grant the Noordeindian government an exception to these, as it is decided that the rationale provided ('War against Al Qaida"), and the potential security threats that can arise from it, merits such an act. With these in mind, the Kingdom will dispatch an additional 10 Militia Civil Guards tasked to patrol and ensure the security of the Noordeindian embassy.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs deems your application accepted with pending detail, where this detail is the decision of the Noordeindian government regarding the location of its embassy. ¹: In the situation of weapons, the Empire has a special request, and similar to the situation currently undergone in the Empire herself. Essentially, this includes the acceptance of several military-grade assault rifles, for usage as embassy protection. However, noting that these weapons must only be used for emergencies, we assure that, if these weapons are to be accepted by the Kingdom of Tedoka, that they will be locked and stored in an armory, implemented at the bottom of the Imperial embassy. Should the Kingdom feel it necessary, we are more than welcome to allow officials from the Kingdom to inspect it and/or guard it.
