I'd rather make complex stuff in Sketchup than do my math homework on elipses.

In all fairness, though, elipses are friggin hard. Circles? Piece of cake. But squish them a little, and you've got a ton more work to do all of a sudden. Bleh.

Hopefully engineering doesn't require things much more complex than Geometry and pre-conic sections Algebra. Conic sections can go die.

Ah. I'm in Algebra II. So far, I've determined that I'm fine with most things, except graphing functions. Mostly because I don't have graph paper.

I absolutely despise when my teacher gives us a graphing assignment without any graphing paper.

My math teacher expects us to have graph paper. This is one of the few things I can see his reasoning on.

Composite shapes are easy, dude. Why not do the work? Unless there are tons of problems, in which case I can understand your reasoning. Lots of math work=fried brains

Okay, so then it has more complex stuff. I'm sure I can learn that. Just please let there be no conic sections. Please?

Homework is pointless, and in this case its too much work for not enough payoff... There's no punishment for being wrong either.

Working out 1 shape, fine, working out the area of 5 shapes that all crashed into eachother, Yeah...Not doing that outside the class.

Just integrating rotations which look a lot like cones, except more complex.
