Inappropriate Advertising Report Thread

I'm still not sure about the URL. Sometimes it's the site's own URL, but other times I have to block whatever site it's using as an ad server.

Sometimes it takes a while for a block to become effective, so since the last reported sighting was a couple days ago, I'm hoping I got it.

If you use Google Chrome, use adless lite. It still registers the hit on the ad, so NS still gets the revenue, but it will replace the ad with something like your twitter feed.

NS gets revenue

That's a workaround, but what about people not on Chrome?

The reason (I assume) [violet] wants the ad gone is because of what it's saying. NS is a site with children under 13, and they don't want to be held accountable for inappropriate things popping up. I mean, Max Barry did say no inappropriate things...

It showed, I clicked on it thinking I was going to hopefully be absorbed into a world of Roman orgies to see the women of my wildest dreams (in my Roman incarnation), then I ended up being extremely disappointed with it. It turned out to be nothing more than a video game of building your Roman Empire type of thing... (completely different from what the advertisement says)

It's a difficult one to block, because it keeps being submitted under different names, from different accounts. Sneaky buggers.

It really does look to me like it should be blocked, though, so I'm hoping it's just a lag thing...
