Market socialist.
“Beware the irrational, however seductive. Shun the 'transcendent' and all who invite you to subordinate or annihilate yourself. Distrust compassion; prefer dignity for yourself and others. Don't be afraid to be thought arrogant or selfish. Picture all experts as if they were mammals. Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity. Seek out argument and disputation for their own sake; the grave will supply plenty of time for silence. Suspect your own motives, and all excuses. Do not live for others any more than you would expect others to live for you.”

I'm an Aristotelian liberal (a type of "right-libertarian" or classical liberal) who advocates free markets, individual liberties, and a small, constitutionally limited government. (I voted "other" to distinguish myself from social liberals and liberal socialists.)

I live in Sweden, and the Nordic model is not the way to go, people. :)

My OOC politics are quite different from my IC nation's politics... I suppose 'New Right' is a term that describes my political standing. I'm in line with John Howard and Peter Costello and Tony Abbott (in my native Australia) and Thatcher and Tebbit and Farage (in the good old UK). I suppose that makes me a 'conservative' but I prefer to use the term 'sceptic' as it's more flexible/ambiguous and can be applied to just about anything: I'm sceptical that socialist economics will leave me any better off and I'm sceptical of social engineering experiments such as multiculturalism but I'm also sceptical of the claims of many politicians on the right that man-made climate change is just a left-wing hoax. That leaves me in a very awkward position as I'm despised on the right and despised on the left for some ridiculous thing or other...

Pretty much a mix between Libertarian and Conservative. I support conscription and tight borders, while I also support legalisation of drugs and direct democracy. And low taxes ofcourse.

I am a Liberal-Conservative. I am eco-friendly, but I like to use oil. I support Communism, but Capitalism is a good idea. I am a Nazi, but I am not racist. I deny the Holocaust, but agree that it happened. I am pro-choice, but I want to restrict choice. I am anti-war, but the invasion of Iraq can be justified. I am pro-human rights, but slavery is sound.

A friend of mine said that:
You are so bloody left that your off the scale. You have to go back from the right as you go round the political spectrum till you reach the right again then go round a few more times till you go back to extreme left.
"This guy is a State socialist, which doesn't so much mean mass murder and totalitarianism as it means trying to have a strong state to lead the way out of poverty and towards a bright future. Strict state control of the economy is necessary to make the great leap forward into that brighter future, and all elements of society must be sure to contribute or else."

Another one?

My ideology is a combination of traditional or 'High' Toryism and more modern progressive conservatism. I favour traditionalist conservatism, monarchism, environmentalism, patriotism, communitarianism, protectionism, social market economy and animal rights. Christian democracy is quite close to my ideology, but I'm not a Christian.

As per the politics of my country, I am secular. I embrace whatever means that will be the most efficient at getting us there. I think liberal democracy and human rights are things to be aspired to in the long term, though I'm a little more flexible in the short term.
