This thread will be used to post your nation’s domestic baseball league results, transfers, anything of note should be placed here. You can generate league results using a scorinator such as NSFootySim or xkoranate, as explained in the Guide to Sports Roleplaying. OOC discussion should be placed in the appropriate thread when it becomes available.

We are starting a new international club competition revolving around the sport of baseball. The main governing body for this new worldwide competition will be called the Association of International Baseball Clubs (AIBC), currently headquartered in ?????, ?????, located in ?????. The major tournament that these clubs will be participating in will be the Baseball Club Champions’ Cup, and will be held within this thread. This tournament will be held once a month, starting right after WBC 21. You can enter this tournament by listing your nation’s qualifiers in a post on this thread; as of this right now, all associations are eligible to enter 4 teams into the Club Champions’ Cup, the top two will get a bye into the first round while the next two will start in the qualification round. Further down the line, or whenever the tournament will expand, more teams will be added to the Cup based on club and national coefficients.

Format

• Each round will contain a 3 game series, with the exception of the finals, which will be played as a 5 game series.
• A team will receive 1.5 points a sweep victory, 1 point if the team won a series 2 games to 1, half a point for the 2-1 loser, and no points if they are swept.
• In the finals, the points will be scaled from a maximum of 3 to a minimum of 0 (3 for a 3-0 sweep, 2 for a 3-1 victory, 1.5 for a 3-2 victory, 1 for a 2-3 loss, .5 for a 1-3 loss, and no points if swept).
• Bonus points will be awarded for teams reaching certain rounds, which are stacked upon each other for long-staying teams (.5 points for reaching the next qualifying stage, 2 points for reaching the group stage and/or playoff rounds, and 1 point for reaching each subsequent round after, and 3 points for winning the final).

• Club coefficient = Sum of points from series played and bonus points.
• Association coefficient = sum of club coefficient divided by the number of clubs entered.
• The last 4 Club Champions' Cup cycles will be added into the overall club coefficient.

With all that said, the deadline for entry into the first tournament will be on Wednesday, February 29th at 18:00 UTC.

A bunch of worst-to-firstness keeping things interesting, bar in the Central Division (and check out the Ilinge party in the basement!) The Gray Sox couldn't even make the final, although there's something else for them to compete for I guess. Anyway, the Tigers won in four, while the Dolphins needed five games to handle their wet counterparts. They would ultimately win the final series, with a blowout in game three giving way to a very taut game four. But a 2-1 win in game five gave them the championship.

• The top two teams will be placed in the First round bracket, and while the bottom two will be place in the qualifying bracket
  
• Host bids are now being accepted. Leave a Stadium name, capacity, and city; the Finals venue will be determined via a knockout vote style; last place stadium in the round is dropped out, and at any time a stadium gets more than half of the votes, all voting ends and that stadium is determined to be the host.

The deadline for entry into the 2nd Champions' Cup is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, May 1st.
