Welcome to Panem, a nation that was created from the post-apocalyptic ruins of North America. The Capital, which is called "The Capitol" rules harshly over 12 Districts, each specializing in a certain trade. 44 years ago, all the Districts besides District 2, including the former District 13, rebelled against the Capitol in an era known as the Dark Days. The Capitol prevailed over the Districts and crushed the rebellion. Because of the loss, several consequences fell upon the Districts. One was the destruction of District 13, totally wiping it and it's inhabitants off the map. Another consequence was that each District was forced to randomly select one male and one female between the ages 12 and 18 to compete in a televised fight to the death. This event was known as the Hunger Games and it has been a part of Panem society ever since it's creation. And it doesn't matter it the children's parents like it or not - their child will either win, or die brutally.

Why hello there. I see that you have bother to read this far. For that, I'm most grateful. For, you see, this is an important part of this RP! The Rules! Yes, I know rules are a drag. But they are in place to secure the well being of the RPers and ensure that you all have the most fun possibly imaginable. Aside from trying to be a complete badass and being unkillable. Besides that! But anyway, do you like... See? I'm starting to randomize this paragraph. Let's get on with the rules shall we?

1 - I am the OP. Whatever I says, goes. Feel free to debate my decisions, but don't flat out drone me out. That's a no-no.
2 - Your character is prone to dying. There can only be one winner. Accept it. If not, don't bother to make an app.
2a - But that doesn't give you free will to go off and kill anybody you wish, unmatched. No, first I'd like you to work it out with the person you're fighting so you can agree on what the result of the fight will be.
3 - You can be a tribute or a mentor. Not both.
4 - No flaming, godmodding, tech-wanking, cock sizing, trolling, or anything of that sort.
5 - If you bothered to read the rules, put Tex is cool in your app.
6 - RP samples are nessecary for everyone, even if I know you.
7 - You can form alliances, but be prepared to fight them eventually. Or die by career indused death.
8 - Aside from killing everyone else, you wanna please the sponsors. Without them, you're basically dead.
9 - If someone could make me a map, please TG me so I can describe the arena to you.
10 - Have fun. This is an RP, not real life. Please stay for the next hunger games chapter, even if you do die.
11 - If you don't follow these rules, expect consequences.
12 - I expect at least a paragraph per post unless special circumstances permit. I also expect you to stay fairly active. If not, you're character will join the death cannons.

The Capitol of Panem is a fortress city where the wealthy and powerful people of the nation reside. Not only are the Games controlled from this point, but so are the twelve districts. It is known for its food, and fashion. The Rockies also act as a natural barrier and prove useful for the Capitol during the Dark Days. Capitol residents have often been said to treat The Hunger Games like a sport and as a highly anticipated source of entertainment, and take pride in betting on the tributes simply for bragging rights if they happen to sponsor an eventual winner. Some are sponsors to the tributes, giving them money to receive packages in the arena. Also, the more blood and fighting there is in the arena, the greater the entertainment for the Capitol. Despite the Capitol's power, it recieves the bulk of it's supplies from all the Districts.

** SEAL BEING FOUND **

District 1 makes the luxury goods that decorate and beautify our great Capitol. Its excellent taste and craftsmanship keep Capitol residents supplied year-round. District 1 is one of the wealthiest districts of Panem. Its primary industry is manufacturing luxury items for the Capitol. Some of them include diamonds and most likely other precious gems. It seems that names in this district are names of precious items, which may be a reflection on their "glamorous" nature and demeanor. Children in District 1 almost always seem to take pride in competing in the Games, and are among the group of tributes that band together to pick off the weak, called the Careers.

Our nation would be nothing without District 2's superb stonework. It builds and fortifies our cities and its citizens are known individually for their strength. As mentioned earlier, District 2 was the only District that sided with the Capitol during the Dark Days. Because of this, District 2 is often treated better by the Capitol. District 2 is made up of several villages, each centered around a mine. In the center of the District is a larger village which is based around a large hill, which is home to the Peacekeepers and other important Capitol military "play-things". While District 2 is a District based on masonry and marble mining, it specializes in training the Capitol's Peacekeepers. The tributes, like in District 1, usually train illegally before the games and volunteer at the reapings. The District 2 tributes usally join the Career pack along with District 1 and District 4.

Panem is one of the most advanced nations in mankind's history, thanks to the efforts of District 3. Its computers keep us all connected and its electronic gadgets keep us all entertained. District 3 specializes in technology. Most of its inhabitants work in factories and are very adept with engineering. It is located in the former Silicon Valley, California area. Its tributes tend to use their knowledge of electricity and engineering in the arena. District 3's main industry is electronics. They specialize in televisions and computers. It is one of the richest districts in Panem.

Do you like seafood? Shrimp and crabmeat? Often overlooked, District 4 plays an essential role, bringing us the bounty of the sea. These citizens are adept with nets and tridents, and can swim like fish themselves. District 4 is one of the richest districts in Panem. It's main industry is fishing. It too, is a rich district that often has careers in the games. Most of the tributes from District 4 are adept swimmers and are good with spears, but are extremely deadly with tridents and nets. But those are rarely seen in the starting supply pile. District 4 is located where the Gulf of Mexico used to be, in former Texas.

Electric, solar, and nuclear - District 5 harnesses the energy of the earth and the sky in order to power our great nation. District 5's main industry is power and it is charged with supplying power for the Capitol and Panem. The district is not low on food because they have a very low number of children claiming tesserae. They are a fairly large district and are not known to join to career pack.

Our hovercraft, our high-speed trains, and our cargo trains come to us from District 6. Ironically, the citizens here have little love for travel. Distric 6 is a very large district. Their main industry is transportation, but that doesn't play a big role in the arena. There also is a rampant morphling problem running through the district, and has even affected past tributes, causing their demise... or their victory.

This beautiful district is lush with trees, from which these citizens supply our lumber and paper. The people of District 7 are hardworking and down-to-earth. District 7 is a district dedicated to forestry. Their tributes are known to be deadly with an axe, if given the chance to wield one. The tributes from District 7 also thrive in a forest arena, their natural home.

From the simple, lovely fabrics of the districts to the brocades favoured in the Capitol, District 8 makes it all. District 8 is known for it's textile production and it's many factories. It is known that they make the Peacekeeper uniforms, along with the clothing that goes to the Capitol.

District 9 is Panem's bread bowl, giving us the fertile harvest we need to keep rising as a nation. Its amber waves or grain are an inspiration to us all. District 9 is a medium sized district that supplies grain to Panem. It's tributes are deadly with a sythe and/or sickle. Otherwise, they're are with the rest of the tributes.

The gentle lowing of cattle is the first thing a visitor to District 10 hears. This region raises strong, healthy livestock, which becomes the meat that helps us raise strong, healthy children of Panem. This District is known for it's meats. It's tributes are strong and hearty, and are talented with knives and machetes. Alongside that, District 10 tributes know weak spots on the body and even understand how and where their prey will eat, making them a formidable opponent.

Known for its bountiful orchards, District 11's workers spend their days among rustling fruit trees and sizeable farms. District 11 is a fruit growing district that is large in size. It's tributes usually are lightfooted and good up in trees if there are any around. They also know what and where edible plants can be found. There also is the sneak factor, which many District 11 tributes have.

One of the outer districts, this is nonetheless a crucial one. These brave and hardy workers descend deep into the earth each day to mine the coal that keeps our nation running. District 12 is the poorest of all the districts. It has a population lower than 10,000. District 12 is a coal-mining district that despite it's poorness, is filled with tough and hardy tributes who know explosives. Typically, residents of the Seam have black hair, grey eyes, and an olive complexion.

Kyle grew up in a lonely cabin off in District 7, where as a child he actually was forced to become a lumberman and create paper. Hatred for the Captiol increased as his parents were killed in a lumbering accident, leaving to himself in the cabin, fending of animals that have escaped District boundaries. He was lost to society when he was 9-12, but was discovered by expanding construction workers, who brought him back to the center of the District, where he made paper effortlessly. He continued to practice with the knives in his broken down apartment and was renounded for his tree chopping skill, attributing to his strength.

Weaponry Skills: Extremely good at axe and knife throwing, fair at swords.
Other Skills: Is stronger than most and is intelligent in foliage and Capitol fauna.
Flaws: Doesn't trust others, other than his District tribute, has a distaste(how he puts it, really a fear) for Careers, along with going into fits of rage at times.

And remember in the book when he was being torn to shreds by the muttations and all Katniss described was a bunch of meat that when it talked, blood gurgled when he moaned for a kill, and she used her last arrow. That did not happen in the movie, guess it could've been R. Enough talk, I hope more people come!
