[Neogaia]

In the year 1992 CE of the Gregorian Calendar (GC) of old Earth (Year -20 in the Neogaian Calendar), a scientific expedition of the Zeta Reticullan Commonwealth arrived in orbit around Sol. This was the first Zeta expedition to Sol in nearly two million years. The previous expedition had noted the presence of life on Earth, and this expedition had been tasked with examining how this life had developed in the interim. Upon achieving Earth orbit, the expedition noted that a sapient species had developed on the planet. This species was us, homo sapiens sapiens. The Zetas studied us for nineteen years, and noted that our social psychology suggested that our social structure (i.e. capitalism-statism) had developed in a trial-and-error fashion which had allowed small mistakes to accumulate over thousands of years, thus leaving us with a society which was ill-fitting. Upon further examination, they noted among us the presence of individuals who had realised this, and who were fighting for the establishment of a suitable social structure for our species (i.e. anarchism-communism). The Zetas decided that, as an experiment to confirm their observations, they would take a large proportion of these individuals and place them on a planet of their own.

This occurred in 2012 CE (GC). The transfer of anarchist communists to the new planet by the Zetas marks Year 0 of the Neogaian Calendar and is remembered simply as the Migration. The Zetas had already populated Neogaia, as the anarchist communists named the new planet, with many other species from Earth; mostly from the time of their first expedition to Sol (many of which were extinct on Earth at the time). This new society was named the Federation of Neogaia. With the help of Zeta technology, the Neogaians soon established themselves on their planet and the Zeta experiment is now underway.
