This time, the random decision of the Globe Cup final site involved a race... by mistake, the one responsible for selecting the site indicated the wrong address of his office to the representatives of the stadia, and then decided that the first one to find the correct way and deliver the files to him would be the chosen one. Therefore, the site of the final will be the Wide Aterro Sanitário, in Limbo, Estresse Intenso (cap. 70,000).

Arcticala Inlet return to international competition in the Globe Cup where they will likely field one of the stronger sides in the competition, although the nature of such competitions leaves it all up for grabs. The Electricians will have a bye through the opening rounds of the Globe Cup. Arcticala are two-time Champions of the Vilitan Stellar Division, in season 19 and 25. Arcticala earned their Globe Cup spot by virtue of their Season 27 Vilitan Cup championship, which they won over Inland Peaks. The Vilitan Cup championship is the 7th overall for the Electricians, tying them with Yeaddin Owls for the most all time. Arcticala were also Declasse champions in Season 4, and have won 4 of their 8 Tropical Trophy appearances. The list of former players at Arcticala Inlet reads like a who's who of the World Cup. From Vilita's Callum Banda to Cockbill Street's Rhianna Peters or the incredible Half-Starblaydi, Half-Rejistanian super breed of Syku-Lyku Agbayani, it is no surprise that the Electricians have had their fair share of success throught the years.

Arcticala Inlet will welcome players from a new nation to the corps in the UICA Globe Cup, having signed Super-Star Erathi striker Camthalio Ringëril and his Erathore National Team-mate, midfielder Anthony Rojas. Arcticala also added Azestella Ajhabeck, a 16 year old of Starblaydi Nationality who fled the country after the announcement that the Starblaydia National Team would be going on a hiatus, in order to pursue a worthwhile career in the V-League and potentially acquire dual-nationality in time. The "Electricians" nick name for the club has evolved through iterations of the clubs actual name, being referred to in Starblaydi press as "Electrical Outlet" rather than "Arcticala Inlet". Fresh media caught on, and 'Electrical Outlet' got shortened to 'Electrical' which eventually led to the nickname the team possesses today. *The club had a new stadium built during World Cup 34 and won their Season 25 championship playing in the beautiful new stadium. Unfortunately, during the V-League gap between Seasons 25 and 26, the maintenance costs on the new stadium were too great for the club to pick up, and the stadium fell into moderate disrepair, so the Electricians returned to their original home, Inlet Stadium, for V-League 26 and will remain in the relatively low-capacity arena until renovations are complete at their World Class facility.

Makosile, one of the founding members of the Stellar Division, have participated in all 26 seasons of the Vilitan League's existence. Twice the club has been relegated from the Stellar Division, but both times they earned an immediate promotion back to the top flight as Declasse runners up. Despite their ability to maintain a fairly consistent spot in the Stellar Division, succesful seasons were few and far between as the Makos went 21 seasons before their first Top-5 finish in the standings. Makosile have continued to improve, finishing 4th in the standings for three consecutive seasons, and will be hoping that their first taste of International Competition will bolster their chances for a serious run at the Stellar Division title in Season 27. In addition to their Stellar Division improvements, Maksoile won the first silverware in club history by winning the Season 23 Vilitan Cup. The club allowed key Season 26 players Atacir Tivalan and Retiso Buran to leave but picked up Mangolana National Team hot-shot JD Fuller in an attempt to climb higher in the standings. Long-time coach Lorenzo Abellan is known for his Karela-like tactics and will be looking to keep scoring to a minimum on both sides of the ball. This emphasis on the defensive side of the game shows clearly in the fact that the teams top all-time goalscorer, Jiujia Makae, netted just 18 goals during his Makosile Career.

Strike are one of the most storied clubs in Vilitan history, and always boast a very strong, very Vilitan starting lineup. Some of the best players in Vilita history have come through the gates of the locker room of Jungle Strike FC, including Callum Banda, Inaki Soler, Ricky Ezis, Jimmy Kater, Santo Kecker and many others. It took 12 seasons before Strike would win their first Stellar Division title, then they waited until Season 18 to win again. But Jungle Strike were clearly the dominant team before the gap, winning 6 of 7 Stellar Division titles, a streak matched previously only by the Yeaddin Owls. Strike did the double twice in that time period, and even pulled off the 'Triple' winning the Stellar Division, Vilitan Cup and Tropical Trophy all in Season 20/21. Strike have been to the knockout stages of all the great International Competitions they have entered, but never followed through with a championship, last being eliminated in the Semi-Finals of Champions League 8. The Strike will have a tough road ahead of them in the Globe Cup having to face one of the tournaments storied teams, but new signings from around Vilita will aid their effort, as Strike have raided Eastal Lunar for arguably the best defender in Vilita, Ritopa Simafela, as well as adding a trio of players previously based on the Island of Turoki. Strike fans seem to be particularly excited about the acquisition of Aniara Jiurjai, who many feel is due for a huge breakout year to solidify himself as a future super star and regular contender for a place in the National Team.

Two-Time Vilitan Cup Champions Eastal Lunar have bolstered their squad for the Globe Cup by raiding the roster of cross-range rivals Inland Peaks FC. Having suffered relegation from the Stellar Division in Season 26, Inland Peaks were always going to struggle to keep their star plays, especially Vilitan National Team rotational goalkeeper Jungrii Canopii. Canopii wasted little time, announcing his intention to join Eastal Lunar almost at the sound of the final whistle on Inland Peaks' relegation season. Lunar always picked up defending Uaajiala Pulkki from Inland Peaks. While Canopii has had some chance to prove his worth Internationally, little exposure has been had for Pulkki and many question whether the gamble of picking up the defense of a Declasse side is really the direction Eastal Lunar will want to go. Their first test will be the UICA globe cup, and Jungrii Canopii will certainly be prepared, especially if Nycflala Kater's Jungle Strike crash out before Eastal Lunar. The Eastal Lunar grounds are among the largest in Vilita, due to the location near the Vilitan Space Launch facilities. Launches are not typically scheduled for matchdays, unless total safety of the crowd can be assured.

As the sands of time slip through the hour glass, the winds of change blow and eras come to an end, the moving finger writes; and, having writ, moves on. The Una Serie is no more, the same can be said of the Super League.

But with endings, comes new beginnings as Pasarga and Queer Poco el Mono Ara embark on a new voyage, thrusting 24 teams from two nations into the newly formed Liga de Fuego (named after the body of water that separates the two nations) the 24 will battle it out for the title and positions in the UICA competitions and, ya know, to avoid relegation into the doldrums of the lower leagues, which are being retained for no other purpose but to keep things fresh with the upward and downward movement of the bottom ranked teams. Alongside the Liga de Fuego, the two associations will be delivering a new cup competition, the Copa de la Luna y el Fuego, catchy isn’t it?

Some of you may be wondering why? WHY GOD WHY? Well, isn’t it obvious? Money. With Pasarga’s Super League finding themselves strapped for cash and the Una Serie clubs being run by mercenary b****ds it seemed logical to thrust the two competitions together and try squeeze as much cashola out of the endorsements, the potential increase in ticket sales and a prospective influx in television rights.

Vanorian Revenge?

Well, it was not pretty, but all three Vanorian clubs that made it to the TQCC group stage managed to advance to the knockout stage. This is only the second time that such a feat has happened for Valanora's club, but does not match the success of sending all four entries into the knockout stages, which this reporter still believes we are the only association not in a joint league to do so. More to the point however is the fact that after the very disappointing showing of the last edition, Raynor City United came out swinging and nearly took the group title, coming in second only due to head to head goal difference with their JSY counterparts. It is a satisfying bounce back for the historic Vanorian club after so much disappointment that came in the last edition. Luck it seems is even favoring the Rockers as the draw for the knockouts has it where they would not meet Mar Sara or Hondo until the Final itself.

The Flames and Owls however made life tough on themselves but still managed to advance, with seven points each, Hondo only advancing thanks to their own superior head to head results with Firewood City of Osarius. All the same, the pair of clubs did manage to pull out the results needed to progress and with the knockouts, anything is quite possible. Hondo is in the unique place to offer a bit of revenge for all Vanorians as they take on SK of Polar Islandstates, the same nation that knocked the Marauders out of the previous World Cup. All signs point to a Hondo victory, but as the Marauders found out, you do not underestimate the Polarians and live to tell the tale. Mar Sara on the other hand will have to have their "A" game, as they take on Sonoma Center of Paripana in the Round of Sixteen fixture.

Looking abroad, Espy va Drake got a bit of personal satisfaction in grabbing a hattrick against FC Mildred of Erathore in one of the preliminary rounds. FCM seems to make a bid on the the attacking winger each and every transfer window and grabbing the hattrick seemed to be a personal mission to tell the side, thanks but no thanks. However Espy and Yuba United were unceremoniously dumped from the group stage without even a single victory to their name or in third to fall into the Globe Cup. Meanwhile, a new joint league has appeared in Rushmore between the nations of Queer Poco el Mono Ara and Pasarga, with VI looking to get in a quick sponsor bid before any other rivals can, with EIPB looking at aquiring TV rights for their premier matches.

At 25th, Erathore is the lowest-ranked association to win a UICA title, surpassing FKM’s achievement of last season. With the victory, Minneriz qualifies for the Super Cup.

During the Series B Champions’ Cup awards presentation, UICA announced the introduction of its Order of Merit “for exceptional acts of service to the club football world not recognized by other UICA awards.” The first such plaque was presented to representatives of the city of Metropolis, Valladares for its excellent hosting of the Champions’ Cup, Globe Cup, and Series B Champions’ Cup finals, being the only city to have taken on the staging all three events.

Champions’ Cup 37: The number of teams allowed is determined according to league coefficients, with the following distribution:

Associations ranked 1–3 (Cafundéu, Capitalizt SLANI, and Valanora) are allowed to enter four teams.
Associations ranked 4–6 (Estresse Intenso, Aguazul, and Jasĭyun) are allowed to enter three teams.
Associations ranked 7–28 (Valladares, Krytenia, Kagdazka and Pazhujebu, Queer Poco el Mono Ara, Ad’ihan, Zarbli, Polar Islandstates, Sorthern Northland, Mytannion, Osarius, Astograth, Pasarga, West Zirconia, Whirl Islands, Starblaydia, The Babbage Islands, Eastfield Lodge, Erathore, Civil Citizenry, Liventia, Taeshan, and Cotdelapoms) are allowed to enter two teams.
Associations ranked 29 and below, and unranked associations, are allowed to enter one team.
Special considerations:
- Unión de Ciudagua is assured a place as the title holder. If it fails to qualify for one of Aguazul’s three places, it will receive an additional place.
- Élite League: Has seven places. Capializt SLANI must enter at least three teams, and Jasĭyun at least two.
- Liga de Fuego: Has four places. Queer Poco el Mono Ara and one other association must enter at least one team each.
- V-League: Has two places, which must be filled by teams from two separate associations.

Globe Cup 34: Every association is allowed to enter three teams. Multiassociational leagues may enter six teams, of which no more than four may be from the same association.
Series B Champions’ Cup 34: Every association is allowed to enter four teams. Multiassociational leagues may enter eight teams, of which no more than six may be from the same association.

The Turoki Tide appear favorites to receive an invitation to the Trofeo del Príncipe, a tournament entering its 5th edition following the completion of the UICA cycle. Originally just a standard invitational competition, the Trofeo del Príncipe has recently looked to carve its own niche in the domestic cycle by restricting its invitations to the 'best of the rest' - that is, the top team in the league table of the invited federation which did not qualify for the previous UICA cycle. Turoki Tide midfielder Rexii Tzikas, and likely most of the Tide squad, were on vacation at various locations throughout Atlantian Oceania and the world when head coach Kristin Duodu sent out a surprise 'urgent' e-mail requesting all players return to the Turoki Community Complex as quick as possible to begin training for a potential pre-season tournament.

The Tide, who have only been part of the Vilitan League system for 8 seasons, having been promoted to the Stellar Division for the first time in Season 24. They have performed admirably however, never really threatening relegation in 3 seasons of competition and fighting strongly with long-time Stellar Division side Turoki Isle for a share of the Turoki City fanbase, and for the title of "Best Team in Turoki". With their 7th place finish in the table during Season 26, The Tide earned that title from Turoki Isle, who had beat the Tide by one place in the standings the previous season, and also placed higher than the other club from the city, Turoki United, had ever done in their 8 previous seasons in the Stellar Division. The only city with 2 Teams in the Stellar Division, no less 3 as they will have in Season 27, residents of Turoki City have tough choices to make when deciding who to support in the Stellar Division each week. However, should the Turoki Tide make it all the way to Valladares for the Trofeo del Príncipe, it will mark the first ever International Competition for the Tide, and its certain that all of Turoki City will unite behind their up-and-coming Turoki Tide.

Though the Sports & Culture Director, Boaris Alp, is very keen to get sports kick-started in Falcania, he has very little idea how to go about doing so, and is facing an uphill struggle. The most he has to go with are company teams; the loosely-regulated marketing engine has resulted in corporations fielding sports teams both to build company morale, and as a promotional exercise.

As an initial structure upon which to build, Alp has sanctioned the formation of the Falcanian High League of Professional Football. The High League, as it is known, consists of the 20 corporate teams that are widely considered to be the best in the nation. We do not expect the High League to ever rank among the highest of the region's opulent sporting organisations, but as Alp said in the introductory press conference, "We might at least be seen to be trying."

Manager Tobi Worner has assembled a solid, well-rounded team, but the question remains to be asked; will they show us the flair they need to really push the game against a similarly matched foe? With long-time business rivals Associated Digital also through to the competition, this will be a crucial moment for Integral; both home and away, Associated Digital were the slightly better team, but Integral couldn't muster up the imagination to break the deadlock that cost them a goal each time. That worry aside, we are sure that these boys will make a good showing of themselves at the AOCL, as long as they learn from their mistakes.

I've got a lot of time for the boys in the white and red. All season they made a very strong account of themselves; manager Wil Pankt notably scoured the unranked teams for players before the start of the first season, and he knew how to pick 'em. A solid team who know the field well, they made short work of OpPress, United Metal and Matsundai. They were very nearly league champions, notably beating rivals Integral twice, dragging the game out to 1-0 standoffs each time. It's clear that Pankt is a very astute manager, but not much for tactics; Gengrove turned a 2-0 lead for the Digital boys into a 2-3 loss, simply because Pankt failed to react to Gengrove's second-half substitutions. Their nose was bloodied by losing the title to Integral; they'll need to play smarter, not better, to clinch the trophy next year.

The eleventh Cygnus Cup welcomes twenty-seven teams from twenty-six associations, a rise of both three teams and three associations from Cygnus Cup X. Holders Mercia Bromham, and the cup winners from Cafundéu, Paripana/Capitalizt SLANI, Valanora, and Estresse Intenso have byes to the First Round.

Season I

Welcome ladies, gentlemen, elves, dwarves, mystical beings who we really do not know what you are, and everything else in between to the inaugural season of the Liga de Fuego. The Liga is a joint top tier league, combining the top twelve domestic clubs of Pasarga and Queer Poco el Mono Ara. In addition to the Liga, there shall be the Copa de la Luna y el Fuego, from which all clubs in both nations shall compete to claim top honors. The winner of the Copa shall be awarded a spot in the Globe Cup, unless otherwise qualified for the Champions Cup, in which case the runner up will be given that allocated spot. In the event that the winner or runner up is already qualified for the Champions Cup or Globe Cup, then there will be no awarding of the spot and all UICA allocated spots will be determined by league position.

Now that the basic rules and introductions are out of the way, let's kick off the season!

Matchday 1
The first matchday serves up a huge surprise as Fetherdron holds Royal Khaldoon to a single point in Torgos. Meanwhile, Liga favorites CA Paulinthal fall at home by two goals to relegation favorites SC Sardin, as do Club Stein-los to SC Myrkan at three to nil. Are the relegation favorites trying to prove the pundits wrong already?

Matchday 2
Royal continues their poor starts with a draw to lowly Jonastown at home, for which they have absolutely no excuse. In an early Paulinthal derby, CAP pulls a a rabbit out of their hat and trips up Santos at a goal to nil, while Turkish and Augustus have an eight goal thriller that might later prove important in the season when it comes to fighting for UICA places, with Augustus getting the victory.

Tanrısal makes a statement to the entire league as they go to Augustus and absolutely wipe the floor with them. Santos is dealt another blow, coming up on the wrong end of a nine goal shootout with Club Stein-los in Stein-los. Royal Khaldoon looks like they might have righted with ship after nipping Lunas FC in Lunas. CAP however is being inconsistent with a mere draw in Paulinthal to Skyte, meaning that relegation favorites SC Myrkan are leading the way after a narrow victory against Jonastown.

Matchday 4
Tanrısal have taken the pole position after a narrow escape against the unpredictable outfit of Baskita. However the biggest shock of the round came with Tulduroc edging out Augustus, leaving the Pocoan favorites for the title in a bit of a bind at only six points through four rounds. CAP got back to their usual ways with a demolition of Turkish in Stein-los and Skyte confounds Club Stein-los, looking to be the bogey teams for the big Pasargan sides already.

Matchday 5
Right when everything was starting to make sense, it does not once more! Sardin are now leading the pack after the combination of their escape in Lunas and CAP finding a way past Tanrısal at home leaves leave on eleven points, a point ahead of the would be favorites in CAP and Tanrısal. However, another relegation favorite is lurking at the top, as Myrkan continues to throw things for a loops despite a heavy loss to Peynol-Lunas. Pythons managed to extend Royal's miserable start to the season while a Khaldoon derby saw Ajax emerge victorious over Athletic. Augustus seems to be in a tail spin after their home lose to heavy relegation favorites 1860.

Matchday 6
Is this the start of normalcy in the Liga? CAP goes down to Tulduroc and blows United away four goals to nil to move up to first in the table, while Augustus managed to rebound against Ajax with a five to three victory in Khaldoon. Myrkan and Sardin both look like their Cinderella runs might be over as they both manage to lose at home, while Santos continues to flounder with a loss in Paunlinthal to Lunas FC. There was high hopes that they could sneak in a title in the confusion of the first season but it seems like they might be the ones who are lost.

Don't look now but CAP is starting to show their class as they and Tanrısal slowly pull away from the pack as they both record narrow wins against heavy relegation favorites. They are followed by Pythons who look to have put to bed the high hopes of Sardin with back to back losses. Royal is clawing their way back into the title race as they dispatched Ridgemont away.

Matchday 8
If there was any doubt that CAP is indeed not only Pasarga's but Rushmore's premier club, then it is starting to be put to rest after a dominationg three to one victory over Ajax in Khaldoon. Tanrısal is not one to back down from a challenge however as they continued their own winning ways over Jonastown, while Royal got their wings clipped by Valengren who is looking to right their own ship in the early stages of the city. All in all, it was a pretty boring weekend in the Liga, as most teams expecting to win did so.

Matchday 9
And then there was intrigue as CAP is held to a draw against Almondvale, Tanrısal loses in Lunas, and Club Stein-los edges Ajax to slide past Tanrısal into second. The biggest surprise though was Royal's disappointing effort as they got thoroughly beaten by Myrkan in Khaldoon. Although another disappointment has been Santos, who has struggled mightily to gain footing in the new league, being brushed aside this weekend by Real Minanda.

Matchday 10
Well, I certainly do not want to be the opposition when CAP feels slighted, as they went into Khaldoon and slaughtered Athletic by a scoreline of 5-2, making sure they would lead the league heading into the first week of the Copa. Santos, Turkish, and Tanrısal all recorded wins, but Club Stein-los lost to Almondvale away, meaning it was not a clean sweep for the big five of Pasarga. Royal continues to have trouble, as they were held in Sardin, while Valengren managed to eek out a victory over Myrkan. Augustus had a comfortable match in their win over Baskita, climbing into the TQCC slots after a fifth of the season has been played.

And after the start of the season, CAP unsurprisingly leads at the top, but that they are trailed by a pair of Pasarga teams shows that perhaps the island travel is a bigger influence than was anticipated, giving the Pasargans an early advantage. With another thirty-six matchdays to go, there is plenty of time for the Pocoans to find their footing and make a surge into title contention. However, the first round of the Copa is due next weekend, and as the league as already shown, any given day can have monsterous upsets.

Trofeo del Príncipe Fifth Edition

Following the end of the Super Cup and the UICA cycle, it's time for another edition of the Torneo del Príncipe, which brings in its fifth edition two new FAs to the show, FSSO and Vilita, while another which was denied an invitation last season (Erathore) is back for redemption. Aside from that, the other 5 associations (Valladares, Whirl Islands, Polar Islandstates, Astograth, and Civil Citizenry) who competed in the last one will compete this time, while the FA that sent last season's winner (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu), was unfortunately not invited this time, due to the VFA's desire to open the competition to other up-and-coming FAs.

Invitees, Format and Draw

Eight teams from eight nations were invited to take part in this Trofeo del Príncipe edition, and were split into two groups of four teams each, with two of them as "seeded teams", and the rest as "unseeded teams", making four "seeded" teams and four "unseeded" teams.

With two groups of four, the VFA once again made sure the Valladar and Whirl-Islander representatives, as hosts and special invitees, respectively, were drawn in different groups, leaving North Star Grímsey and Vincanto as the only seeded teams to be drawn during the group draw. This time, unseeded teams were separated into two pots, with Astograth University and Merrilin FC in a pot, and Bastion and Turoki Tide being placed in the other pot.

Seven venues were selected by the VFA for the competition. By order of the organizing committee, Canalave Dragons played all their group stage games at their home stadium, Dragon Stadium, in Canalave. The other venue selected for Group A games was Alain Tramontin Stadium, in Eterna City.

Group B games were played at Stade Jules Picot, in Bezieres and Stade de la Frontière, in Fontvielle.

The semifinals were played at Olympic Stadium, in Carloburgo and Estadio Gobernador Villa, in Pradera, while the Third Place Play-Off match and the Final were both played at Alexander I National Stadium in Metropolis.

Group Stage

The group standings were determined by: points, goal difference, head-to-head result, goals scored and a one-game playoff, in order. The winner and runner-up of each group advanced to the semifinals, while the other two teams in each group were eliminated from the competition.

GROUP A:

As predicted by most pundits, the Dragons clinched first place in their group, but not without suffering some early scares first, as Bastion managed to spoil the party in the tournament's inaugural match with a bittersweet 1-1 draw, however Yves Rexach's team found their true form in their match against Astograth University and clinched first place in a thriller against Vincanto. The Erathis, however, managed to clean up a bit the image left on the organizers by previous representatives from their nation doing decent games against the Astograthians and Bastion, who held a team to a draw once again, after doing it with the hosts in their first game. However, their scoreless draw against Astograth University doomed them to a painful elimination, going out of the tournament with three draws and qualifying Vincanto to the next stage of the tournament. Meanwhile, ~~Astrogothic~~ Astograth University were the continuation of Sporting Iturributa's woes and mediocrity last season and bowed out of the tournament with zero goals but a point in the bag, which meant the tournament's Wooden Spoon will stay in Astograth for a year more. Congratulations!

GROUP B:

And this was the group of surprises, starting with the Citiz representative (Merrilin FC) topping the group. After losing to Polarian outfit North Star Grímsey in their opener, the Citiz team managed to give the Red Diamonds an upset, and sealed qualification to the semifinals with a win over the Vilitans, with 6 points. The Whirl-Islanders finished with the same points, but the loss against Merrilin sent them to a tough semifinal match against the hosts. Like Bastion, Turoki Tide did a fairly decent campaign for a team from a debutant FA, however, unlike Bastion, the Vilitans did actually win a match: 2-0 against North Star, but those three points were not enough to give them the chance to make more money or maybe to play for medals. And despite the Polarians' opener was promising with a win against Merrilin, North Star crumbled in their following two matches and a loss to the host invitees kicked them out of the competition.

SEMI-FINALS:

This edition's semifinals pitted the host against its special invitee: the Dragons were going for their first international title (no matter if the TdP is considered of relatively zero importance), while LRD were willing to give the hosts a nasty surprise. The latter prevailed over the former, and the Red Diamonds killed the Dragons' hopes and reached the final of this competition with a clear 2-0 win in Carloburgo.

Meanwhile, the second semifinal faced surprise package Merrilin FC against dark horse contenders Vincanto, both looking forward to make their first appearance in the final match (and also the first for their respective nations), and the Citiz team kept with their goal of getting rid of strong rivals, defeating the Erathi side and ensuring two first-round rematchs in both the final and the TPPO.

Congratulations to Merrilin FC from Civil Citizenry, who won the fifth Trofeo del Príncipe and took the shiny crystal trophy from Vulkan's hands to their nation along with P$ 750,000, and 23 gold medals. Lagoon Red Diamonds' second place granted them P$ 500,000 and 23 silver medals, while the hosts, Canalave Dragons managed to earn P$ 250,000 and the bronze medals of this edition despite having failed their main goal in this pre-season friendly-invitational tournament. Moreover, Vincanto can be happy with their performance and their P$ 100,000, but their fourth place prevented them from claiming medals of any kind of metal. The other four teams who competed earned P$ 50,000 each.

Copa de La Luna y el Fuego Second Round
So, as we advance from the weekend to the midweek with a full slate of fixtures, we get to see the craziness of Cup competitions. Santos just can not get its act together, losing to RC Sardin on penalties, Augustus on the other hand managed to survive on the spot kicks after a bore draw in Myrkan. Galactica showed promise that they could be in the Liga next season with a proper thrashing of Valengren Rovers in Valengren, while the Kickers managed to get edged out as well, though taking Real Minanda to extra time at least. Tanrısal looked dead in the water in their fixture for the first ninety but managed to look like sharks in the extra thirty knocking in three and securing their advancement. The biggest match of the stage was in Pualinthal, where CAP and Turkish had a classic affair that only spot kicks managed to separate them by, with CAP being Lady Luck's favorite on the night.

Well, CAP is mortal after all, being held by Augustus at home, letting Tanrısal close the gap to a single point after they defeated Pythons comfortably. Jonestown however was the placed to be as United hung seven on Ajax in the ten goal encounter. Santos seems to have gotten things slightly turned about as they dispatched Royal, who need to be careful to not let this become a trend or they might end up in a relegation battle this season rather than a UICA fight.

Tanrısal lose their momentum as surprise package Real Minanda came into Stein-los and took the three points from the title contenders in a a classy fashion. Maybe in a sign of Stein-los solidarity, Club Stein-los thumped Augustus in their encounter. However it means that CAP's huge win in the capital over Baskita puts the gap at four and Valengren slipping into second after they took care of business against Sardin.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a title race indeed, as Valengren close the gap to a single point with their stunning win in Paulinthal. Tanrısal could not take advantage of the win as they were held to a three all affair in Myrkan and Santos found trouble again, this time in Sardin, which has been turned into a fortress with SC Sardin only not getting at least a share of the spoils in one of their six home fixtures thus far. Sadly, it is a trio of Pasargan sides lingering at the foot of the table, as Fetherdron and Baskita join a Tulduroc side that was expected to fight against relegation at the bottom. Oh Royal and Turkish fought out in and eight goal affair that saw both managers pulling out their hair before the match was done, no one able to take all three points however.

And there is a new leader of the pack, with the Kickers smothering Santos attack and having a field day with theirs. Club Stein-los got revenge for their elimination at the hands of CAP by holding the league leaders in a six goal shootout. Augustus' good early start seems to be coming undone after a home loss to Jonastown, while Royal and Tanrısal both went home unhappy as they ended in a draw, with both teams needing the three points in their respective races.

Red alert, the ship is taking on water and quickly! CAP went into the capital expecting at worst a point but instead will return home with none after Fetherdron got a last gasp winner to shock the powerhouse. Club Stein-los was not able to repeat its magic for a second week as they were felled by a Kickers side that is looking to build a comfortable lead at the top, which is being made easy when Augustus is not able to leave Lunas with a full collection of spoils. Don't look now but Royal has fallen to seventeenth after they once again were unable to find a winner against lesser opposition.

Skyte City, you are proving to be quite the bogey for the power clubs of the league, after your latest scalp in Valengren. Yet their rivals in the title chase could not make up much ground as both CAP, Tanrısal, and Augustus were all held at home and Turkish blown away by a suddenly surging Santos side. While Club Stein-los was also downed by Fetherdron, bringing the capital club off the foot of the table and putting Tulduroc there in their place.

Skyte does it again! This time at home against Turkish and in the narrowest of fashions. In a Khaldoon derby, Royal were very much humiliated by Ajax by a scoreline of one to five, leaving them struggling to get any momentum in the league. The rest of the big clubs managed to rebound after a rather poor showing last week, with only the Santos-Tanrısal match ending in a draw, preventing the power clubs of the Liga from putting in a full collection of wins.

As we head towards another round of Cup play, it seems as if all the big clubs thought they could coast on their merits alone. Valengren, Royal, and CAP all lose, while Tanrısal and Club Stein-los are both held in their matches, meaning only Turkish (who knocked off Valengren) and Santos are able to go into the Cup weekend on the momentum of victories when it comes to the Liga's elite.

Valengren leads the league, but only just, with CAP and Tanrısal tight on their heels. Out of nowhere though is SC Sardin who is occupying a TQCC slot after the relegation contenders managing to have thirty points through the first eighteen matches. The Liga continues to be full of surprises and it is clear that whoever survives the league will be battle tested, and those in UICA competitions will have an edge against their potential opponents. For now though, the third group of the Copa awaits.
