Despite the name,you can post any kind of military rotatory wing aircraft here.Be it transport,lift,support,PMT,FT...it counts.You are all also free to give constructive criticism of course,BUT NO FLAMING OR TROLLING MMMKAY?

No mech helicopters though,sorry...

The Ah-64-C series is our primary combat Helo designed by our military experts it carries two gau-19 Gatling guns and 30 thermal seeking missiles and HE fragmentation missiles meant for use against heavy armor. , While the MH-60L DAP is our troop transport it is commonly referenced as "Black hawk"

We also use the RAH-66, but that's a reconnaissance helicopter, not an attack one.

AH-80 Blackfoot:



The Blackfoot is a stealthy, highly agile gunship that represents the latest in helicopter design. It is equipped with an advanced fly-by-wire system.

The AH-80's targeting systems are very advanced, too. Earlier designs were connected with the gunner's helmet, but in the AH-80, the targeting system monitors the eyes, making it way more accurate. Once a target is picked out, her 30 mm minigun is capable of punching holes right through the target. The Blackfoot is also equipped with several Joint Strike Missiles, making it a deadly tank-killing helicopter.

The canard rotor/wing spins but can be fixed to act like a wing. Early pilots were worried by the aircraft's lack of a tail rotor, but after going up in the air, their concerns disappeared. The canard rotor/wing allows the AH-80 to perform an array of aerobatic maneuvers, giving it incredible maneuverability compared to other helicopters.

it uses contra rotating coaxial rotors i.e. the top and bottom rotors spin in opposite directions canceling out the torque than a tail rotor serves to counteract.



Anyway, The Crookfur Armed Forces have largely pphased all thier helicopters out of service with the VTOL rotary wing gunship role now being filled by the CFH-29A Buzzard Attack Rotodyne

Wasn't asking about the lack of wheels; Rather the fact that the minigun looks uncomfortable. Still, it does. Should the minigun be at the nose of a chopper?

Its not a minigun its a 25mm cannon...

A nose mount is only really doable if you have a very light gun system other wise your weight distribution goes completely out the window. Mounting the gun (and its ammo supply) directly below the centre of gravity makes everythign much much easier. Plus with retractable gear and an on mount imaging system you have full 360 degree coverage.

A lot of the buzzard is inspired by the OV-10 bronco, more specifically the versions with the 20mm belly turret:
